"With the exception of the woman who checked us in, there was really not a feeling of being welcome. We asked to have our room cleaned and I believe a young lady was really horrible in both attitude and how the room was cleaned. The carpet was absolutely disgusting with nail clippings and a few dead bugs. She left no toilet paper or tissues and we had to call the front desk twice to get the items. When the young lady came to the room, she sarcastically handled our daughter 1 roll of TP and a box of tissues. The conditioner bottle in the shower was completely empty.
One other item helped us with the decision to never stay at this hotel again. There was a service industry strike going on outside of the side door entrance. All the Main entry doors were locked by the hotel staff forcing guests to walk directly through the picketers! We were cajoled and yelled while the hotel staff just stood inside the lobby door. We have stayed at the garden inn each year for quite a few years... NEVER AGAIN. So disappointed."
