Friendly efficient staff. But chaos at breakfast as too many visitors trying to access small buffet area. Need decaffeinated coffee option ( as Greggs and Wetherspoons manage to do).

Room for improvement
Our first stay at this hotel. Very impressed and will return but our first cup of coffee after arriving at our room tasted horrible and had to be dumped. The kettle had not been cleaned. Rinsing and boiling remedied the problem and coffee then tasted normal.

Good staff attitude and manner. Had heating suddenly switch to cold air and a portable appliance was delivered and plugged in within 30 mins and the main heating isolated - good fast response. All clean and fresh with really good breakfast. Good value for money

Nice hotel with comfy beds and decent value. My room was over the air con units outside which were noisy. Breakfast was over crowded and had to eat in a conference room. Hotel booked a taxi into town for us which ripped us off, £25 for a three and a half mile trip.

Xmas 4 nights stay
4 disabled parking spaces is insufficient for a hotel of this size. More yellow lines needed around the building to stop VW dealership parking and blocking guests cars in. Some breakfast items had run out well before the end of service whilst bacon and sausages were still piled high. What then happens to that? Carpet and sofa were stained in my room. The lighting was inadequate; a bigger central ceiling light would have been welcome; various lamps isn't enough. Housekeeping was exceptional. My praises to this hardworking team. The standard was impressive. Receptionists were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Rated excellent by me.

Overall very good stay. Breakfast was great. Lovely hot shower in the morning. Only downside for me was the mattress felt a little too firm.

Room was fine plenty of space and bed was hard but comfy. Food was absolutely awful. Nearest restaurant is Beefeater but you need to cross 2 main roads to get there.

Home from home!
The hotel in Frankland Road was as welcoming as always. Staff were friendly and quick to respond to any requests. Great breakfast offerings! It would have been good to have found an EV Charging facility on site, rather than to be told "There is one someone near here, I believe."

Overall, an excellent hotel. Comfy, clean and spacious room. Menu choice for evening meal was good, if a little expensive. Food very tasty. Breakfast was also excellent. Drinks from the bar were a bit pricey too, in my opinion. Would stay again.

Hotel easy to find and check in was quick and easy. Rooms were very clean, breakfast was good quality and plenty with a varied selection. The only downside for me was the disabled accessibility room was the furthest away from the lift which was quite a walk.
