Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Rubirizi?
The best time to visit Rubirizi is during the dry seasons, which run from December to February and again from June to August.During these months, the weather is generally sunny with less rainfall, making it ideal for outdoor activities and wildlife viewing. The roads are also in better condition, which is a significant advantage when travelling through the national parks and rural areas surrounding Rubirizi. This period is particularly good for couples interested in safari excursions, as spotting animals like elephants, lions, and hippos is easier when vegetation is less dense and animals gather around water sources. For those planning to explore Queen Elizabeth National Park, located very close to Rubirizi, the dry season offers the best conditions for game drives and boat trips on the Kazinga Channel. The park is home to a wide array of wildlife, and the drier conditions mean clearer skies for photography and more predictable travel times between different sections of the park.
