"The hotel stay itself was fab. It’s in a fantastic location and the room was clean and comfortable, though the mattress was very soft and nearly rolled off a couple of times with the edges being even softer. No discount for the car park even though the website mentions registering the registration at the desk. Very poor communication from the hotel itself. We received a message which said ‘urgent’ and to check in online, which we’ve never had to do in the past. Worried it was a scam (because there was a fee to do so) I messaged the hotel directly - and through Hotels.com - and instead of receiving a reply, I just kept getting the same ‘urgent’ message about checking in online. This left me feeling worried then that my original booking wasn’t genuine and I stood in the check-in queue on our day of arrival half convinced the booking didn’t exist. Luckily, all was fine but the worry could easily have been avoided if only the hotel had sent a response to my messages instead of a generic automated response telling me checking in online was ‘urgent’ when, in fact, I could simply check in at the hotel as I have always done."

"My stay was clean and comfortable although check-in seemed a bit haphazard. My room was a little bit cramped even for a single person although it was a double room. There was not enough room for wardrobes or drawers so I would suggest some shelves in the room and en suite would be useful. Location was very good for accessing cycle routes on the Wirral."

"Third time I have stayed here. Lots to like Easy Access from Metro Station.Direct from Liverpool Lime Street Close to good beach side walks West Kirby a short bus ride away with nice coffee shops and beach. Hotel has 6 rooms the ones I have stayed in have been large, clean and have very comfortable beds. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Food at the upper end of Pub Grub. Hoylake is quirky with some good bars and restaurants Only slight quibble - If you arrive 20 minutes before the time of 2pm which is check in time, and your room is ready, why do you have to wait to 2pm to get in. Will certainly return."

"Lovely restaurant and bar food. Bedrooms were well equipped with all commodities and refreshments. Would 100% stay again and a very reasonable price which included a lovely cooked full English breakfast/cereals and alternatives. Lovely location and car parking too. Started over as we were attending a funeral the day after and had a nice evening meal with my brother and his wife. They accommodated them no problem even though we had only booked for two. The pub/restaurant was very busy which we could understand when we ate the lovely fayre."

"Great place to stay for a small group or family - right in the middle of town and a very short walk to the beach. No parking but there’s a loading bay out front for packing and unpacking, and easy parking just a 2min walk towards the beach. Lovely rooftop patio area for eating outside and everything you’d need for prepping a meal is in the kitchen. We’ll be back!!"

"The apartment was more than welcome expected. The kitchen contained plenty of extra supplies in the cupboards to use , oil condiments, kitchen roll cling film etc.The owner kindly left organic milk and organic fresh ground coffee for us too. Prosecco was also in the fridge although we didn't partake in that. The bed was really comfortable and the additional luxurious toiletries was also an added bonus!The location was perfect! Cafes, restaurants, shops, the marina Wirral Way !!! Thank you for a fabulous stay."
