Second time at this hotel and really enjoyed. It has a great location surrounded by beautiful lush trees and a super pool area with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. Bed and breakfast is all you need as there are many excellent restaurants no more than 15 minutes enjoyable walk away that are very reasonable priced. I can see a third trip very soon!

Very helpful reception staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Lots to do with children. Having a car for a couple of days would be useful, if you want to explore more, otherwise difficult to get from town to town. Rovinj is stunning. Boat to island very reliable and scenery around hotel Istra beautiful. Food cooked fresh.

A superb hotel for the perfect summer holiday
Everyone from pool boys to waiters to hotel manager were so courteous, and polite, nothing was too much trouble.
It was such a relaxing time in a truly fabulous place.
As a result we have booked for next year, something I have NEVER done before.
"Affordable with nice amenities; weekdays are best."
The hotel and restaurant staff are contracted and not necessarily customer-oriented. Difficulty with language at check-in was also a minor barrier as they appeared unsure of how to handle Expedia bookings, specifically. However, the amenities are nice and it's a very affordable location next to a great town. Water sports galore are available as well as camping and traditional lodging in nice, clean apartments and rooms. The saltwater pool and sunbathing area were magnificent and loads of fun, although there is a small rental fee for the chairs. The on-site restaurant appeared to change service options based upon the number of guests on site at any given day, so weekday visits are the best.

Rovinj is beautiful and I could not be happier with the hotel we chose. Away from the bustle of the touristy crowd. Exceptional service:
- staff organised a tour to a brewery I had found out about (couldn't end up going but they went to the effort of putting together an itinerary when I inquired about it)
- staff organised to open the breakfast kitchen early for us as we had a very early bus to catch
- staff at the bar went and rounded up a couple of extra beers for me after the bar was closed one night

The hotel is lovely. We had a terrace overlooking the water. The grounds are natural with sea gulls and pines. There is no air conditioning, but we never missed it during a stay of sunny days. We enjoyed fine breakfasts but chose not to dine at the hotel restaurant.
We would return.
Super reception upon arrival. Best location if you are looking for simple pension style room. Lacking shampoo, no control for air conditioner which meant window had to be open, but then bar patrons noise went on until 5 AM, and only one coffee pouch for two guests. I think it is just lack of attention to detail.
A warm welcome followed by an extremely comfortable stay. Easy walking distance to town and variety of bars and restaurants. Staff ensured our very early morning departure was as pain-free as possible, providing hot drinks and offering a lunch pack. Hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. The only thing missing (for a Brit) was a kettle in the room.
Often considered Istria’s prettiest town, Rovinj was originally an island, which was fortified and joined to the mainland in the Middle Ages. Pastel-coloured Venetian-style buildings line the fishing harbour, overlooked by the hilltop Church of St Euphemia. Chic waterside bars serve cocktails while eateries dish up seafood and the region’s delicacy, truffles. South along the coast, Zlatni Rat offers pinewoods and secluded coves for bathing.
