Nice weekend hotel for golf weekend.

Posted 23-Nov-2015
My room was clean & tidy, but a little dated. The bed was very comfortable, just like on a previous trip here in a different room. I had the addition of a spa pool in an enclosed private courtyard. The amenities include an outdoor hot pool, mini golf & breakfast restaurant. Plenty of parking, friendly & helpful staff who had my booking at hand when I arrived.

Didn't like service at reception

Posted 21-Nov-2015
Booked a room that had the option to pay on check out, only to have the reception staff make me fell uncomfortable by asking to pay as soon as possible, as if to say I wasn't going to pay. I explained I would get paid that night and would pay the next day. Also booked a room with jetted spa and got a room with none only for the receptionist to say they have no rooms with spas and arranged for us another hotel to stay at. I will not recommend this place to anyone I know

Looked nice in pics but...... .

Posted 10-Nov-2015
Facility was very old and dated, half the things in the room didn't work. Got a room with hot tub and it didn't work at all. Lights were broken and hanging from wires. Overall the entire place needed a major update especially for the price they were charging ......

Depressingly decrepit but perfectly adequate

Posted 28-Oct-2015
The towels are threadbare, the wallpaper is peeling, the signs are faded to the point of illegibility, the roof tiles are broken, the decor is so dated it's almost back in fashion - the place is extremely shabby inside and out. But the staff are friendly, the location is good, the concrete walls meant it was quiet, and the beds were comfortable.

Average hotel but reflected in price

Posted 06-Oct-2015
Pros: Facilities good for children
Cons: Need some money spent on upgrading rooms
This hotel was just ok. Room was very tired and in need of refurbishment. The kids loved the playground and mini golf. I had read bad reviews and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. Room was clean and tidy but just looked old and tired. The lower price did reflect the standard.

Grotty motel lacking the facilities it claims

Posted 27-Sep-2015
Pros: Very little if anything
Cons: Just about everything. they really need to start from scratch
We booked a 2 night stay (4people) so that we could take our two grandchildren to see the sights of Rotorua. We chose Silveroaks only because it offered breakfast and a restaurant which would save us time and a lot mucking around. Our booking was accepted and charged with booking for breakfast each day. The booking expressly stated 1 double and 2 single beds When we arrived we were allocated a unit with 1 double and one single bed. After pointing out the problem we were moved to a bigger unit which had immediate issues: -the fridge didnt work -there was no kettle -there was no TV remote -7 light bulbs were either missing or dead -there was no dish cloth or pot scrub When we sought to make arrangements for the breakfasts we had ordered and paid for we were told that there was no restaurant or breakfast available. Initially we were told that breakfast would be arranged for the second day but then this promise was withdrawn. All the manager could offer was to say that we would be "generously compensated". Consequently we had to go out and shop for breakfast supplies which we then had to store in our non-functioning fridge. I note that all advertising material still refers to the "Bar and restaurant", which probably is a bit "misleading and deceptive" in the words of the Contractual Remedies Act. We told the manager who gave us his kettle and said he would swap the fridge. None of the other issues were fixed in the 2 days we were there. As time went on oth

Pros: not a lot.
Cons: More information with relevant facts when advertised.
Location: Location situated aprox 2 kl from town centre. Not a huge problem as most tour buses will pick you up. Rotoura is a place of many things to see.
We were given a room that had electrical problems. Then moved to another room that wasn't set up for guests ( no towels ect). We had a 3 night stay booked and the room wasn't cleaned ( towels again). Meals advertised as available at restaurant, but it was only opened for functions that are pre booked. What is it about no Toasters in accommodation. Not everybody wants to eat breakfast at a cafe every morning unless your loaded with money. They supply a fridge how about a toaster. Phone line to office not connected even when asked for it to be done. Wi-Fi given free after complaints.

Tired condition sadly

Posted 18-Sep-2015
Our impression is that it looks tired with worn out carpet, t.v. issues etc. The staff were great and the room was very clean.
