2nd time staying here. Really enjoy how quiet this motel is. Staff are very friendly and nice. The furniture is outdated but its still very comfortable. Would recommend to everyone.

Best value and perfect for large groups

Posted 20-Apr-2016
It's the 3rd time I stay at this Hotel with a big group of friends or family. We rent a big car and travel to Rotorua. The Hotel has everything we need, its spacious, its located in the same street of iSite, Maori Experience and main tourist things. Its VERY handy if you want to save money and it does not disappoint. Some things are not new, but everything works wonderfully. I recomend to anyone traveling with a group and rather spend money on tourism rather than on pretty furniture. The manager attends us promptly and always upgrade your room if they can. Friendly staff, best value, spacious, great parking. I dont think twice when traveling with 3+ people.

I would stay there again. A small fridge in the rooms would have been helpful. Hopefully the restaurant would be up and running.

Great friendly hotel

Pros: Great hotel friendly helpful staff. Great location.
Location: Thermal wonderland was amazing. Amaze me was great fun and the lion park was fantastic.
We had a great stay at this hotel. John the hotel manager was a great help and nothing was too much of a problem for him to help with. The breakfast was simple but sufficient.we had a car so getting places was not a problem for us. The room was a great size ANC the fridge and microwave were super helpful.John helped with organising a couple of tours for us and pointed us in the right direction for places we wanted to go. I would definitely stay here again. It has a pool but we never went for a swim as there is so much to do in the area. Do yourself a favour and stay here. Loved it.

Easy location to find room was run down & dirty

Posted 26-Feb-2016 on Wotif
Pros: The location, nothing else
Cons: Service of fresh towels for all occupants, we had to share as staff only gave us 4 when there were 6 of us! No tv remote, no phone connection
Was a combination of errors and our stay was frustrated by the lack of services. Arrived to a room with stained carpet and a rusty spa and overgrown patio area, cupboard doors ajar and dont close - now towels. We go and ask the Receptionist for towels and he tells us they are in the bathroom cupboard. We go back to the room to double check and there are none, so rather than walk back to Reception we try to phone only the phone has no connecting cable - what a waste of space, so we go back to ask for towels & he then proceeds to try and find us towels - had to check that these were even provided but no compendium and no tv remote, asked for a remote he told us that he had managed hotels all around the world but could not give us a remote but could come and change the channel to one we wanted using his master remote - so no remote, no towels, no plug for the spa - he couldnt give us one of these either so we used the kitchen one do not stay here is faulty towers to the extreme!

ok hotel but needed some attention

Posted 23-Feb-2016 on Wotif
Pros: Easy access to city , and a good pool (but not heated)
Cons: Décor ,general maintenance
Location: not far from Rotorua city itself and lots of activities to do near there and only 10 mins to all the adrenalin activities
The room that we stayed in was ok but needed some updating there were some issues with the bathroom and the tv wasn't working properly and the décor is still very 90's ,and around the spa area needed a good clean, the spa itself was vey clean though. Easy access to the city and was fine for one night but wouldn't have wanted to stay for longer.
