"Typical Swiss hotel; clean friendly and efficient. Parking charges unexpectedly high, normally you pay nothing, but a special shout out for the sommelier in the restaurant who went out of his way to make the dinner memorable. Would happily stay there again. K"

"My stay at the Grand Hotel Villa Castagnola Lugano was one of the best Hotel experiences I have ever had. My room was exquisite especially my gorgeous balcony with fabulous views of Lake Lugano. The surrounding gardens were so manicured and breathtaking! I stayed at Castagnola for 5 nights and my daily breakfast was a treat to look forward to. I also found the convenience of the Hotel to the city centre a bonus as I could easily walk this each day. Being a woman travelling solo I could not have been made to feel more welcome by the friendly and professional team at Villa Castagnola. I highly recommend this Hotel! "

Could not find fault with the room or service and the free tea,coffee,cake, croissants in reception was very nice although personally I missed having a kettle in the room.
