Stayed for one night and found it very convenient and comfortable.
Right in the middle of town close to shops and other amenities.
No car park. I phone the hotel and a very helpful member of staff gave me detailed directions to the closes car park which is behind the hotel and free on Sundays and after 4pm on Sat
if your child is 6 years or older you really need 2 days to do paulton's park justice (it is not just peppa pig land) and this inn is the perfect location to base yourself. the staff are wonderful. the location is great. my daughter loved the fact that you could eat breakfast (included in cost of accommodation) on site and then head out to paultons park from the inn.

Very nicely appointed hotel, visited overnight with grandchildren. Friendly and efficient staff, very nicely furnished rooms with all the usual facilities. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the attractive dining room, altogether a very nice albeit short stay, would definitely recommend for anyone wanting a central base to enjoy the New Forest
I was pleased to find the Mill after a very long ,wet day . Parts of the hotel felt quite chilly, and it was very quiet . However, a nice , basic room ,but clean enough and comfortable enough . Good staff all very pleasant and obliging . I ate in the restaurant , a very nice steak and chips , and a decent desert .
Lovely hotel, been here 3 times with work. Last time I stayed the Internet wasn't working in my room and it took them almost an hour and a half to come to the conclusion to move me to another room but by then it was a little late in the evening which resulted in me getting no work done at all. The phone reception is absolutely dyer so if you need the Internet/phone for work in the evenings then this unfortunately isn't the place for you. Lovely area and great staff though, will be stopping again in a few weeks! Oh one more thing, the rooms get a little cold in the night so take a hoodie or jumper to wear..
Much more than a comfortable and welcoming place to stay, The Potters Heron is also a destination for good food, at any time …More
A very nice inn room was very comfortable the only downside of note is that with the inn adjacent to the busy A36 it was quite noisy in the rooms at the front of the inn but other than that was a terrific place to stay food and drink excellent and the staff were great would definitely recommend to friends and is close to all areas of the New Forest.
