Property did not meet expectations. Spa was very poor and not available for our stay as only one room allowed in at once - the spa itself was basic. Poor sound insulation from road outside in room and staff smoking openly on the premises which is a real turn off. Probably wouldn’t recommend or return.

Really enjoyed our 4 night stay at Leon’s Place. It had been recommended to us by relations who had stayed there in November last year and they were spot on. The location was good for us, as we didn’t mind walking to all of the attractions within the city. Those who don’t like walking quite so much might be better choosing something a little more central. The breakfast, particularly the continental selection, was really good, with everything having a home made touch about it. The choice of 9 different fruit juices was the most we’d ever experienced. On a return trip to Rome, we’d look no further.

The hotel itself is to a high standard. We loved our stay there and felt the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel is beautiful & the spa access made it even better. The only few issues we had was that the air conditioning did not work very well. Although it was turned on, it didn’t really give out much cool air at all. Our room also looked smaller than the images provided on the website. We only had a small window on the roof, when it rained it was very loud that I found it very hard to sleep, even with the windows closed. Aside from this, everything was perfect and definitely would recommend.

Perfect Hotel with Amazing Staff
The wife and myself decided to have a 5 day break for new years in Rome and this was a perfect Hotel for it, all staff were beyond amazing, hotel well appointed, private access to Gym and Spa and good location.

Spent 3 nights here, and when we asked them to clean our room, they just folded up the same dirty towels and put them back in our bathroom even though we put them in the sink as we were told. We also asked for new sheets and that also didn’t happen. Upon checkout we mentioned that we got 2 drinks at the bar downstairs that should’ve been included as the VIP perk, but they told us we had to use our drink vouchers that we didn’t even receive at check-in, so the drinks were charged to our card. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, it looks very pretty but you will not receive good service/cleanliness here.

Couples stay in Rome!
We stayed here for our first trip to Rome. Positives: clean, good service, location, good sized room, brilliant air con. When asking for a late check out they were able to accommodate to 4pm due to our late flight, this was great as due to the temperatures it meant we could go back get changed and showered before heading to the airport. This was done free of charge! Negative: breakfast - we were disappointed with this and on the third day ended up eating out. Good food choice, but hot food was cold and tasteless.

Property itself was fine, decor gave character but the bed was uncomfortable and pillows were like sleeping on cardboard. Issues with the shower controls on the first day (which seemed to have been fixed by the second day after we made staff aware). No details on how to call reception for help, in fact no details on numbers to call for anything e.g concierge or room service..just a number for WhatsApp which isn’t instantly replied to. Staff don’t proactively offer help e.g. we were looking for somewhere for our first anniversary dinner. I asked at reception for recommendations and they gave me the name of only one restaurant…didn’t offer to call and enquire or anything so I had to check myself online. That restaurant had no availability for a week. I then found another place online with amazing views but it was only worth the price if you could get a table on the balcony. I asked the hotel if they could call and make the special table request for me and the immediate response was “can’t you just book on their website and leave a note”. They did then ask whether we drank alcohol, and I assumed this was because they wanted to do something nice for our anniversary, but then nothing came of it. The hotel is a little out of the way, nothing really within 10-15min walking distance other than villa borghese. We got taxis to most places e.g. trevi fountain was around a 7min taxi ride and cost around €11. On the whole the hotel was fine, service could be improved.

We were not able to use the steam sunna or the jakozi because it was very uncomfortable due to cold water . We informed the hotel but they first said we will take a look at it fix it but later they said steam doesn’t work and the temperature of jackizi is not going to be more. At the end a nice lady at least accommodate our concern and had acceptance and honestly to admit we were right about the facility. Jordan was very nice and polit too.

The hotel was more style over substance and completely lacking in atmosphere. Bedroom storage was poor and during our stay there were noisy building works next door which disturbed our rest (we had asked for a well appointed quiet room as it was a special occasion but our room Was neither well appointed or quiet). There was also a distinct lack of staff in the public areas which meant that the front desk has to ring someone to come to the bar to make a coffee for us. It was the same when going to the bar for an evening drink. This is not the level of service I would expect from a 4 star hotel. Sadly disappointing

Curate’s egg - good in parts.
The first staff wee encountered were friendly and helpful. We left out luggage but didn’t see our room as it wasn’t ready. No problem we were early. On returning the staff member was helpful. We checked in and went to our room which was awful. It was dark and pokey. (An internal room). I was so depressing- no outlook or light coming in. We asked for another room to be told the was the room we had requested - not true - and also it was one of their best rooms. (???) the staff member said there was no other room and there might be one tomorrow. Another member of staff had a quiet word and suddenly a room was indeed available. This room was better. Saving grace - the bed was great in this room. Huge and comfortable. Great breakfast- lots of choice. I wouldn’t go back there but there were good points.

Was in financial district, and not in City Center, so noise was not an issue. Location was totally accessible to all dining options and tourist spots, either by walking or taxi. Excellent value!

Matilde at the front desk was so helpful! Everyone working there gave great suggestions on where to get gelato etc. we had one issue with our room and they fixed it immediately. Loved the patios out back. The elevators were TINY! Impossible with luggage

The reception staff was amazing. The house keeping service wasn’t great. Items were constantly not replaced and you would have to request them. The bed was firm which is the norm for Europe and the pillows were very flat. Other than that the rooms were spacious and had all the amenities you would expect. The hotel is in a nice neighbourhood outside central Rome with lots of restaurants and was a quick walk to two metro lines.
