Hotel was being renovated and one of the workers had to call a receptionist to come and check us in; we had to wait for 40-50 minutes for an English speaking receptionist to come and check us in; we were not respected and valued; two of the receptionists were insisting we don't have breakfast included in the price, and the third receptionist that came finally told us we have breakfast included. The bartender and other receptionists were chasing us to tell us we didn't have breakfast included when we did have it?!?!! Breakfast was not good enough anyways for me personally and my boyfriend had a bit of it but didn't even like it. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND TOO HIGH PRICE

Everyday I had to ask them to turn air conditioning down. They control it from the front desk.i ask them and they say ok. 30 min later i call and tell them im going to literally be ill if they dont turn on the air. Not good for a hotel. It takes 3 hours to cool the room down. Cant open windows because people are walking by and no screens on windows. Open to people. Very unhappy. Location is to far away from sites. If u use metro or train 3 blocks away. Taxi is only option.

Room
I booked a family room but when We got there we were given a double room with 4 single beds, no space between the beds. 1 bed was broken. Toilet seat was broken, water drainage was very slow (basin over flowing) Walls were very dirty with dark marks everywhere, it looked like the walls haven’t been painted for years.

Would not recommend
Booked through hotels.com app and received confirmation number with receipt showing paid. When we arrived at the hotel they informed us that they had a problem and didn’t have a room for us. But they said that they had a different property where they would take us. That property had some very kind staff but it was a very old building with the hotel on the 7th floor in a very rough looking neighborhood.

NO WAY A 3 STAR RATING MAYBE 1!!!!!
should not have 3 star rating. Was put in an a attic room. No tea/coffee making facilities. Shower area very small. Roof leaked onto luggage. Too hot in room , was told reception had to control temperature so asked them to turn it down it went off completely!and it was then freezing in the room. Basic continental breakfast ok.

You can buy wine etc.and some snacks at the hotel, handy. Room was OK, beds comfi, shower poor.i would recommend if you want to stay somewhere cheap:)

Our time in Rome was brilliant. Unfortunately we are disappointed about the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. No complain about them at all. But condition of our room wasn't good enough. No phone, air con doesn't work (looks like sometimes turn on remotely), poor housekeeping, room has to be refurbished/redecorated.

Need more cleanliness and should be more attention for providing the bathroom stuff as one day I was not having extra toilet paper and during my stay I had some allergy or something bite on my eye so my eye was swelled, may be it’s because there was no change of bed sheets for 4 days. Besides all In total my stay was good. Thanks

Appalling
On arrival we were told there was no hot water and that they had booked us into the hotel next door for 1 night (that hotel was friendly), very unfriendly and perfunctory receptionist. We returned the next day to an equally abrupt reception and a requirement to pay the city tax (normally paid on departure) before w got our keys. Room was basic and clean BUT very noisy both outside and inside. Windows would not close properly and it was cold, heat was controlled from reception. On top of this I bought a bottle of wine that was €8, it was corked, when I returned it to the reception I was told she had to ring her manager, didn't understand the term cooked despite a translation on the phone and said she didn't drink. Next day the day shift guy said he would speak to the manager and didn't understand because he didn't drink (they sold 10 types of red wine the way). Got back that evening, new guy, he didn't understand because he didn't drink.....but he did ring the manager! who refused the refund so I kicked off until he paid me back. I think that reflects this hotel. Book the one next door, it's family run and very friendly, we drank in their before our evening meal with Fabio, great guy.

Rough area hotel was not what it was like in the p
Hotel staff were very nice. Thats about all that was good about it all. We weren't in the hotel that I booked we was sent to hotel center 3 which was rubbish! There was no warmth feeling in the room and the floor was stone cold as no carpets. The beds were spring pull out beds with like 1cm thick mattresses. I didnt sleep at all my entire stay. The shower was nice but the toilet was dirty. The pillows were hard and uncomfortable so we had to go to a nearby shop to get some more. Also I didn't like the fact that the staff went home at 23:00 and leave the guests there on their own until 07:30 with no means of contact if anything goes wrong. Was A Terrible Holiday And We Would Not Stay There Again Sorry !

Relatively comfortable hotel, basic, shower and bed was all we needed as we were more concerned with visiting Rome than the hotel! Staff great very friendly! Towels and bed linings changed daily! Only thirty minutes walk from colosseum (we walk fast though) metro, tram, bus and train line all very close by! It's great for a cheap stay and offers adequate sleeping and bathing conditions. Street walking during day and night was safe, no one bothered us don't be put off by the graffiti outside, it's just street art 🙂

Nice hotel in Rome
Pros: + very friendly staff (speak English/Italian) + clean + relatively close to city center + air conditioning in rooms + TV (Italian) + bathroom with some soap, towels, hair dryer + good price/satisfaction ratio Cons: + refrigerator didn't work (although I was offered to put my stuff in staff members' fridge) + sometimes loud in the morning (you can have earplugs) + about 3 km and more to some attractions (not that far, but in such a heat it is quite a journey; you can get on a bus/tram)

Not too shabby
This hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the Termini train station and maybe 10 minutes or so from the Manzoni metro on the A line which will get you to all the tourist spots in Rome. The Colosseum is about a 25-30 minute walk from the hotel. Overall the hotel is pretty good for the price, the staff were friendly and spoke English, appreciated me trying my best to speak Italian too. The room we had was labeled a king bed though it was really two twins/fulls pushed together, but sufficient. Bathroom was surprisingly large for Europe, you could fully extend your arms out in the shower. Breakfast (included) was on the top floor with a nice view looking west towards the center of Rome and the croissants were tasty. The surrounding neighborhood was a little shady being near the train tracks but it seemed most of the people walking around were fellow tourists or locals going to Termini anyway so I didn't feel in danger (I'm a guy). A couple good restaurants are about a 5 minute walk away which was convenient the first day we got there. Overall the hotel fit our needs: a place to simply fall asleep and get free breakfast while being relatively close to public transportation. If I went to Rome again I'd probably stay here given how pricey hotels can get to be just a bit closer to all the hustle and bustle.

Disappointed
The air conditioning unit in our room was broken with apparently no hope of repair. As the temperatures outside were between 30 to 35 all week the room was an oven. Only a pitiful little fan was provided as a recompense! The doors of the shower unit fell off every time you used the shower. The curtains could not be opened as the pull cord snapped. The mini-bar (ha!) was not particularly cold. Breakfast was adequate but not particularly varied. The staff were OK but didn't necessarily go out of their way to be helpful.

Worst Hotel in Rome
We booked this hotel about 2 months in advance through Expeida. The description of the hotel claimed this hotel was "minutes from the Spanish Steps", that they provided complimentary wifi in all rooms, that they had an airport shuttle, and that were the upmost accommodation in Rome. All of these couldn't be farther from the truth. When we arrived via a 60€ taxi ride thanks to no shuttle, we found ourselves in the dumps of Rome. We checked in and then asked for access for the wifi, only to find out it was 5€ for a continuous 3 hours. Again, faulty advertising. We then went to our room only to notice our bathroom was flooded. The staff, who's manger was nowhere to be found, acted as if bathroom flooding was normal and they would send someone the following day. We then found out that when we were departing the hotel, we must turn in our key to the front desk, allowing them access to our belongings (also, there was no safe in the room, as the website claimed there was). We quickly departed this hotel, vowing to never return and spread the word to beware and stay away. Consider yourselves warned.

Hotel is ok if main purpose is rest at night.
We had the opportunity to stay twice in a period of 12 days. Our first stay was from 5/24 to 5/26. The hotel has 3 buildings along the via Giovanni Giolitti, same street where Rome Termini is. We walked from the Termini to the hotel and it is a 15 minute walk which I didn't mind much since the weather was cool in the mid 60's. Maybe doing it in the middle of the summer might be a little tougher. The staff was very nice. We are from Puerto Rico and fluent in English but it was nice that many of the front desk staff spoke Spanish and English. The room that was assigned to us was in the 4th floor, it was excellent. We were a party of 4 adults. We were comfortable and the room had plenty of electrical outlets to plug our voltage converters to charge all our electrical gadgets. The bathroom was big and very clean although the shower was small per American standards, but no big deal. The room even had an L shaped balcony with nice view of the neighborhood. Breakfast had eggs but one it is finished, it is not replaced so it becomes a continental breakfast. On our second stay which was for only one night, we were assigned another room in the first floor. Although bigger than the room on our first stay, this one was noisy, you can hear everything from the hall, the shower had mold and there was only 2 electrical outlets that we could not use because our voltage converters would not fit, a complete difference from our first room we had.

Good hotel for economy stay in Rome centre
We received a really pleasant welcome by the member of staff on reception. This was typical of all staff members, including cleaners and those serving breakfast. Registration was smooth and well explained. Our twin room was adequate in size and certainly OK in terms of storage space for a week's holiday. Another chair would have been nice, but basically it was a comfortable place to stay over-night and crash out for the occasional lazy late afternoon after a day walking around the city. We were there in spring which is probably the best time in terms of room comfort - not cold enough to need the heating, not warm enough for air conditioning. I can imagine the sound of the heater/A-C could be annoying if trying to sleep in the room. The bathroom was our only problem. It looked a bit tired, with crazed shower tray (although the shower itself worked fine). The lack of real ventilation meant it had quite a damp feel to it - the tiles on floor and walls took a long time to dry after we used the shower, and there was a slightly mouldy smell in the room. Classic moment was the arrival of a slug climbing the condensation-wet wall one evening! Overall though this was bearable if you want a relatively cheap hotel with good city centre location. Breakfasts were filling; the surrounding area seem safe enough during the day, though by choice we did not go out after dark.

Avoid...AVOID!
Our room door was left unlocked and open by the cleaners after they had finished. No do not disturb signs for the door...consequently woken twice by the cleaners entering our room. Wet floors with no wet floor signs, causing me to skid into the wall. No kettle for tea making facilities. Deposit needed for the TV remote! Felt like the hotel was trying to fleece us every chance they got. In a very ropey area of Rome. Shower base cracked and dirty. "Double" bed was 2 singles pushed together that kept moving during the night.

We started off rocky with not enough beds in our room, but the management fixed the situation and sent wine up to apologize. The breakfast was fabulous, would rate tops for a European stay. Hotel service must improve
On arrival it took the receptionist about an hour to check in 6 people. The number of beds in the rooms was wrong, regardless of previous requests. The receptionist did not speak English, no Italian (in Italy?) and we had to draw pictures on a piece of paper to explain to him what to do! Simply unacceptable! Apart from that, the rooms were clean and tidy and the location was good.

Nothing was right. To get ice you had to walk outside two blocks to another building and they had no containers larger than a standard plastic cup. Elevator worked on occasion, not on others. Everything was as described on their website. The room was spartan but clean, as was the bathroom. There was good water pressure too.
