Incredible Views, Waterfront Luxury Private Villa with Central AC
10/10 Excellent
"We stayed at Coral Beach Villa for a month. We chose the island because of its snorkeling. This was a working vacation so internet was important. First off, the hosts were amazing, greeting us at the airport since they happened to be in Cayman Brac. Since there was a glitch with our car rental, Gino drove us to go food shopping, while Joy took our luggage to the rental. The next day Joy & Gino drove me around the small island pointing out various snorkeling locations, restaurants, grocery stores. and points of interest. Talk about 5 star concierge service. We were lucky they just happened to be on the island. But it does show what type of hosts they are. The property and house were as described. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything one needs- good cooking implements and equipment. The convenience of a house landline phone made it easy to reach restaurants to make reservations. For snorkelers: we snorkeled 5 locations on the north side of the island - reached by car. They all had easy water access either by a ladder or in 1 case a boat ramp which for us- in our late 70's was important. We saw lots of fish & even a sea turtle. One thing to note: when the winds are high and the waves are 3' or higher, snorkeling is not possible, but there are caves to explore, shore walks on rocky beaches, trails to hike and other activity options. We enjoyed meals at The Farm, The Beach Club and Cayman Brac Beach Resort for their Friday nite barbeque. We had a great 4 weeks!"
"Lovely and wonderful house provided relaxing getaway for a couple. Caretaker met us at airport and lead us to house was very helpful as we landed after sunset and house is off a side road. Well stocked kitchen. Comfortable bed. Plenty of linens. Very clean. Washer dryer is a plus. Excellent WiFi. Limited cable made us focus on the marvellous setting and surroundings. Relaxed in the lounge chairs in front of house daily. Beach consists of rocks making water entry challenging but reward is marine life after snorkelling out to mooring bouy. We intend to stay again in future. "
"I work 14hr days, host was a bit demanding during initial interaction expecting a call at the end of my shift when we were about a month out from our trip. We had to meet to check in vs the typical keypad entry. Lots of bugs inside home. AC didn’t distribute evenly, upstairs was very hot when downstairs was freezing. Location was good, quiet neighborhood. Private beach was a plus."
"We have passed by Salt Rocks Villa on many occasions while diving bloody Bay Wall and decided to give it a try. We were very pleased. The house views are spectacular from both within the home and on the back deck. We were fortunate to take in the view on both very windy rough days with waves crashing into the rocks below the home, to serene dead calm days with no wave action at all.As Stephen, the host, correctly points out, the path to the ocean is treacherous due to storms that have damaged part of the walkway. While on very calm days it is possible to enter and exit Bloody Bay using the path, it is not advisable. The cleanliness of the home was immaculate and the decoration with the ocean theme was as good as it gets. I would be advised that while the home does have 3 bedrooms, 1 is a loft with a queen bed and bunk beds. It overlooks the living room and does not have the privacy of the other 2 lovely bedrooms. Since there were only 2 of us we didn't care but others might. We have stayed at numerous properties on Little Cayman and enjoyed the Salt Rocks Villa (known by locals as the Splash House) immensely. It is definitely a great place to stay."

"Best getaway of my life. The snorkeling out front (and half a mile up the road) was amazing! Beautiful space, great neighbors. Amazing A/C and comfy beds."
"Amazing views & beautiful beach; exactly what you need for some healing R&R. Note that the property states it has a grill & telephone; it does not have either of these."
"beautiful view. the home was very clean and had all the needed amenities. the beds were very comfortable, lots of towels, snorkel gear on site, and other helpful amenities for our stay. Derwin. the property manager was very helpful. we appreciated the prestocked fridge option that was available. we had a slight hick up when our fridge stopped cooling during our stay however derwin was prompt to get it fixed the same day. the stay was great and we would choose this property again if we visit cayman brac again. The best area to stay in Rock, Cayman Brac, is typically along the northern coast, particularly around the main settlements of Stake Bay and West End.
This stretch of coastline offers convenient access to the island's primary amenities and attractions. You'll find the majority of the island's accommodation options here, ranging from small hotels to holiday rentals, often with direct access to the sea. The main road, parallel to the coast, connects these areas, making it easy to get around.
For couples seeking a relaxing getaway, the West End offers a good selection of more secluded properties, often with private beach access. It's also home to some excellent dining options and is a short drive from popular diving and snorkelling spots like the MV Keith Tibbetts wreck.
Families will find Stake Bay a practical choice. It's the administrative centre of Cayman Brac and has a more local feel, with amenities like grocery shops and the island's museum.
When is the best time to go to Rock?
The best time to visit Rock, Cayman Brac, is during the dry season, which runs from December to April.
During these months, you'll experience consistently sunny days with comfortable temperatures, typically ranging from 24°C to 29°C. This period offers the most pleasant weather for outdoor activities like hiking along the Bluff, exploring caves, or enjoying the island's many beaches. The lower humidity also makes for a more enjoyable experience overall.
For those planning diving or snorkelling trips, the excellent visibility during the dry season is a significant advantage. The calm seas and clear waters make it easier to explore the vibrant coral reefs and shipwrecks around the island, ensuring a top-quality underwater experience.
While the shoulder months of May and November can also be pleasant with fewer crowds, they do carry a slightly higher chance of rain.
