Never will I stay here again please read carefully if your traveling with kids. 1st of all this resort coba does not offer room service nor are you able to get food from the snack bar and eat by the pool. The rooms are a bit out dated. I guess you get what you pay far but we will not return. I find it to be so inconvenient for them to not offer room service. Note there is no elevators either so we had to go up and 3 flights of stairs. Barely in plugs in room to charge electronics the tv in our room was also extremely small. Also if you are looking at doing activities don’t stay here transportation is extremely expensive just from coba to Xel-Há we paid $200 for a family of 8ppl

My family of 5 spent Easter break at Bahia Coba. It was our 3rd time in Mexico, but first at a Bahia property. Pros Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, strong AC, great variety at the buffet, multiple pools, and good bar staff. We head an early flight and arrived at 8am. We had immediate access to the resort and our rooms were ready by 10am. Very appreciated Cons A la cartes are booked 10 days prior to arrival. You need to download their app to make selections. The app is horrendous!! There isn’t really a quiet area of the resort. Pools are named “ party” and “quiet” but the quiet pool has people blasting music on portable speakers and entertainment staff are constantly talking on a microphone. Not enough lounge chairs around the pools.

I absolutely loved this property and it was a great value! Every once in a while the staff was not fawning and drooling over us- like when the front desk girl made a face showing disbelief when I told her we were never given a card for towels. There was a chemical smell in the room, particularly the bathroom- it smelled toxic. There was a broken tile near the seam of the tub. HOWEVER, the room was so CLEAN and nice. The VALUE for this property is outstanding. Rooms are kind of like Hampton Inn. My daughter was THRILLED with the buffet, I was not thrilled, but really really liked it. Entertainment was top notch. Grounds were awesome. Beach was great but coral is washed out- still tons of tropical fish. I have never been to an all-inclusive before, and tend to take more culturally immersive vacations- but boy oh boy- we had an absolute blast. It was a true VACATION.

Pools are only 2 ft deep , kids in the adult pool not enforced never seen that before and pretty sure a bartender drugged me i had 1 drink and was passing out . No chairs available and they dont inforce the no holds rules . The food was ok, not great , You can only go to 2 restaurants per stay . Really busy place basically its a big kids park . On the plus side they did remember my birthday and had a bottle of champagne for our honeymoon. . Service was good over all but beach was far away and not great and pool are way to shallow with no chairs to use . If they enfored a few rules it would be a much better experience.

We had a terrible time getting any help or customer service at this hotel. The staff are really unhelpful, especially at check in. It’s a large confusing complex which you have to work out yourself with a map on your phone. There is a train buggy service which has different routes which is also really confusing. We only took it once to the beach and back. The beach is quite small and the sand is really sharp and rocky and the seabed is basically a rock pool and you can get injured really easily in the water. Apart from the breakfast buffet the food is really mediocre. The water park for children is the best thing about the hotel but there’s no where near enough sun beds for the number of people staying at all.

I liked the pool areas. My boys really enjoyed the teen club. The bars were decent. The beach was nice. The restaurants were nice as well. Didn’t like the buffet. The food was mediocre on the Buffet. The room had small bugs. Check in was okay. Could have been better. The girl didn’t explain anything. Didn’t give me towel cards or wifi info had to keep coming back to the front for things she missed. Received a small bottle of tequila for VIP. The hostess and waitresses were a bit rude and not personable. The first day was a bell. Thought it was racist and bias. They cater to Caucasians a bit more so I felt a little out of place. It did get better and I met some nicer people on the property. The bartenders were nice. The housekeeper was also pleasant. Overall it was a good stay. Transportation to and from the airport was private and we liked it. It did take a little over an hour to get to and from.

Property was subpar. Railing falling off the balcony with was next to what seemed to be a water treatment area, so it smelt of sewage the whole trip. TV’s didn’t work, lots of ants in our room. Turned out it also wasn’t “all inclusive” we had to pay extra for wine etc. They didn’t stock the room refrigerator. $20 USD for a bag of chips. Will be trying a different resort.

Love the resort! Only small issue is booking restaurants on-line. The option of adding rooms to the reservation wouldn’t work, so families were sitting at different tables. Also the more popular restaurants are fully booked for the week, even if you check in early on-line.

My husband booked this resort and at first I was skeptical as we have never stayed at a Bahia Principe Resort. The Grand Coba exceeded our expectations. From check-in to check-out, everything at this resort is done efficiently and smoothly. Considering we stayed during Spring Break and the resort is at its peak busy season, the staff were always friendly and courteous. There was always something to do everyday. Even if you plan to lounge at the pool, you will not be bored as the entertainment crewq lead by Eder do an amazing job entertaining and engaging guests. The food selection at the buffet was amazing. The only suggestion I have is to be more transparent about the options at check in time. We had to wait 5 hours to check in and the only thing offered to us was the quiet room. It was unbearably hot and it would’ve been way less frustrating if we were offered use of the pool while we waited. We could've cooled off this way and been much more comfortable waiting after not having slept from our overnight flight. Otherwise everything about the stay was awesome! Quiet clean room, easy to roam around, very clean grounds, amazing staff and accessibility

The Bahia Principe Coba was such a wonderful resort in all aspects. The resort is absolutely beautiful and it is being cleaned and maintained almost constantly. Every single staff member that we met was courteous, thoughtful, respectful, hard working and friendly. What incredible people and service! The food was great. There were lots of options for different pools. The staff were friendly and prompt. It was clean. The only complaint was that air-conditioning did not work as well as we had hoped. Our room was 25.5°C, despite having asked for the air-conditioning to be fixed.

Large clean rooms with lots of storage space. Good variety of food. Like the plentiful wildlife around the property. No bugs.large pools and variety of water activities organized. Staff were all great.

Great property. Didn't realize it wasn't at the beach but they have a decent beach access via shuttles. The Expedia VIP access to the other properties was amazing though. Tulum has a great waterpark but Coba's is nice as well.

We do love going here except for a couple of reasons. First, the fountain in the large pool doesn’t work and hasn’t for several years and when you ask them when it will be fixed they say “ probably in a week or two”. Second, the room service is crap. I ordered chocolate strawberries 3 times, once for my wife’s birthday, once for Valentine’s Day and one other time. Every time they didn’t deliver until after I had to go to the front desk and complain. That’s when they would get it delivered, late at night when you’re ready to go to sleep.

Amazing trip to Coba! Yeah its a little older and showing its age, but its mexico! It was a perfect resort for us (two adults). We just got home and im going to book it again! Will always choose coba over the other 3 because its cheaper and theres so many excursions and things to do outside the resort! Will definitely go back!

The number one reason I have this property a poor review is because of a woman named Valeria working the front desk on the morning of Monday March 4, 2024. On the third day of my stay I caught the flu. I did my best to isolate in my room , but I had to go to the front desk to cancel my a la carte restaurant reservations. Valeria was so cold and rude. She literally rolled her eyes at me. I was feeling terrible physically and emotionally and she made me feel so much worse. I went back to my room and cried after this encounter.
