The hotel was perfect.
Clean, friendly staff. They are re-imagining the hotel to Pixar Place so there is some construction. During our 6/2023 stay, the lobby and store have been remodeled. Mid-afternoon during our breaks they were testing the alarm system, but it wasn’t anything blaring. It was a loud statement that repeated for about 30-45 seconds. No restaurant but a self checkout vending store with basic drinks and snacks. Some sandwiches, fruit, oatmeal. We did use the service elevators and they weren’t that slow. There’s only 2 but they were fine. The lobby elevator is a glass elevator. Much smaller and slower.
Disney announces all major refurbishments at least a year in advance. Those that booked the hotel…through Expedia no less didn’t do their research. I suggest checking Disney’s website for all refurbishments…both parks, hotels, downtown and parking structures for whenever you plan on going.
Paradise Pier has a separate entrance directly to California Adventures.
The pool was being worked on while we were there & expected to open in a few months. Til then, guests can use Disneyland Hotel’s pool which is walking distance or they can shuttle you.
Parking is additional.
