The apartment is right in the middle of Ripon, within easy walking distance of shops, pubs and restaurants. Parking was a bonus and the accommodation was comfortable and quiet despite being right above a bar. The Ripon Hornblower appeared every single night right outside of the apartment and showed the level of civic pride displayed locally. There is lots to do in the area, and we spent a day on the coast, another on the moors and another on the Dales (as James Herriot fans, we enjoyed Grassington and Thirsk) and we also walked the length of the Ripon canal, with a picnic lunch supplied by the baker in the market square. I’d heartily recommend the black pudding sausage roll.
