The staff need to speak English as well..
I am very happy to choose this hotel for staying with my family..its so good specially the staff.The best thing of the hotel is their special breakfast , swimming pool and gym i think its the best things for summer vacations..

Quite happy with the hotel. For the cost it was excellent value and the facilities were better than expected. Dining room could do with updating but it was generally clean and tidy. Friendly and helpful staff

Breakfast was great. Staff was helpful. In the evening it was quiet. Close to some old buildings and churches. On Sunday morning, it was quiet we walked around the main square near the hotel. Close to the buses and metro and easy transport to the cruise terminal.

The hotel is old and in need of upgrades. The pictures on the site were extremely flattering. Staff were pleasant and as helpful as they could be considering the language barriers.

Not good for a single British female traveller
I was only staying for one night whilst waiting for a connection flight the next day so didn't spend enough time to review honestly. But, arriving in Rio on my own as a single female, I didn't find them particularly helpful - when I asked for the nearest place to get a beer they pointed me in the direction of some bars, when they served beer in the hotel restaurant. I didn't feel safe, and they didn't speak English, can I just say that I don't expect everyone to speak English but had no trouble 'conversing' with other Brazilians/Hotels with limited English-they didn't even want to try.

right in the center of Rio
Good location to see downtown Rio, with its museums, churches and markets. Close to bus stations to go everywhere, including on the beautiful beaches, e.g. in Copacabana, with little more than 1$ for a bus ticket. Hotel people are quit good. Breakfast was very good. The rooms were clean, although they looked somehow ancient. TV set and bathroom however were renovated. Overall it's worth staying there.

Very disappointed with the swimming pool!!!!!! The young man who helped with our luggage and finding a Taxi for us was so polite and helpful we really appreciated the care god took with us.

The hotel was fine, but for the price I expected more. Room was clean. I was only there one night so didnt see much about the area.

The room was clean; the staff was friendly. Lacked some of the typical amenities pool or gym. The breakfast was marginal and spotty internet access. The area was quite far from the beach. Be cautious in the evening times.

I checked in and checked out
The hotel was in a very unsafe part of town and you still need to take a taxi to the airport so it's not that close and the general hygiene and cleanliness was poor and the rooms had a nasty smell. Desk staff were unhelpful and gave me wrong directions which meant I was walking around a dodgy area unnecessarily. I won't go back

Desk staff not helpful! A friend tried to call me from the US and they didn not put the call through! Wifi was spotty and not worth the money. The only commendable part of the hotel was the excellent breakfast.

Rios Presidente Hotel
Overall good value for money. Friendly staff. Good location in proximity to main attractions and areas of interest. Easy access by public transportation. Extra charge for the Internet use and safe rental. The area gets a bit noisy in the morning and day time. On the contrary, it has a very low pedestrian traffic at dark. Beware of your surroundings!

Centrally located within the business district. Handy for local public transport which made travelling around the city very easy. Quietish location with plenty of amenities on hand. The place suited our needs.

Nice low-budget hotel
Even from a low-budget hotel I would've expected a cleaner room, but the hotel was OK and the staff was always friendly and willing to help. Overall, it was a good experience.

For a recent trip to the US Consulate, I was a little worried when my search showed that most of the city was sold out for my travel dates. And despite some negative comments I was pleasantly surprised to find it not at all uncomfortable, Good air conditioning unit and plentiful breakfast buffet. Close to restaurants and very close to teh Consulate. However, I do know that here are better values when there are no events in the city, Based on the price I would probably not stay there again

Good hotel for the price.
This was the second hotel we stayed in while in Rio, the first being much nicer (and more expensive). This was a good location in Centro, easy walk to metro and to catch a bus (or taxi). There were plenty of places to shop, eat and see. However, they charge you for everything - hair dryer, wifi, safe, etc. So keep that in mind when booking. The staff were very helpful (my daughter spoke Portuguese and I did not) and knew some English. Would stay there again, in an effort to save money.

I was in Rio for business, and picked Rois Presedente Hotel based on its reasonable price and proximity to the places I needed to be. All in all, I would definitely recommend you choose somewhere else. I booked a double room, but found a tiny box room with 3 single beds in. All at different heights. the walls were scuffed and marked and the bathroom was fairly clean but not well kept. The toilet roll holder was falling off the wall and the soap holder in the shower tipped your product on the floor. The staff barely spoke any English (which is fair enough) but my Portuguese wasn't good enough to successfully complain. Since I was only there for 4 nights, I lumped it - but will definitely be searching for alternative accommodation if I return. I cant understand how it has gained the 4 stars.

The hotel was in the downtown area within walking distance to all museums and historical sites. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was small by US standards but very clean. There were hardwood floors in the bedroom and a completely ceramic tile bathroom. We would return to this hotel again if we were to go to Rio.

I would rate as a two star or below. Hotel is old. Bed side lights have been removed. Only the light in center of the room. Room is smaller than Ibis at about the same price. Shower is good. Food was very good for both breakfast and diner. The fish stew was excellent. About 6 minute walk to the Carioca Metro. Getting to the Metro was safe. Streets in other directions looked a little problematic. Good local bar at corner on the square. Two theaters on the square for culture. Shopping near the Carioca. Europa restaurant on Av Chile near Carioca was good for business lunch but not much for dinner. Price was good.

Extremely clean and very nice rooms.. parking lot leaves much to be desired...
Very nice place to stay.... great location, the room has all the amenities you could expect to have from home. The elevator talks to you. It is convenient to everything. Convenience store across the street in case you forgot anything. would stay again if we had a coupon, but a great hotel for a getaway. . The staff were all great and very helpful... from the front desk, the kitchen, and the maid, right down to the security guy walking the parking lot. Prepare to walk, the parking lot is not convenient. The entrance is the main door and it is the furthest point from the parking lot... what genius thought that up?!?!?! You can not get in with your room key at the side entrance unless you have someone waiting for you. If you can avoid it, come in the off season when the parking lot is not so full. Don't purchase the breakfast package, unless you really don't want to go out....it was good, just not worth the amount forked out in the package. Didn't get to use the pool, but it was nice and clean, if I had time, I would have definitely taken a swim.

This hotel is just horrid. It is like a short- time hotel. There is even a sign behind reception advising that it's against the law for prostitution with a minor. There were stains above the headboard .... Eww The windows rattled constantly Food tray left in corridors Old and very dated rooms

There was always someone to speak English at the Reception desk, ready to help at any time of the day or night; breakfasts: plenty to eat and drink, substantial; their restaurant for dinners provided fine dishes at reasonable prices.

los servicios eran para mejorar.3dias sin luz,con grupo electrogeno con mucho ruido en la puerta, cambiando de habitación 3 veces,ya que el aire acondicionado no funcionaba en todas las habitaciones. El mwnu del desayuno no era constsnte con el stock,habia dias con mucho faltante,y una ubicacion pesima y peligrosa.

Foi a SEGUNDA vez , q fiquei nesse hotel, porem meu che kin começou 12:00hs, eu cheguei as 21:00hs,na sexta...No domingo meu voo era as 19.30 hs,pedi pra guardarem minha mala na recepçao das 12:00hs as 18:00 ,pois iria aproveitar um pouco mais o Rio, e o recepcionista me cobrou R$50,00. Eu sem opçao,paguei...mas Esse é o motivo que foi minha ULTIMA VEZ nesse hotel.

Wi-Fi nunca funciona, o café da manhã um horror, a piscina completamente TURVA. O bar da piscina não funciona em feriados. O elevador não tem nem ventilador e nem ar-condicionado. Os funcionários são educados com exceção da recepção.

청결도가 아쉬웠습니다. 위치는 지하철 역과 가까웠고 주변에 슈퍼는 찾기 힘듭니다. 카니발 기간에 묵어서 이동에 불편함이 있었습니다.

O hotel só deixou a desejar no café da manhã e na cozinha por não ter os pratos do cardápio disponíveis e taças específicas para espumante. Porém, o atendimento, cordialidade e comodidade são nota 10. Além da área de lazer que é maravilhosa!
