I recently stayed at Rihiveli the dream and there were some really great things about it that I’m sure would be appealing for some. One of the things that I really appreciated were the inclusive activities such as snorkeling, kayaking, sailing, kite surfing and wind surfing.
This is a good place to go if your desire is to be out enjoying nature without spending a lot of extra money.
This isn’t a good place to go it you are looking for the five star, (4 star, 3 star or 2 star) luxury resort experience and the amenities that come with it, like air conditioning or bugs in your room.
Some of the issues with this place could quite easily be fixed. One that really stood out was the experience of the bar. When drinks are ordered they are not made in front of you. They could also become a little more creative with the between meal snack options instead of just offering two kinds of Pringle’s or a small bag of M&M’s.
It would also serve them well and their customers to install AC in some or all of their rooms and with it the ability to keep the bugs and critters out instead of being fully open to the outside with only some wide lattice separating you from the outside elements. This would at least give the choice to the more rustic customers to turn the AC off and open doors and windows if they prefer that experience.
This resort has been around for 36 years and it really shows, it doesn’t appear that anything has been updated along the way.
