"Clean, comfortable room with safe. Nice view from balcony. Excellent breakfast, lots of choices and plenty of everything. Super helpful and friendly staff. Our flight was cancelled and we had to book an extra day and they gave us a breakfast box as we had to leave early. Airport bus stop nearby and area has plenty of dining and bar options. About 25 min walk to centre of Funchal."

"Hotel was very nice. We had a great corner room with large opening windows so felt as though we were outside. Had view of mountains and of the ocean. It was also very large by any standard. It is not ocean front, but that is not so important as there is no beach in Funchal and our room had an ocean view. Only slightly negative observation was lack of things one usually sees in hotels e.g. no water bottles, no lotion..But that slight defect was overwhelmed by the quality of the room."

"Our family of five stayed for five nights in March. The property was quite large, and accommodated our party easily. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with everything necessary to cook breakfast and simple meals during our stay. The TV and internet worked well. There was a small pool which we did not use, as it was quite cool during our stay, but would be lovely for a dip during the summer. The property is quite high up the mountain, which allows for great views. A car rental is definitely recommended, and secure off street parking is available. Communication with the owner and property manager were quite good. Overall a great stay in Madeira."
