"Fantastic situation which suited us and our 2 dogs perfectly. You need to be organised with food due to the nearest shop being over 30 miles away but that being said we found some fantastic eateries on our road trips around the area. The negatives are that the ceiling are very low the stairs awkward and narrow and the condition is basic. Take chairs with you so that you can enjoy the sun trap garden. Luckily we had really good weather (last week in Apri)"

My only complaint would be a lack of some sundries, such as there were only a few toilet rolls between us 7 adults and 2 children - 2 out of the 3 bathrooms we used ran out of toilet paper. "We had a very relaxed and enjoyable stay. The property is well equipped, private and with great views of the sunset. Plentiful bird life was also an attraction. Self-catering was very easy with the well-stocked store nearby, as well as larger options not far away in Gairloch. And the area is beautiful - lots to see and amazing views across sea, lochs and mountains. Really excellent. "

"If you are going to Ullapool, stay at Harbour House. Period. It's an easy walk to town, the views are absolutely gorgeous and the staff were wonderful. We splurged and stayed in a loch view cabin and the minute we walked in thought, "We could stay here for a few more days." It's a bed and breakfast, so if you want it there are both full breakfast and continental style. Our friends stayed in the main building and couldn't rave more. "
