The Ixian Grand is incredible. This was our 3rd stay here and we are staying again in October. The Hotel itself is clean, welcoming and has everything you could possibly want for a relaxing, chilled out holiday. There are plenty of sunbeds to go round and you dont have to fight for one or reserve one. The food is great. We always eat at the buffet vis a vis reataurant. Plenty of choice. You can go up as many times as you like with a fresh plate and all the food is replenished promtly, so no need to load up with everything. The poolside snack bar is fantastic if you dont want a heavy lunch. The rooms are very clean and lots of amenities. The inside and outside bars are great and good selection of drinks included with all inclusive. The thing that sets this hotel apart from the others is the staff. Every single member of the team went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasurable one. Even on our first stay they were incredible. The reception team are very friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. The Porters and the transfer guys are fantastic. All of the restaurant staff are amazing. No request is too much trouble. One of my friends is allergic to peanuts and seafood and the restaurant team are so knowledgeable we had no worry about what they could eat. Finally the housekeeping staff were very friendly. We even noticed that the Hotel management were always at the hotel and worked just as hard as all the staff. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It is fatastic.

To put it politely, this hotel is pushing a below average 4 star. No way in hell can they consider themselves even close to 5 star. The hotel is generally shabby and needs a big glow up. The outdoor bar area could be much better utilised and presented. The evening entertainment was laughably bad. Having stuff like daily water aerobics at the main pool is far from a 5 star experience they advertise. The gym is a dusty shed with dreadful equipment- again not 5 star. The place was full of riff raff wall to wall. The staff however were very polite (minus the one who decided to steal my gold necklace from our room whilst we were out). In therms of the food and drink situation, they fail to tell you the full terms of ‘all inclusive’ until you arrive. They only allow one visit to the restaurants per stay, which also limit the food you can eat, so we left hungry. The food however was good throughout the stay. The choices of alcohol were terrible. The rooms were nice enough with big comfy beds, but again wouldn’t say are close to a 5 star stay. All in all, the location makes up for the majority of the above but this hotel doesn’t come to close to a 5 star stay/experience and wouldn’t recommend staying here at the prices they advertise during peak times having had stuff stolen from our room.

We had a lovely time, the staff, food, and accommodation were spot on, our suite was right on the beachfront, we ate in the restaurant that was exclusive to the suites and the food was great, nothing was too much trouble. We hired a car for a couple of days and went around the island, which was enjoyable, hiring the car at the hotel was quick and easy. I would recommend The jewellers in the hotel, I bought a ring which was very reasonably priced, a lot cheaper and better quality than in the uk. Would definitely recommend, and we will go back.

Loved the scenery, beautiful location. Superb service by all staff members who go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Food and drink were the only two items which could’ve been better. WARNING though, if doing all inclusive for fewer than 7 nights, the hotel doesn’t let you use any other restaurant other than the main one — unless you pay extra…

I loved the staff, the service was always above and beyond. It was clean and we felt safe. The ala carte restaurant was excellent . The buffet restaurant was hit or miss. They also need bathroom facilities near the pool not inside and down a flight of stairs in almost total darkness after coming in from the bright sun. The hot water for a shower in your room was only hot 2 times in our 7 day stay. Overall we were happy with our stay and would come back again

We were offered an upgrade a few days prior to our visit and we upgraded. So glad we did! The room, the view, location, access to all restaurants was worth every penny. The front desk staff was very helpful. Food was delicious. Our stay was wonderful from the time they pick us up at airport. Highly recommend Ixian Grand!

After arriving at Ixia Grand we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the hotel lobby area/bar was. Our next positive on arrival was to receive a room upgrade to a swim up pool room due to our original room being refurbished. The whole Holiday was a joy, staff were all very friendly and helpful, food and drinks very good especially the Greek a la carte meal, amenities great and location excellent for Rhodes town. A special mention goes to Aida who tirelessly attended to people’s drink requirements in the bar/lounge area, Argyro who always greeted us at the dining area with a beaming smile and Elena who tended to our table perfectly. A big thank you to all at the Ixia for a lovely holiday.

A lovely resort with wonderful staff. There are three pools, one indoor and two outdoor. Plenty of space around the pool and the beach is a stones throw away, complete with sun loungers. The food at the resort was good, some options were very basic and it would’ve been nice to have proper Greek food - you don’t go to a Greek island for pizza and and spag-bol! The bedroom was spacious, however, the bathroom had a window which meant any privacy was gone.. not ideal when the toilet looks out towards other rooms… that aside, the resort was perfect for a relaxing holiday.

We loved this hotel. We were fully prepared to eat out whilst staying here despite paying for all inclusive, however the food was excellent and the menu was varied enough that we never did. The staff were great and the room was lovely!

First the good bits! Staff were all very nice, really appreciated transfer to and from hotel, excellent ! Pools were lovely, as were the areas around the pool.The room was big and clean. However, the food was ok, a lot of it was standard buffet food which didn’t taste of that much. Drink was much the same. Wine wasn’t very nice so tried a cocktail- poured straight from a bottle ready made up, Margarita - green liquid , no mint etc no real taste. Decided to buy a pink gin( not available on all inclusive) - a staggering €9.80 for a single measure! The room- strange design feature- bathroom was all glass - toilet completely visible to anyone in the room ( and some things I don’t want to share even with my nearest and dearest ! ) The toilet was also totally visible to all in the block opposite - so to go to the bathroom I had to close all the curtains and close the patio doors , or the curtains would blow open- blinds would solve the problem!! The room was clean but the drains smelled and I was aware of the smell all the time I was in the room!

The staff were mostly friendly and attentive, we had one incident which required calling maintenance, who were at our room and fixing the issue within 5 minutes. There was some confusion over where the all-inclusiveness started and ended. It wasn't made totally clear at the outset exactly what was included, and the advertised 'table service' around the pool and beach failed to materialise - without explanation. Overall, however, we had a great experience, Rhodes is beautiful and the hotel was very comfortable. The fact that you're right on the beach is a real highlight. The free transfer offered by the hotel was also convenient and hassle-free.

This was my first solo holiday and it couldn't have gone much better. Everything was in order from the minute I arrived at the airport to when I left. All the staff were helpful and friendly, particularly the restaurant hostess who always took time to ask how my day had been. Great variety of restaurants and the food was exceptional. The spa was great and everyone was super kind. The gym was a little worse for wear and some equipment was broken, but otherwise the hotel room and facilities were brilliant.

Lovely stay
Great beach location and beautiful pool and gardens. Very friendly and helpful staff. All inclusive drinks not 5* standard. Buffet food generally good. Balcony sea view room spacious and good balcony. Lighting in bathroom poor.

Good sized deluxe sea view room with large bed. However, food choice was limited and a bit repetitive, and the quality was hit and miss. Evening entertainment was poor and VERY loud and located outside below the rooms so no chance of sleep until it finished at 11.15 Pool hygiene was questionable as there was a large wild duck permanently at/in it with obvious bird excrement at the bottom of the pool, plus algea and slime on a wall that people had written in. Stray cats were allowed to wander in/around the restaurant area which staff ignored even when pointed out. Staff attitudes in general were pretty bland and non-interested in their guests. Although this was 2 weeks before the hotel closed for the winter and (we learnt on the last day) was part of the recently defunct Thomas Cook group, it wasn't what we expect of a "5-star" hotel. Disappointed.

The positives were a great price for all inclusive (more on that later) with the added bonus of an upgrade on arrival with a private pool in one of the suites. However, I’m afraid these were the only positives from our point of the view. We found the majority of the staff to be sullen and not very welcoming - not sure of this was because of being towards the end of a long summer or because we were British? A particular waiter for example would barely acknowledge you throughout service but would shake hands, smile and even man hug a neighbouring European table! The all inclusive was very restricted - throughout the lead up to our holiday we often wondered how they can make a profit. Easy, let’s restrict you to 2 small glasses of wine per dinner service, 1 cup of coffee at breakfast and generally make you feel like you’re a nuisance when ordering food or a drink. The food in the buffet restaurant was repetitive and Greek night was the only decent offering. We appreciate they’re catering to several nationalities but come on, this is a Greek hotel - why offer school dinner quality spag Bol and poor quality Asian food?! This was our first visit to Rhodes and leave with the view that the hotel is possibly living on past glories - certainly not 5 star - and suffers from our point of view of being out of town within a very run down, desolate area with no decent amenities outside of the hotel.

Room was excellent with lots of space, large bed, two bathrooms, separate lounge/TV area. View of hotel grounds, beach, sea & Rhodes was amazing. Pity the food was not of the standard that the hotel & facilities deserved. Lots of choice but not of a high quality..
