Exceptional option for Heidelberg travel!
We booked the HIP hotel as it was near the local attractions that we wanted to see. The hotel was very clean, the rooms were exceptional and the staff was amazing. The hotel sits above a restaurant which is also incredible. We will stay here again when we return to Heidelberg!

Close to eyerything. If you need accessible room, the only room is Amsterdam, the room is nice, but bathroom awful, it’s really dated, old plastic and looks grubby.

Too high expectations maybe?
This was a pleasant hotel in a very convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff. The only issue was perhaps my expectations. I had read reviews describing how all rooms were themed and was therefore expecting something interesting but I was very underwhelmed by mine. It’s location in the hotel was ideal for me i.e. at the back and perfectly quiet but I was a bit disappointed especially when I glimpsed into another room as it was being cleaned - it looked fantastic. Although my room was expensive (by my standards) perhaps there was another, more expensive, option? Although I did not see this. In summary I enjoyed my stay but would not return unless I was sure I was getting one of the more interesting rooms.

Great hotel experience.
Made to feel very welcome at this quirky hotel in the Heidelberg Altstadt. The hotel decor is a pleasing mix of old and new with themed bedrooms. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We received a complementary drink on arrival, a glass of beer and a glass of Sekt in our case. We didn’t eat at the hotel but the food looked good. Excellent location for the Christmas markets, Neckar river, castle and shopping.

Great location, quirky hotel
The hotel is right in the middle of the old town so a great location. Our room was directly above the beer garden of the restaurant next door. This was a little noisy but all quiet by midnight on the four nights we were there. No air conditioning so all windows open which probably made it worse. We stayed in the Peking room which was quirky but comfortable. No tea/coffee making facilities. Bedside lighting not bright enough to read by.

Oh so central
The wifi was a little wonky during my stay but the receptionist allowed me to use his personal mobile phone wifi to get my work stuff done. This was very kind and helpful of him.

Loved this place! The decor is wonderful!
Loved the rooms, though reception was tiny. A few people checking in or out would fill the space. Thankfully, I did not experience that.
I'd like to go back, just to stay in another room...

Hôtel incroyable en même centre ville et aucun bruit malgré la période de fêtes… Nous avions chambre Dakar très belle ambiance mobilier très original petit coin salon S’il fallait bémol pas de mini bar et chambre un peu sombre difficile de lire au lit mais sinon parfait situation idéale pour parcourir la ville à pieds et se restaurer

Super freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, Lage direkt in der Fußgängerzone ist spitze, Frühstücksangebot war nicht üppig, aber durchaus ausreichend und lecker. Idee mit den Zimmern ist klasse, waren aber schon etwas abgewohnt, es sollte in den Zimmern und im Lokal / Biergarten einiges gemacht werden, war sonst wirklich schön.

Havde noget større forventninger til et 4-stjernet hotel. Gav 135 euros for 1 overnatning uden morgenmad. God beliggenhed, det er den du betaler for. Utiltalende område ved reception. Der står st hotellet har parkering, men det er offentlige betalingspladser. Man kan ikke køre til hotellet, da det ligger på gågaden.

Mitten im Herzen von Heidelberg. Lage war super. Zimmer entsprachen allerdings nicht den Erwartungen zum Preis. Foyer sah leicht lieblos aus. Das Zimmer war schön, aber das Bad war leider „ungepflegt“. Da schien es als hätte im Waschbecken mal etwas gebrannt, ein großer schwarzer Flecken. Der Duschkopf sah verkalkt aus und mehrere Löcher mit und ohne Dübel befanden sich in der Wand.

Ein 4 Sterne Hotel mit defekten Lampen, herabhängenden losen Kabeln, mit einzigen Waschbecken außerhalb des Bads, einem leidlich geputzten Boden: Nie wieder. Auch, dass 7 Leute zu Coronazeiten im Flur auf ca. 8 qm aufs Bezahlen warten mussten: geht gar nicht!! Das Frühstück war okay, aber warum wurde den Gästen das selbe Desinfektionsmittel auf die Hände gesprüht, das anschließend zum Reinigen der Tische genutzt wurde? Der abendliche Restaurant-Besuch war unterirdisch: Kalter Raum, Defekte Tischlampe = Dunkel am Sitzplatz, angeschlagene Teller/Gläser und Speisen, die viel besser klangen als sie waren.

Normalerweise ein schönes Hotel, aber durch Corona leider etwas heruntergekommen. Am Tag nach unserer Ankunft türmte sich ein meterhoher Wäscheberg im Flur unter einer Anbseite, der leider auch nicht enfernt wurde. Auf den Nachttischlampen lag von Anfang an Staub, auch der wurde nicht beseitigt bis zu unserer Abfahrt. Es gab zwar neue Handtücher, aber das Bad wurde nicht geputzt und auch die Bettwäsche wurde nicht gewechselt. Der Lichtschalter zum Baddezimmer war locker und hielt nicht gut an der Wand, der Vergrösserungsspiegel im Bad hatte einen Sprung wo mir das Licht direkt ins Auge schien, eine Lampe am Bett war eingerissen und verbeult ... Das Frühstück war sehr spartanisch, der Cappucchino allerdings frisch gemacht von einem sehr sehr freundlichen zuvorkommenden hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiter (der ein besonderes Lob verdient, er hat (auf meine Anfrage hin) an unserem Hochzeitstag den Tisch hübsch gedeckt und uns sehr herzlich gratuliert ! Nachdem wir das mit dem Wäscheberg bei der Inhaberin erwähnt haben, durften wir dann das Zimmer in eine Kategorie besser wechseln, auch hier war scheinbar sehr lange kein Staub gewischt worden, das Zimmer war aber grundsätzlich sehr schön und groß und das Bad hatte ein Fenster ! Uns wurde dann auch noch ein Frühstück erlassen.

Charmantes Hotel direkt in der Altstadt mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Besonderheit: Jedes Zimmer ist anders eingerichtet. (Parken geht nur im nahegelegenen Parkhaus).

Von der Lage Top! Am Besten P11 nehmen, dann sind es nur ein paar Schritte. Die Idee mit den Themenzimmern (Städte) ist klasse und gut umgesetzt. Echt zu empfehlen!
