Hotel was clean. They served breakfast and dinner. Location is good. My friend and I walked into town and it was about 30minutes walk. My only issue however was that there was an unpleasant smell in our room. I had booked a window room but it turned out the window room was in the middle of the corridor not a window you could view the outside from .

Overall, my stay was pretty good. Good breakfast, clean, good location (near gas station, small grocery store, and busstop), helpful staff. The room had a private bathroom. Problems? The room, while quite clean, had walls that were slighly skuffed up and was on the small side even for me. But the main problem was the noise. It didn't bother me so much because my jet lag was bad on this trip so I wasn't really sleeping at any time of the day or night anyway, but it would have bothered most people. The staff helped with getting people in the common area on the floor calmed down.

Hotel Cabin was what we needed, a room to sleep in! The staff were all pleasant and helpful. We could store our luggage in a safe place prior to check in so we could explore without toting around our suit cases. The rooms are small, but fine. It was clearly not cleaned in depth before we got there, coffee splatter on the walls for example, but the sheets were clean and the bathroom was pretty good. I would stay there again.

While convenient for one night, the room was extremely small (could not open suitcase on floor) and shampoo/conditioner are only available at reception. The location is clearly popular with large youth groups, who congregated in the hallways and played loud music. Thankfully the staff were exceptional.

Good location
Nice hotel and good location. Our room was small but good. Clean, comfortable and a very good breakfast. If you like to walk it was close enough to the main part of town and an interesting walk. Very close to the water. Grocery store, bus stop and restaurants very nearby. It’s also very near Laugardalslaug geothermal pool complex which is a very fun place.

Nothing particularly special. Typical smaller European hotel. But definitely above a hostel. Reykjavik is relatively small so everything is close. Restaurants. Walking areas. Tourist areas. Swam laps at nice 50m pool within walking distance. Parking filled both nights but I think it accommodated all cars. Many travelers on bus tours.

Our stay at Hotel Cabin was okay. One night pre-cruise. Our room was incredibly small (could hardly fit our suitcases) and the beautiful painted 'window' was a window into the hallway - not outside. Hotel Cabin is very close to the cruise terminal and hotel staff got us a taxi in 10 minutes. Breakfast was okay but chaotic due to poor set up of the buffet - staff and customers made it like we were like playing whack-a-mole. Would I stay again? Maybe. Price is much less than other hotels and we merely needed a place to sleep.

I accept that I booked a basic room, without a window. However the room that I got appeared to be designed by someone who was challenged to design the smallest room that would fit all of the furniture and completely forget that people and luggage need to fit into the room too. The result was an extremely claustrophobic room, which I couldn't wait to get out of each morning. In addition the bathroom had no extractor, and the room (as previously mentioned) had no window, so by the time we had both showered in the morning, the room had the environment of a steam room. I cannot comment on the bigger rooms of this hotel, but I would strongly advise avoiding the basic rooms.

This is an economy hotel with small rooms and breakfast included. The breakfast was geared more towards European tastes, but we were able to find a few things to eat like cereal. The staff were extremely helpful. It is also only 10 minutes from the cruise port for Norwegian Cruise Line. It met our needs.

Took a triple room and it’s the smallest I have ever stayed where you don’t have space to walk and can’t put your luggage. Also beds are bad too soggy. Decent breakfast. Not worth the price

Found this property to convenient to downtown area and sea wall for a leisurely walk . Included breakfast was adequate, bar located in property is nice , large leisure area. Staff were very helpful , booked tickets etc through desk . Would recommend this hotel .

Lovely staff and comfortable beds.
The hotel is very basic and the room was small but it was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Considering this the review is slightly lower but the staff are very friendly and helpful. For the amount of time we was in the hotel it was perfect for what we needed. When visiting Iceland you won’t be spending much time in the hotel as there is so much to see! Good hotel with great staff and a comfortable bed.

I upgraded my room to get more space so I would only recommend the superior rooms. The restaurant is only open for breakfast and they have no hot items and the food they have is minimal. They do not clean the rooms unless you stay over 3 days and you need to being your dirty towels to the lobby to get clean ones. Very basic hotel

Good for a one night roof over head kinda stay
Tiny room for two people. Toilet seat hinges were loose fittings. Quite expensive for what we got. But good on-site parking and decent breakfast included.

I liked the breakfast buffet especially and convenient before going out. There should be more tongs for buffet food so that guests don't use their fingers. I liked esp the blond check in staff and Abram in housekeeping with my room problem. I liked my upgraded room. The hotel is convenient for busing, site seeing, airport drop off, and pick up. My room window was a bit leaky from outside cold air and traffic noise.

Most of features I´m asked to assess or score are features that should be ready to instant use, such as conviently fold away into the surrounding walls, either folded away if enough space for that. That is my feedback at safe distance to be truly disabled friendly. Which is also the easiest place for a really thoughtful host (just enough OCD to point to the prepared twin bed) is to fail to cover if it you already know in advance is to enter the washing machine.

The room was very small. I knew it would not have a window but it was a bit larger than a closet. The "two beds" were two twins against one another. Not exactly two beds. The breakfast was pretty bland. They would not grand us a late checkout of just one hour. The staff was mostly nice.
