In the city centre, Fosshotel Lind is in an area with good shopping. Harpa and National Museum of Iceland are cultural highlights, and some of the area's notable landmarks include Hallgrimskirkja and Perlan. Sundhollin and Laugardalslaug Geothermal Pool are also worth visiting. Our guests appreciate the hotel's central location.
We did not enjoy our stay here. After spending all day outdoors on adventure tours and hot springs, all we wanted was a comfortable space to relax and shower. The bathroom was very small. They do not treat the water (like everywhere else we stayed in our 1 week trip) so there is a strong sulfur smell to the water. This was not clarified at the time of booking but they post a sign in the bathroom stating they do not further treat the water to eliminate that smell. Too late. The room design/aesthetics was very basic and not welcoming with an off-putting sea-green color to the floor and amateur hand-drawings on the wall. It felt like a college freshman dorm room. This was not worth the price. The positives: The staff was very helpful and kind. The room was very quite despite the hotel being close to a main street. Despite this, we will not return to this hotel or recommend it to others.
