Fantastic hotel in a superb location. Service is excellent and the bagel shop and Le Kock are fab. Got to try the garlic and parmesan potatoes in Le Kock and the smoked salmon bagels are out of this world! Location is fantastic for both the town and for the whale watching/Northern Lights. Bedrooms comfortable and bathroom was great. Not sure about the decor - our room looked like it hadn't been finished but it was a design choice apparently. Not my taste but some might like it. Really enjoyed our stay - we'll be back!

Disappointing place. Expensive for a small room with literally no view. Terrible breakfast. No espresso or cappuccino at breakfast. Only watery filtered coffee. Barely any fruit. Rude staff. It reminds me of a budget hotel yet it was 350 euro a night.

Great little place. Rooms are a bit small, but that just may have been the American in me. The staff was VERY FRIENDLY. They welcomed us in and check in took less than a minute. Great food options connected to the hotel, with the Kock to your left and a bakery by the entrance. Would definitely stay again!

The hotel is in a great location for Reykjavik visitors, very close to bus stop #4 if you are taking the Flybus from the airport. The restaurant options very close by are excellent. The staff at the hotel were very helpful, and the free breakfast very good. One thing to note for this hotel, is that the rooms can be very warm. Ask how to turn off the heat when your arrive, and crack a window.

Walkable location, near restaurants, art museum, shopping. Close to a city bus stop. Restaurant and bar on site (get the breakfast if you can!). Friendly staff. Warm, comfortable, small, efficient rooms.

We had a nice stay at Exeter. The staff were all very friendly, we enjoyed the food at Deig and Le Kock, and the location is excellent. We found the beds to be comfortable and the sauna and shower luxurious. Our only issue was with how hot the room was, even with the furnace turned off and the towel warmer turned off. Even in mid December we had to have the window open quite a bit. We were in a room facing the street—no noise issues with the window closed, but obviously when we had it open it was loud. There isn’t a fan in the bathroom either, so showers add to the temperature issue. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay at the Exeter.

Great location and wonderful staff! Yousef and Thomas were such great staff at the reception desk -- so friendly, knowledgeable and courteous! Great experience - would definately stay there again and again!

Really liked the layout of the room, all the staff was friendly and helpful, it was clean and quiet and within walking distance to most of the places we wanted to go to. Didn’t get to try the sauna, but the shower in the room was large and had both a wand and a large overhead shower head. We had a courtyard view, which was pleasant.

The Exeter Hotel was the perfect choice. Location was amazing, staff friendly, many different choices for food, shopping and tour pick-ups within easy walking distance. Room was just right. Comfortable bed. We did have a car and simply parked in a public parking area a few blocks away so it was free!

This hotel is the perfect spot to stay It is a cool trendy place with a good vibe The bakery bar and restaurant make you feel like you are in downtown New York The decor is like no other hotel The room was a little warm at times so we opened the window

Lovely hotel next to the harbour east walking to everywhere. The hotel restaurant does great burgers (best in Reykjavik) and their pastries are incredible. The hotel felt quiet despite it being pretty full. Would def recommend staying here

Reykjavik's best hotel
We loved the location and the staff were extremely helpful and kind. We greeted the Reykjavik harbor every morning from our room, slept comfortably and enjoyed our European-style breakfast. There is a lovely sauna off the reception area that we utilized to warm up after being outside in Iceland's winter weather. I also recommend the bakery and the bar on the main floor. Live music in the bar was very good. We booked a Golden Circle tur through the hotel and I give that tour 10 out of 10! This was our 5th time in Iceland and we will definitely be back.

Great location overlooking harbour but close enough to walk to all the shops/bars and beside stop for tours. Beautiful view from room. Staff very helpful. Breakfast great and food at night great value. Hotel was furnished really well. Loved everything about it
