Great hotel in perfect location

Posted 21-Apr-2017
Pros: modern, so close to shops, restaurants, the harbor etc.
Cons: Where our room was situated the music from the club nearby could at times be heard late at night.
Wonderful experience. Andrea at the front desk was beyond helpful, giving us tips on sightseeing, helping make dinner reservations and responding immediately to any needs we had. Everyone at the hotel was so pleasant, our room was clean and modern and you could not beat the location.

central location

Posted 20-Apr-2017
Pros: helpful, friendly staff
Cons: triple glazing!
Location: great central location near shops, bars and restaurants. Close to harpa and short walk to cathedral.
Good location for restaurants, shops and walking to various points of interest. Spa looked great but was a hot pool rather than "Jacuzzi", it had a steam room but would have been nice to have a sauna also. Disappointed that we had to pay extra for Spa even as guests of the hotel. Modern trendy bedrooms and reception area. Good breakfast. Staff were very friendly, spoke good English and were very helpful. only negative really was that on 3 nights heard the boom of the B5 night club until the early morning -ear plugs helped but as we were so tired after our trips managed to sleep ok.

Friendly hotel, great location

Posted 19-Apr-2017
I stayed here for a few days in April and used it as a base to explore Reykjavik and take a few tours. The hotel is in a perfect location for all sights and there is a great choice of bars, restaurants, etc close by. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the room I had was spacious and lovely. Breakfast was very good as well I would definitely stay here again next time I am lucky enough to visit this beautiful country.

Great staff but facilities in the room were broken

Posted 18-Apr-2017
Pros: Location and staff.
Cons: General condition of the rooms. Plus breakfast could be better.
Location: Very close to all the good restaurants, bars and sites.
The staff were knowledgeable and very helpful. Sadly, the rooms needed a bit of sprucing up. Little things like bath plugs not working, toilet flush broken and tv not working properly let down the overall experience.

Funky decor in perfect location

Posted 14-Apr-2017
The location made all the difference but the fact it was so creatively decorated made it a real pleasure. The room has all the bits n bobs you'd hope for. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Great breakfast too in such a smallish space. Everything and more. Keep away from other hotels not in Downtown as the locations are far away and soulless-unlike at this one!

Pros: Small modern centrally located, friendly staff, helpful and informative. Good standard of room . The buffet breakfast was very good with variety.
Cons: maybe provide free parking for residents on the adjacent streets.
Location: Good central location for shops and restaurants Only a short walk to the bay/harbor. Easy access to main routes in and out of Reykjavik.
We booked the hotel and travel online which was straight forward and very easy. The hotel was modern and central to Reykjavik. The rooms were clean of a very good standard and the buffet breakfast was excellent with a good variety to choose from. We spent 3 days touring the area seeing the beautiful geysers, waterfalls and spas etc which in our opinion was the only way it should be done as you weren't tied to long coach trips in between sites. The country was ruggedly beautiful and sparsely populated outside Reykjavik. People were genuinely pleasant. The negative side of Iceland is that it is extremely expensive to eat and drink. We did not 'shop' there but that too looked very expensive.

Best location, amazing breakfast, extremely helpful staff. Loved the hotel decor. Small rooms but great design. Loved the twin duvets on double bed- brilliant for great night sleep. Lovely spa. COULD NOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH. WE LOVED IT AND CERTAINLY GOING BACK. Iceland extremely expensive but worth every penny.

Cons: Paint some art work on the concrete outside room 102.
For - close to restaurants, shops, harbour. Very friendly and helpful staff, spacious rooms, excellent choice at breakfast. Against - external noise. Not the place to stay on a Friday or Saturday night if you actually want to sleep, as the local clubs/bars don't close until early hours (a fact pointed out to us by our coach driver on Sunday morning. Too late!). View from our room was of a grey concrete wall, not very inspiring. Reported the safe in our room not working on Sunday morning - still wasn't working when we left of Thursday (though we were given a drinks voucher and spa access for the inconvenience of having to take bits and pieces to reception every time we wanted to go out.
