Unbelievable in every way. The building and the room and especially the staff were amazing. We will definitely be returning. We are avid travellers so have experienced a lot of accommodations. This place has earned every 9 points in their rating. The location is perfect. All of the staff go above and beyond. The actual hotel is spectacular. Highly recommend this

Stay in a historical villa!
Amazing property, outstanding service, tasty breakfast, friendly staff, and walkable to everything in Old Town. If you appreciate architecture and history, then this is the place to stay. Adjacent location to the Cathedral makes it easy to find after a late night dinner. They even provided us beach towels when we mentioned we were going to the beach! We will definitely return and wished our stay was longer.

The property is beautiful and in an excellent location to visit Rethymno. The staff, from the owner to the cleaners couldn’t be more helpful and nice, full of advice, recommendations and smiles! They made my girlfriend’s 30th birthday extra special with the little touches that are so often forgotten by chain hotels. We would recommend to anyone and would definitely stay here again.

I honestly couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Anna the owner was the most friendly host a person could ask for and the property was too beautiful to be believed. I had to check in very early in the morning and despite my flight being delayed Anna waited up for me, she greeted me with a smile, great recommendations and historical tidbits about the property. My balcony overlooked the 800 year old Italian garden and having coffee and pastries every morning there was a relaxing experience. The location of the property is fantastic, just off the old town but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Every member of staff was helpful, friendly and full of wonderful recommendations. As a frequent traveller, this is one of the best places I've ever stayed. Don't hesitate to book Casa Moazzo, if I'm ever firtunate enough to be in Crete again I won't stay anywhere else.

This was our second visit and from first stepping into Casa Moazzo the Cretan hospitality we received throughout our stay was second to none. Anna & Alexander should be very proud of their hotel as the attention to detail is outstanding and all the rooms / public areas are immaculately and tastefully decorated and always very clean. All the staff are lovely especially Maria, Chrissy and Vicky who went the extra mile to make our stay just perfect. Thank you so much for an absolutely exceptional week where we arrived as guests and left as friends. Truly a great family hotel where exceptional memories are made and to Anna and all her team thank you so much for an absolutely outstanding week, we will be back again.

Great hotel in Rethymno
We felt that we were valued guests immediately upon our arrival, and given lots of local information. The Hotel is well located, and everything is within easy walking distance, even the bus station. The room was spacious and clean, and the breakfast featured lots of local produce.

Boutique hotel experience at a reasonable price
Charming building over 100 years old but recently refitted so all clean & new. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Excellent breakfast. Because it's in the old town there's no parking but a municipal car park is onlt 100m away. Or there is a free one 150m away. All the tourist attractions are an easy walk away as are huge numbers of restaurants/tavernas. Premium experience at a mud range price.

Great welcome !
Great welcome, staff very friendly and interested in what you might like to do whilst staying in the area. Very knowledgable, both their suggestions for trips were spot on. Breakfast at 15 euros for two was adequate but slightly disappointing, everything else tip top.

This was one of the best hotel experiences of our lives. Such kind, patient and dedicated staff and the room we has was stunning. The courtyard breakfast was such a great way to start the day. Congrats to the team at Casa Moazzo for such incredible work.

Everything about the stay was incredible. The location was perfect as it was centered near everything within walking distance, the property itself makes you feel as that you are home rather than a hotel and finally the staff and ownership make you feel as you are a part of their family. I cannot say enough positive things and will be back again very soon! Will not even bother looking elsewhere while staying in Rethymno!

Lovely boutique hotel, recently modernise to a very high standard.It's in a very central position in the picturesque old town. Fantastic restaurants nearby, all recomended by the wonderfully helpful, kind and welcoming hotel staff. In fact the staff really make this hotel a pleasure to stay at. They are all charming, kind and helpful and made this a wonderful stay in the town.

Small boutique hotel in great location of old town. Had an amazing 1 bedroom loft facing the street - VERY spacious! Staff is excellent - friendly & helpful!! Breakfast was amazing - fresh fruit & bakery items & eggs to order & more. 2 very minor negatives: hand-held shower in claw foot tub (we like stall showers) & 7 am church bells that sound like they are right next door (that's because the church is pretty much next door - maybe 50 feet away).

A very nice recently renovated hotel with ice rooms and in great location. The hotel is just less than 5 mins walk from the car park and is located in Rethymno old town centre. Staff are very professional and very polite. You can enjoy the breakfast but especially the great omelettes. Will definitely return to this place.

.A pleasant stop in Rethymno.
Only 1 day in Rethymno, but the staff made it easy and enjoyable. Helped us with parking issues (on Marathon Sunday!). Beautiful, clean room and excellent breakfast. Left some meds behind us and they helped us get them back.

These hoteliers should win an award.
This was authentically Greek. Miss Anna and Alex were the height of hospitality and graciousness. They gave us better recommendations for dinner and shopping than we found on all the website research we had done. The breakfast was delightful, the room was authentic but with modern amenities. If it had a pool it would have been perfect, but with such a close walk to the lovely beach it wasn't a problem. Staying in the old town was a great idea. We rarely return to places...but we will defininately return to Cassa Moazzo.

Gorgeous room and hotel. If you are visiting this town, this is the only hotel to stay. Anna is lovely as well as her staff. Breakfast and the room were excellent. Highly reccomend. Close to all points of interest

Fabulous hotel with lovely staff.
Hotel was in the heart of the old town which made it handy for everything ie beach restaurants,harbour bus station etc. However it was located in a peaceful street so no trouble with noise. The hotel was beautiful withe every luxury you could want fir a comfortable stay. The hotel owner,family and staff could not have been nicer or more helpful and we left feeling we had made friends. Nothing was too much trouble and excursions, taxis and restaurant bookings were all made with a smile and helpful advice from Anna the owner. Would definitely recommend this hotel and Rethymnon as a holiday destination for anyone wanting luxury in a hotel and a lovely town for history and things to do. Will be returning.

A great choice.
A very good location, in the old town and very close to all the action, but quiet. Also close to the modern town and a municipal carpark (but beware the market held there on Thursdays). Beautiful courtyards (bit of a thrill to see tourists taking photos of your hotel). Very comfortable, clean, good breakfast, helpful and friendly service, and a cheap laundry a few doors away. Only small problem for us was the difficulty showering in the bathtub with handheld shower and no screen, without swamping the room - needs a little practice.

The best place to stay.
This about the nicest place I have ever stayed at. The building has been lovingly restored and modernised in total sympathy with its origins. The owners are passionate about looking after their guests and making the stay in the town the most enjoyable for them. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The website will give you an idea of the building and facilities but as excellent as they are there is so much more to this wonderful establishment than the stones and mortar.

A is for Aphrodite Room
Great hotel for your honeymoon or future family vacations! It was private, quiet and the room was amazing. We stayed in the "Aphrodite Room" as it was our honeymoon. And the room was lovely. The beds were amazing (I think the mattresses were cocomats(?)), best nights rest in Crete. The owners were so kind and helpful that any fault I could find with place was immediately forgotten.

Que dire sinon que tout était parfait ! Le studio dans l'annexe à deux pas de l'hôtel est superbe, l'emplacement parfait pour visiter Rethymnon, le petit déjeuner excellent et ce qui ne gâte rien le personnel d'une gentillesse exquise. Une seule envie c'est d'y revenir...Et encore merci à Anna pour le cadeau d'anniversaire!

Magnifique séjour passé dans cet hôtel, idéalement situé dans la vieille ville. Tout à 10 minutes à pieds. L'hôtel est sublime, très bien décoré et très confortable, on ne manque de rien. Le personnel est au petit soin avec ses clients, gros point positif nous avons été accompagné du début à la fin par une adorable personne de l'hôtel qui parle français, qui nous a conseillé sur les restaurants et lieux à visiter. Si un jour on retourne en Crète, nous choisirons à nouveau le Casa Moazzo

Skønt hotel på alle parametre, hvor du føler dig hjemme. Fantastiske ejere/personale som er så søde og hjælpsomme. Lækker morgenmad med lokale råvarer. Dejligt værelse med alt hvad du behøver. Skøn beliggenhed på rolig placering, men tæt på alt. Vi har været så tilfredse og vender helt sikkert tilbage! :-)

Charming hotell in the heart of the old town
We stayed for two nights. The hotell is situated at the heart of the old town. It was build at 1906, but quite recently renovated. A lot of the old structure and surfaces are tastefully preserved. The room was quite large. The staff were all exceptionally nice and helpful. Although located at the old town, we did not hear much noise during the night but we heard the church bells in the morning. It was a great experience to stay at this hotell and we would highly recommend it.

Etablissement juste parfait ! Nous sommes restés seulement 2 nuits mais ce fut les meilleures de notre séjour en Crète. Localisation idéale au coeur de la vieille ville et à 10min à pieds de la plage. Belle bâtisse au style vénitien, les chambres sont spacieuses, très confortables, bien équipés ( baignoire à remous, frigo, climatisation...) et décorées avec goût. Propreté irréprochable. Petits déjeuners excellents : copieux avec spécialités locales, jus d'orange pressé, oeufs (cuisinés selon votre choix sur place), fruits frais coupés ... L'équipe est exceptionnelle : chaleureuse, souriante, distillant plein de bonnes recommandations. Merci à toute l'équipe et Anna pour leur gentillesse. Nous vous recommandons (+++) cet établissement à Rethymnon.
