We booked this hotel for its airport proximity and free shuttle. Public areas were roomy. Restaurant is huge and very good for dinner with good service. Double room was clean and bed comfortable, but room is too tiny to open suitcases for two. Elevators look shabby. We were rousted 5:45 a.m. for a fire evacuation and staff was efficient and professional in that. (Alarm was triggered by another guest room, possibly a smoker.)
Overnight stay as needed to be near that side of Glasgow area. Good parking and easy to find; lovely big hotel with great potential but needs some investment to realise its fantastic potential as looks tired.
Hotel is nice enough but Receptionist wasn't very helpful. We were Room Only but weren't offered the option to have breakfast and were only given the minimum of information. When we checked out we weren't asked about our stay. We didn't pay a lot for the room but you still expect to be made to feel welcome. Hotel itself was very comfortable.
Overall fine stay. Overpriced but you are paying for convenience to airport. Limited power outlets (one in room and razor outlet only in bathroom) so a power bar would go along way so one could use lamp, kettle and charge phone at same time. Hotel restaurant was fantastic.
Renfrewshire contains much of Glasgow's commuter belt as well as the airport, and its roads are consequently often congested. The main town is Paisley, famous for its distinctive textile designs, no longer produced there, but represented in the Museum and Art Gallery. Paisley's Gilmour Street railway station is one mile from Glasgow airport terminal. The town is seven miles from Glasgow.
