Tuesday nights the restaurant and bar was closed. there were refreshments available, but you were not able to sit anywhere communal to enjoy them and speak to people you were travelling with. When asked if we could make use of the garden we were told no as other people may want to sit outside too and the staff didn't want to 'look-after' anyone - despite the refreshments being self-service. The one place you could sit with a friend was in the corridor on a sofa that was blown and uncomfortable in the dark.

Excellent experience at this hotel!! :-)
We spent the first few nights of a 10 day vacation in Germany at this hotel, and quite honestly, our experience here was vastly beyond our expectations!! Our room was cozy and comfortable with beautiful woodwork that surrounds you, the staff was EXCEPTIONAL...friendly, eager to please and accommodate, the restaurant was convenient with delicious selections, plus complimentary continental breakfast. Every evening when we returned to the hotel from our daily outings, we felt as if we were coming 'home'. And it seems that many local people enjoy gathering together here in the evenings for a meal and good beer and conversation, so much authentic culture, and an incredibly positive vibe!! The AKZENT Hotel Gasthof Krone is truly a gem, we will DEFINITELY plan to stay here in the future!!

Qinnessential German Guest House
We chose the location because we wanted something outside Frankfurt for our last night before flying home. It was a quaint, very "old German" local inn. The restaurant had the best food during our month in Germany.

Okay hotel for a quick nights sleep
Room was okay, but expensive for the quality. Furnishings are extremely outdated. Food from the restaurant smelled really good; wish I had more time to try it. Great parking. Quiet, secluded village. Room cleanliness was mediocre; I found several hairs in the bathtub and sink. Perfect for a quick nights sleep to get back on the road. ...I don't want to write anymore. I have said all that I want to say, but this box says I have to write a bit more. So I am doing that, and I hope that whoever reads this considers shortening the word limit, or else you're going to get people to not leave reviews because they will be so irritated. Oh my goodness, this box still says my review is not long enough. And it still does now as well. Still does. Blah, blah, blah. I am about to give up very shortly. Okay, I'm done with this.zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

This is a cool hotel right in center of town. Easy to miss if you're not looking carefully. Only 5 min detour off the autobahn. The room was plenty big. The staff was ok. Restaurant was great. Had a nice relaxing meal. I'd call this a boutique hotel, but is probably commonplace in Germany. VERY quiet. Would definitely stay here again

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room clean and comfortable beds, though furnishings a bit 'tired'. Restaurant staff very helpful. Food at dinner -local specialities available and breakfast very good with lots of choice and fresh breads on offer. Our room overlooked the Beer Garden, which I wouldn't have liked if it was Summer, as when we opened the window during the night, one could smell stale cigarette smoke. Overall it was good.

Small town hotel with nice courtyard restaurant.
Not far off the Frankfurt-Wurzburg autobahn this hotel was fine for an overnight stay. A bit noisy in the morning due to trucks going by but otherwise good. Breakfast was basic but included. Very clean and friendly staff. The restaurant in the courtyard during warm months was cosy and frequented by locals - pretty good food. Not all that much of interest in the town but Wurzburg is not far down the road.

Akzent Hotel, Helmstadt
The Akzent is located on a road that is much busier than one might think looking at the map. If you're a light sleeper you might want to get a room away from the road, or take earplugs because the noise from the road is really loud from as early as 5am. The rooms were spotlessly clean, and at just 30 mins from Wurzburg it would make a good base for exploring the local area. When we arrived, late in the evening, parking was on the street only.

Große Doppelzimmer mit Sitzecke. Leider hat der Gast keine Möglichkeit die Zimmertemperatur zu regulieren, da die Heizkörperthermostate ferngesteuert werden. 18°C sind mir Tagsüber persönlich zu wenig. Das WLAN funktioniert einwandfrei. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist den Preis nicht wert.

Gerne hätten wir die Heizung auch tagsüber für Sie höher gestellt, leider haben Sie sich nicht gemeldet - so konnten wir nicht reagieren. Die Auswahl am Frühlstücksbüffet ist auf die Anzahl der Übernachtungsgäste abgestimmt, so kann es sein, dass nicht alle Platten üppig belegt sind. Selbstverständlich erfüllen wir auch Extrawünsche sollte mal etwas am Büffet fehlen, wir müssen es nur wissen. Das Krone-Team

Ein schönes Hotel
Wir wollten eine Stadtreise in Würzburg machen. Helmstadt ist 15 min entfernt mit dem Auto und das Hotel war ruhig und angenehm. Kinderfreundlicher Empfangbereich. Nur zu empfehlen mit Kindern.

Muito bom
Ficamos hospedados no primeiro dia da Rota Romântica. Fica em Helmstadt, cidade pequena a 18 km de Wüzburg. É um excelente hotel para quem está de carro.
