Fairytale-like setting with loads of charm

Posted 12-Aug-2016
Pros: Everything.
Location: Good location at the end of the Avenue of Champagne. About .8 mile walk to the center of town but good for walking off champagne and good food!
We were here for two nights, exploring the Champagne houses of Epernay. The property itself is lovely, with picturesque gardens, spacious rooms and beautiful public areas. All of the staff were attentive, helpful, gracious and very knowledgeable about the area. Our French is poor, but their English was excellent.

Luxury on Avenue de Champagne

We stayed two nights in May 2016 and it was fantastic! A little too cold for the pool, but the grounds are beautiful. Service was great with lots of recommendations for restaurants and wineries. It's walking distance to town and tasting.

Fantastic hotel, close to the centre of Epernay. Beautiful building, with a lovely well-kept room. Very clean. Staff were exceptionally friendly with good recommendations. Would certainly stay again.

Lovely but no easy walk to restaurants

Posted 18-Apr-2016
We assumed Epernay was a smallish town with easy access to restaurants, since the hotel does not have one. True, but be aware that the nearest restaurant was a fifteen minute walk away. Although the Villa Eugene is on the edge of town it is on a busy road, so the option to open the windows at night was limited and unfortunately the rooms had to be either all air conditioned or all heated and we are at an on/off weather time of year...so our only option was to have them cut off the heat to our room which also cut off the air supply! Finally, after working for a day the internet failed on our floor. However the staff was as helpful as humanly possible and overall our stay was pleasant.

Nice Hotel in Champagne Region

Posted 04-Jan-2016
Pros: Excellent staff, homey atmosphere.
Cons: I would have to say the parking was a little cramped, but I do not believe there is much to be done to alleviate the issue.
We arrived to a wonderfully appointed room with a courtyard on the second floor. The bathroom was spacious and we were next to the breakfast area in the mornings. The view was amazing and accessing downtown to shop and experience the local eateries was simple. The concierge also alerted us to the restaurants we would have available as we were there during the end of the year when many businesses close down for a vacation.

Great stay in Epernay

Lovely hotel in a great location. Easy to find and plenty of secure parking. Hotel staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful with all aspects of our stay. In our room the Wifi and Cable connection were a bit intermittent, but that didn't affect our stay as we were certainly not there to be watching TV etc!

Beautiful hotel on Ave de Champagne. Perfect location for the major champagne houses. The rooms are beautiful and the showers are awesome with complimentary perfume that was a great touch.
