There is a lovely screened-in porch with plenty of seating and a great open deck area for additional outside seating. There is plenty of private parking, a gas grill, an outdoor shower, and a lovely private yard. Great outdoor space for the kids to run around or for a family BBQ. Spacious outdoor shower, huge patio area w/ seating, full washer & dryer, and well-equipped kitchen. This home has no heat. LOCATION: The beautifully situated home is also very private. North Shore guests have full access to the beautiful Atlantic Ocean Beach with approximately 2,200 feet of private shoreline. The private community beach, swimming pool (summer only), tennis courts, and marina are just a short walk away. The glorious new bike/ jogging path from Gordon's Pond through the wetlands to Lewes is conveniently nearby. North Shores is a quiet residential community with a 24/7 security patrol and a private beach (with lifeguards from Memorial Day through Labor Day). The beach is a short walk from the house, but renters who prefer not to walk or bike may park free in the lot next to the community swimming pool. This is an easy way to get to the beach if you bring equipment. North Shores has an ideal location between the Rehoboth boardwalk and Henlopen State Park. You can walk south for one mile along the beach from North Shores to the center of Rehoboth, with a boardwalk and a wide array of restaurants and shops. Teenagers can quickly get to the boardwalk and back on their own by foot or bike. Or you can head north, where five miles of undeveloped beach and the recently completed secluded bike and walking path lead to the lovely town of Lewes. A quick car ride to Rt. 1 brings you to the three sets of tax-free Tanger Outlets. PARKING: Private driveway for four cars. Having the dog was a major plus for us, the beach is open to them in the morning and evening and our pup loved romping w other beach hounds. North shores is hard to beat as a community, easy biking into town, pool and tennis courts plus beach umbrella service (for a fee). The house itself is a bit like glamping (pics reflect this) but the dated decor only made some of us nostalgic for the 70s. We appreciated the new washer/dryer and grill! We found it wonderfully suited to our purposes again this year but not quite as well kept up as might have been wished and we fear its days are numbered as more and more Mega-Mansions replace "our kind" of vacation properties. ##### E & S S. All window ac units. Porches were screened in but there are a lot of bugs that travel though the living space. Ants all over the place. The dishes that were put away were dirty. A real treat to be able to bring our dog on vacation, and North Shores is a special neighborhood. The house itself is in DESPERATE need of some TLC. Both showers leak - no matter how hard the faucets are turned off, they still drip; that issue - combined with the lack of AC - make the bathrooms somewhat gross and sauna-like (not in a good way). The new W/D units are a welcome addition, as is the newer fridge in the screen porch. If the water issues were addressed, we’d stay there again. ##### Adam C. We love it. Very convenient and quiet. Beach is great and easy access. Although the layout of the house worked very well for our family, 4 adults and 3 kids under 10, we were disappointed in the trash around the property, no instructions regarding trash day or checkout procedures, closets filled with detritus leaving no room for suitcases, disgusting bathroom fixtures, blown lightbulbs, and basically an unkempt vibe.
