This hotel was dirty poo in toilet scum on taps unfriendly staff, lots of migrants walking around with takeaway cartons and lounging in reception, felt very intimidated and uncomfortable my friends anxiety hit the roof as we felt very unsafe, checked straight back out and booked another hotel

I stayed in room 27 for the first two days then moved to room 24. I told the reception staff that there was a insect infestation problem in the shower unit of room 27 on 5/10/22 before I left for the day. When I returned I was told the unit had been sprayed and the electrical socket which was not working had also been repaired. I again reported there were insects in the shower and a receptionist took a not very clear video of the creature. For my last night at the hotel I was in room 24 there was no issue with that room that I found.

If this is Best would hate to stay at the worst!
Incredibly rude staff. 4 payments taken for 2 nights. Ignored by staff at breakfast - not sure they understood us or other guests. All hot food cold including bacon which was fried thin deli ham! Smallest room I have ever stayed in. Parking used by staff, no room for residents. Decor needs more than a refresh. Not what expected from Best Western.

Checked in, reception area dirty, my room was in seperate building across the road. When i found my room (At basement level) there was barely any natyral daylight, it was terribly dates, and my neighbours were smoking weed with their door open. I reported this to the hotel and told them.i wakted to check out, i had checked in 5 minutes earlier. They offered me another room but i dodnt feel.comfortable staying. The room wasnt used at all. They refused a refund! Stating as i had checked in they dodnt have to refund me. Shambolic, horrible area, dirty. Do not stay!!!

I am totally disappointed with the service given in this place. Its the worst I have ever received. Paid over £110 arrived at 9pm for 1 night stay and was told if I don't pay a deposit I can't stay. Room was so small they told me that's all the have. I challenged it and said thats not what I paid for. The change it to another and I just got fed up can't be asked . Next day can u do my refund. It will come in 3 days. Till now my refund is not back. Its pending on my credit card as they won't claim it nor refund it. Its a total shamble never again. I want a refund back and my deposit back

I booked standard doubleroom on expedia but i was given a small double room and after complaining i was told that i booked small room and i even showed them my booking details but lady at reception called ‘Anna’ just shrugged her shoulders, they gave us bit better room after complaining but it was very hot day and room was boiling and I requested a fan and i was told that they do have fans available and they will send it to our room after few hours of waiting and sitting in hot room i went to reception just tofind out that they don’t have any fans left, i had to go out to buy 1 for myself, awful customer service and not helpful staff

Mind the doors
Bit shocked to have a £50 damage deposit held not sure I saw that in the small print. Room ok, too many light bulbs and being ground floor a limiter on the window would have been good so we could sleep with the windows open. Our room was next to the main entrance and other guest let the door slam, not really the hotels fault but maybe a soft close door would be better or ban inconsiderate guests. Overall for the price it was ok, staff were lovely.

Location is great, three minutes from the station.The room was clean and tidy though a little cramped for a family room. The location of the room however was awful. It was in the annex on the ground floor right next to the entrance door, therefore whenever anybody entered or left you could hear everything, footsteps, cases being pulled, conversation, and people stood outside the door smoking at all hours the night. It's quite amazing how inconsiderate people can be. The breakfast room was quite small and couldn't cope with many people at one time. Full english breakfast was without bacon for the duration. Trying to get your breakfast was awkward due to being a very small space, one at a time.

Upon arrival I was told they did not have a room for me. I was sent to another location ( serviced apt) the location was terrible and took me 30 minutes to find somewhere to park. When entering the room I was allocated it was very warm and the patio door was open when inspecting the outside I discovered it was a shared area with everyone else! Anyone could have got into my room before my arrival. I felt extremely unsafe. There was no other way of cooling the room. The room itself was substandard. Ripped curtains, stains on surfaces and broken furniture. I left immediately and informed the receptionist of my findings and feelings. I was unable to make contact with any staff members from the best western being told there was no one with authorisation to help me. When I call the next day (2 night booking) to ask if my second night would be the same they said yes and I would yet again be sent to another location. As this was totally unacceptable I requested a refund and was again told this could not be authorised as there was not a manager to do so.

The sink in the bathroom was very small and had a shelf just abive it so it was very difficult to wssh your face or brush teeth. Banged head on shelf. The photos on the website did not show the bathroom like we got otherwise we woujdnt have booked. The noise is easily heard from other rooms and we did not get z goid nights sleep as domeone kept coughing all night and tgen early morning people were having conversatiin on thete phones which was also disturbing.

I secured a "Superior" room at Best Western Ilford through Expedia. When my wife and I arrived in the evening, the front desk clerk seemed to have a hard time finding my booking. She then said she needed to take an additional £50 "cleanliness" deposit on the card through which the room was booked. I stepped out to get my wife and bags from the car, and when we returned to the desk, the clerk says "there is a maintenance problem with your room" and then she sends us across the street to The Lucky Eight hotel "with whom we have made an arrangement", but which is very sketchy looking. The room was tiny (barely a foot on either side of the less-than-double-width bed) and it was dirty, smelled very musty with peeling paint and marks on the walls and a soiled box spring mattress. The bathroom smelled of mould, and I had to go and request a second towel, even though it was supposedly a double room. The pillows were flat and hard, which just added to the charm of the undersized bed for the two of us. There was a single small window, which looked out on a roof which was covered in rubbish and cigarette butts. Overall, I would have preferred to have been back in a military tent on the edge of the airfield in Qatar during the war than in this scuzzy flea trap. Absolutely my worst experience with Expedia and Best Western. I will never voluntarily stay in a Best Western hotel again - ever - and I will happily dissuade any friends and family from doing the same.

Don't go near it
Do not book this place... Not sure what this place is but lots of people hanging around, I'm not racist in any way but lots of Eastern European men hanging around. My three day day was spoiled completely by a Friday night of people shouting, fighting and making loads of noise from 11pm until 6.30am, no sleep on last night, room smelt of smoke when I checked in. As a person who travels and writes reviews from 5 star to basic hotels, this is one of the worst I have stayed at.

Revolting
Absolutely terrible! I was told to go accross the road to a different hotel which was not what I had not booked called Lucky 8. More like unlucky 8. There was no one at reception for 20 minutes finally he returned and when I said I had been waiting 20 minutes he told me I was lieing! There were empty shampoo bottles in the shower and the blinds were covered in mould. Avoid.
