Pleasant villas close to the beach.

Posted 01-Feb-2016
Pros: Comfort convenience and helpful staff.
Cons: Nothing really-----but it is quiet. Some might prefer an island bar etc.
Location: There are small shops and cafes and resorts nearby. If you want a relaxing holiday this is a great spot.
Villas are clean and comfortable and simply but adequately furnished. Each unit is private and has it's own deck and BBQ. There is also a public space with a swimming pool. It's also convenient to travel by the local bus.

No frills but good location

Posted 11-Jan-2016
Pros: + Location + Free water & water sports equipment
Cons: Handling of situation during public holidays. Works like clockwork when staff around - not so well when management are away
Location: - Do catch the Te Vara Nui cultural show - Muri night markets also a good place to get inexpensive food if your don't feel like cooking
The villas are in need of upgrade as the fittings are a bit tired. That aside it is very comfortable and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. Good location in Muri close to dairy for groceries and also lots of takeaways/restaurants near by. We had an issue with being assigned the wrong villa and staff were not at hand to assist but once that was sorted the rest of the stay was very nice. Free drinking water available, snorkeling and kayaking as well. Small enough so you feel you have your own space. Pity about the check in experience but i would still recommend and would look to go back.

Enjoyable

Posted 30-Nov-2015
Pros: Staff very helpful, and location was great. Had all that we needed. for our family. Very good place to relax and do nothing if you wanted to.
Cons: Some more flyscreens on windows and flyscreen doors so can have doors open Villa 7. A clothes rack for washing as clothesline small.
Location: Easy walk to local store, hiring of scooter/car, atm and buggy trail ride, over water show complex, nice food outlets, souvenir shop, wifi/phone shop
First time in Rarotonga, chose Manea due to location and had aircon. Location was great and our villa had all that we needed for cooking. The lagoon access, onsite pool, kayaks and snorkeling gear certainly helped keep my family busy. It was nice to walk the beach in the evening. Its free laundry facility and phone to call locally added to the appeal of this place. As we were in Villa 7 away from the lagoon breeze, it could get stuffy when we had to close doors/windows due to mozzies so a fan or aircon could definitely be helpful in the living area. Had fans in the downstairs bedrooms with the upstairs bedroom having the aircon. (my parents were happy). 2 ensuites made life very easy also.

Much better than staying at a big resort!!!

Posted 03-Nov-2015
We chose Manea to have some peace and quiet away from the resorts and it turned out perfect! Our cottage was comfortable with all amenities (kitchen, terrace, tourist information), nice pool area and sea-kayak for guest use, stunning beach right on your doorstep, helpful owner, and above all the perfect place to relax!!!

Beautiful lagoon views and friendly staff

Posted 28-Oct-2015
Pros: Great location, friendly staff, good pool and lagoon access, kayaks and BBQ facilities.
Location: Great access to the lagoon and some good local restaurants and cafe's. There are scooter and car hire places very close.
The Manea villas was fantastic for our family. We booked there for a wedding and loved waking up to the pristine water views. Our extended family stayed in the bigger water front villa (2-3 bedrooms) and we had communal meals there most days. The kayaks and pool were great and the BBQs were good for breakfasts and dinners. The laundry facilities were free and very good however you won't need much in terms of clothes as shorts and t-shirt will cover most activities. There is a good café (LBV) about 300m from the villas and a couple of convenience stores very close. The bedroom in the 1 bedroom villa is a little small when you add a portable cot but the air-con was great to take the heat out of the room at night. Overall we loved our stay.

The most perfect honeymoon!!!

Posted 07-Oct-2015
We stayed in villa 4 after being picked up from the airport, where we were 20m from the beach front and had everything we needed. We were on our honeymoon and didn't have much money to spend, and it worked extremely well for us as if we wanted to go for dinner or go to the shops or go on one of the main attraction tours it was all only five minutes walk away. We would definitely stay here again, the staff and managers were so friendly and helpful it made the perfect trip for us. Thanks guys!!!!!!!

poor condition but great location

Posted 04-Oct-2015 on Hotels
One sofa was broken; two broken floorboards that trapped my daughters foot, showers filled with water when used so got very dirty during our 8 day stay; dirty under beds and behind doors; downstairs fans couldnt be used as they were dangerously low and my son trapped his hand twice; bbq in poor condition; no view as immediately next to an electricity substation; cooker hob in poor condition; bed comfy; good fans upstairs; fabulous location in muri beach

Location: Lagoon, swimming, kayaking, nice area of Muri beach to explore.
