Terrible place

Posted 17-Apr-2016
We were in a room directly across from the Tiki Bar. The loud music lasted until 11 pm. Then, it was loud voices and motorcycles until after midnight. Not good when you must be up by 5 am for a fishing trip. The door to the room was rusty and needed paint. The AC was rusty. The walls were cracked, scuffed and had mold in places. The coffee pot did not work. There was a plastic cap stuck down in the bathroom sink so it drained too slow. At $173 a night this was far worse than any $70 I night hotel that we have ever stayed at. I recommend people stay away. Do not believe the website that states the rooms are all remodeled. If they were, it was many, many years ago.

Dive and snorkel resort

Posted 20-Mar-2016
It is a dive and snorkel resort and is great for those activities. If you want a spa and waitiers at the pool go to Key West.

Place very noisy, and dirty.

Posted 02-Mar-2016
Pros: In fact, I didN't appreciate this place at all.
Cons: I think this place should be more in line with customer requirments
Location: There is not that much to do around this place if you are note a diver.
The place is near a bar where there are paties going on at night. The room was dirty. The furniture is in bad condition

Pros: Absolutely nothing
Cons: The whole place needs renovated
Location: Not on inlet and it's a diving center and also a dive
I have already sent an email concerning this hotel. It's a dump and never should have been recommended to me. Drove all the way down the Keys to this place which was full of low life characters . Room was in terrible shape, new bed and new flat screen t.v. Doesn't make a room. Smoking people everywhere and it filtered into rooms, noise at all hours of nite. I believe I should have a refund from you, Expedia. $145 a nite was way out of line for this place. Do not believe I will trust you again to book a room for me.

Well situated to explore the lower keys

Posted 23-Feb-2016
Pros: The tiki bar was the best thing about our stay. The service and company found in the bar were excellent.
This motel fit our budget but unfortunately, there was a lot to be desired with the stay. Whe you closed the entry door, there was a significant gap around the frame which let in light and a lot of sound. To close the door and lock it, you had to slam it shut which undoubtedly disturbed our neighbours. There were menus for the tiki bar in the room and they were plastered with food- never to be touched again during our stay. If you enjoy a very soft bed, then these beds will please you. Bring earplugs if you want to fall asleep before 10:30-11 pm when the live music shuts down in the tiki bar.

Right on the canal

Posted 16-Feb-2016
Pros: Tiki bar, pool, price, right on the canal.
Location: Diving, swimming, tiki bar
We come here every year in Feb. The room we were in this year is right on the canal. You can walk out the back door and jump on the dive boat. There is a tiki bar and a pool. Everybody that works here is chill. They are pet friendly and were all so sweet to my dachshund!

Nice staff, helpful

Posted 15-Feb-2016
Pros: staff
Massive Tiki bar plays non stop until 10:15pm. Great music, don't expect to sleep through it. Not a luxury place but clean and comfortable, 30 minute drive to Key West. Head out early to key west to get decent parking and spend the day.

Biking the Florida Keys

Looe Key was a no frills hotel. Few amenities, flat awful pillows. The outside is very rundown. Despite it being old and run down it was very clean. If you are looking for a modestly priced one night stay this is the place. I wouldn't call it a resort.
