"Great time. Enjoyed a meal in the Rib room. Spa facilities were super and definitely great getting us ready for a wedding, also dealing with the consequences from the wedding. "
"What a superb stay- the room was a good size with a large bathroom, the food menu was good and overall service was superb. I look forward to staying here again."
"Lovely, quiet hotel close to old Durham. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and particular kudos to those working the evening shift in the restaurant and bar."

"Staying in the castle was an amazing experience. For those that expect modern facilities, please keep in mind that this is a very old castle that has been retrofitted.
I would like a request special recognition to go to Stef and Lorraine, these ladies were warm, welcoming, and just all around wonderful!!! Please recognize them for their warm and generous style! Stef, please keep in touch! We had heard the castle was haunted and our friends traveling with us did experience some ghostly activity, I was jealous :-)"

"It’s a lovely hotel and very convenient stop. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
We only had breakfast but it was delicious and plenty of it. The decor was lovely but needed a bit of tidying and the vase on the table needed a clean. I’m not keen on fake flowers which gather dust and the winter sun shows the glass vase needing a polish.
I’m being picky hoping I’m being helpful. It was a fab stay and I thoroughly recommend it and would stay again. "
