The room was large, bright, and clean. Great location just across the street from the medina and 10-15 minute walk to the Kasbah, Hassam Tower, Rabat-Ville train station. When the wifi did not work in my initial room, the guy at the front desk immediately offered to change my room and the wifi worked perfectly in the new room all throughout my four day stay. The woman at the front desk was also always polite and helpful. I really enjoyed sitting on the balcony, watching the sunset over the medina and it was magical when there was a call to prayer. Yes, the tub, toilet, and sink were pink (as some others have noted) but really!! they all worked with good hot water and pressure. Air conditioning worked perfect as well. To sum up, great front desk staff and I would definitely stay again. Just like the front desk woman said to me with a smile on check-out..."a la prochaine"

Good size rooms
It was good size room and balcony. We had 3 beds instead of 2. There was a market with fresh juices two seconds walk. Lots of food around. The hotel breakfast was ok not the best I've had. Staff friendly and helpful. Especially a staff member Yasin he spoke good English and was super helpful.

The Worst Place
the bouregreg hotel is no more than a very low rated b&b,the place is located in an extremely area of the capital, the bathroom walls covered with mold, air condition system is very loud and steressing, the staff have no professional knowledge.everything is done amateurishly, breakfast is a take it or leave it affair, dirty cracked and chipped crockery, never any juice fruit or any item i would consider suitable for breakfast, bread cakes and biscuits.never once that there someone to greet you in the morning when one enters the so called restaurant.staff sitting behind a screen talking loudly about private matters,as i said ,all of unprofessional attitude and aptitude, dirty scruffy uniforms.I am a professional hotelier, with over 30 years experience,i instructed students in customer service and proficient service delivery.this was my worst stay experience and i travel a lot.

Excellent value, close to train, shopping & beach
What I liked most was the Central easy location. About a 15 minute walk to the train station through shopping area or the other direction 15 minute walk to the ocean. Some very good restaurants also easy walking distance. Great selection of breakfast breads but light on proteins. Mattress was ok, not great. Staff are friendly and helpful. Building shows it’s age. But quaint design, especially the central fountain sitting area.

Clean, simple, and old
Hotel looks like its out of the 1930's. Clean, even if dated. Staff was very kind and helpful. Hot water was inconsistent--two out of the four mornings I had a hot shower. The other two mornings it was slightly warm once and the other morning the shower was cool. Breakfast each morning included a large assortment of sweet pastries, sweetened yogurt, and coffee. Some mornings there were a few hard boiled eggs and unsweetened rolls. One morning there was juice. The location is fantastic--across from Old City, beside a grande taxi station, near tram and train station. The WIFI did not reach my room which was at the end of the hall. I had an inside room so did not have a lot of noise from the outside. For the price and location, I would definitely use this again.

Value for my money but improvements needed
This was my 2nd visit. I stayed 29 days and so could not choose anything pricey. I had good value for my money although much improvement is needed with good management. A brave team at Reception put up with the guests' complaints. They were always as helpful and understanding as they could. But they are not responsible for the hotel's policies and finances. The bread-and-butter of the hotel seems to be busloads of passing tourists who spend one night on their way to somewhere. Downside of this is that they never bother to complain if things are unclean or broken. I wiped off quite a lot of dust from the drawers each time I checked into a room. I showed a picture of this at reception. Rooms are regularly serviced but the level of service varies from day to day. The maid on my floor (her name is Najjad) was less than useful and I welcomed her days off. I gather she has two years left to retirement. I complained that she insisted on barging into rooms to change towels whereas others would knock. I told her to do same. A complimentary free breakfast is made up mainly of pastries and cakes (often not fresh) and after 3-4 weeks I was craving cereals, milk and toast. Again one for the 'directeur de l'hotel'. One individual in the restaurant (his name's Anwar) amused himself by keeping the buffet area in the dark. He would sit in a dark corner and watch us pick our breakfast in near-darkness. Sadly these 'dark' mornings coincided with the absence of the 'passing white tourists'!!

Abhorrant Customer Service
I arrived in the evening, and the receptionist would not accept my App booking (from hotels.com). She then told me 'as a favour' she would let me into my room but I'd need to go out and print my reservation. It was 8pm on a Monday, and I was only in Rabat one night, so I asked her the following. Can't I just show you the reservation email? (no), do you have an email address i can send this to for you to print at your earliest? (no), Do you understand i'm here for only one evening and I don't want to spend the evening looking for a printer? (looks blankly at me), Do you know where there is a printer near here? (no). I then asked to speak with a manager, and she proceeded to start speaking to my Fiancee in arabic and ignoring me thinking somehow this was the correct way to deal with this - and putting my (moroccan) financee in a tricky situation. It ended up where I had to message hotels.com multiple times (after spending an hour unsuccessfully looking for a printer), and they were able to do exactly what the receptionist should have done in the first place - Contacted the manager, got their email, sent a copy of the booking, and got everything resolved. - I've come to morocco for over a decade - this is not cultural differences or language issues, this was someone who thought she could speak down to a guest and wasn't prepared to be told she was incorrect. I will never stay here again and given the abundance of hard working bi-lingual moroccans, I hope she is replaced

I stayed here in order to be able to walk to all of the sights in Rabat, and access the train station. The staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable. The area can be a little noisy because it is so central but all of the necessary ammenities are on hand and it is a very convenient location. It is opposite the medina, next to a taxi rank, almost next to a park, a short walk from Hassan's tower and the mausoleum of Mohammed V, the river, the fortress, not too far from the beach, and is within walking range of the rabat ville train station. Couldn't ask for a better place to base yourself.

Does the trick!
The hotel is functional. For a stay over somewhere to lay your head at night and have a hot shower it does the trick. If your a light sleeper avoid! Its located in the hustle n bustle of a busy street with a big nousy taxi rank next door and late night music from the downstairs hall. Breakfast is very basic not amazing. Overall was pretty good for me

I asked for a single room with just one bed. This is what I booked. When I arrived they told me that there was no single room for me, they gave me instead a room with two very small beds. I couln't sleep well. Besides internet was available only in the lobby. Only one plug worked, so the clients had to wait till the plug was free to connect the computer.

Stay in the heart of Rabat
This is a very clean older property located on a busy street directly across from the old Medina. Within a taxi ride away from all other attractions and the train station. The rooms are large & well-appointed but the windows are not triple glazed and allow in street noise. The staff is accommodating. There is one bellman who is particularly notable for his hard work, speed, and efficiency. The restaurant could be better. The included breakfast was sufficient but they ran out of some menu items at dinner.

Just fine hotel near medina & garden
This hotel is just fine, not exciting but more than adequate. I appreciated the full bathtub! Breakfast buffet disappointing--better to walk down to the Café 7eme Art for a nice breakfast. Great location across from the medina & near the Kasbah & river. Tram stop very close to hotel.

Some improvements but keep it up
I read the reviews before I went. I'm happy to say that there have been improvements although there is still more to be done. Staff was friendly and obliging. I objected to smoking being allowed in common areas. I found only 3 tv channels speaking English or French while the remaining 'hundreds' spoke only Arabic. The hotel seems to cater mainly for bus-loads of one-nighters who had stopped on their tour. That was not a problem and I would happily stay there again.

Apparently some lack of effort...
Smelly and somewhat run down. No Wifi in the 2 rooms we tried, connection in lobby pretty spotty. Busloads of all-inclusive tourists staid during our first night, breakfast next morning was a disaster, although far from great also the next day without their impact. Only positive is location right at Medina wall and next to tram station - we used free street parking 2 stations further west.

Rabat
Rabat - you can see all you would want to see in 2 days. Even Casa Blanca - an hour train trip away, you wouldn't want to spend more then half a day visiting. Rabat is not really geared up for tourism, there is not really a lot to see. An holiday longer then a couple of days you would begin to get bored The plus side , 2 people can eat reasonable well for about £4 /£5 for 2 meals If you want to visit Morocco for a weeks holiday , I recommend you go to Marrakech. The Souk there is quite an eye opening experience, The square outside the Souk in the evening is quite entertaining - snake charming and other events Plus there is various buildings of interest to visit

Well worth a stay, in acceptable condition.
The short version is that the place could definitely use refurbishing, but the location and the price was better than most other hotels in central Rabat. So, overall this was a quite good choice, with which we were happy. We booked a triple; the room was spacious and had a balcony overlooking one of the main streets. We especially enjoyed the coffee shop immediately to the right upon leaving the hotel, as well as watching some kids’ soccer games across the street, visible from our small balcony. The air conditioning is OK. It’s cool in the part of the room where the a/c is actually blowing, but the machine’s capacity would be smaller than needed for the room size on a really hot day. The staff was friendly though sometimes a bit overwhelmed. Breakfast is uninspired--various kinds of rolls, mostly sweet, that are either stale or at least very dry, and some coffee that could be hotter. Occasionally some yogurt. (Given that it's hard to get a beer in Morocco, the bar is a plus but has limited hours.) I haven’t spent enough time in Morocco to know what’s standard; this was a good price compared to other hotels in Rabat's center, but for instance if I were paying the same price for a U.S. motel, I’d be disappointed with the condition of the room. But it was fine and was a great location for a visit to Rabat. By the way, Rabat is a nice, manageable introduction to Morocco; I greatly preferred it to the chaos and aggressive hucksterism of Marrakech.
