Castello Vicchiomaggio is the place to stay for the ultimate Tuscany experience. The property is absolutely beautiful and the pool is a refreshing oasis. The restaurant was delicious as well - one of our best meals in Italy! We hope to return again someday.

Beautiful stay in a beautiful place
Absolutely loved staying here! The property is beautiful, the rooms are very large and the staff is great. The food is ok and the beds aren't great, but overall highly recommend staying here. The pool is absolutely amazing as are the views. Can't beat em!

The property is amazingly beautiful. Everything was meticulous, including the castle and the grounds. The food was delicious. We had daily breakfast, one dinner in the dining room as well as a picnic that was perfectly prepared for us. What impressed me most,however, was the people. When I think back about the castle, that is what comes into my head first. They took SUCH good care of us in every way. We arrived late and the restaurant was closed so they prepared us sandwiches. They prepared a beautiful picnic for our dinner one evening and when we had transportation issues, they went above and beyond to help us. I would love to go back!

A truly special place!
My partner and I stayed at Castello Vicchiomaggio for a couple of nights during a 2-week trip through Italy. It was everything we dreamed of and more! The vibe and ambiance at the castello was great, and the views are simply incredible. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable, with a lovely view across the vineyard. The food was amongst the very best we had across our whole time in Italy. The lunch menu was particularly excellent value for money and tasted amazing. We went on Castello Vicchiomaggio's wine tour, and this was a highly recommendable experience. The wine produced on this Chianti estate is amazing, and to learn about the wine and the estate was so interesting. My partner and I got engaged at this stunning place, and it couldn't have been more perfect. Delfina made this most magical moment possible, and I can't emphasise enough how helpful and hospitable she was both ahead of and during our stay. All of the staff were so friendly and profession, and this only added to our amazing stay. We will certainly be back in the future, and this place will forever hold a special place in our heart.

We stayed here for 2 nights on our honeymoon and were blown away with the views and grounds of this property. We had a 1 bedroom apartment which was VERY spacious! We enjoyed time by the pool and lunch in the garden - the lunch was amazing! We HIGHLY recommend joining the Monday night vineyard tour, wine tasting and dinner in the ballroom. It was one of our favourite experiences from our trip, and it was very affordable! Our tour guide, Ines, was charismatic and engaging - we absolutely loved her. She even made recommendations for restaurants for the rest of our trip and we had one of our BEST meals at one of her recommendations. We will DEFINITELY be staying here on our next trip to Tuscany!

Best views in all of Tuscany, the restaurant was amazing and Marco did a great job playing the piano as we ate. Pool and a spectacular view. 10/10 would recommend it to anyone.

the Castello was amazing so peaceful and in touch with nature the staff A1 for us it was very conveniently located if we only knew of its magic we would have stayed a few days more for sure will make it up on our next trip those 2 nights spent at the V will and always be the highlight of our trip

This was a memorable stay at a castle! First, it was cool to stay at this castle. Next, the Family Apartment was tremendous (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, huge living area). Next, you have to eat dinner at their restaurant - it seems everyone who stayed there did so also - and it was the best night of our trip. The pool was great (quiet, not a party area, no bar, etc). The grounds are great to walk around, sit on a bench, enjoy the views, take pics, relax, have a drink, go wine tasting, etc.) The beds weren't too comfortable but it wasn't a big deal.

This castle was amazing and beautifull. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful . We did a wine tour with Ines. Super sweet ad funny guide with a great personality. Our tour Included dinner. That was a great surprise. Our waiter Marcos played the piano and that was one of the highlights of our stay.

Infinity" pool overlooking the vineyards
We have enjoyed the Tuscan country! The hotel did not disappoint. Very relaxing atmosphere, beautiful "infinity" pool overlooking the vineyards. Bed was not the most comfortable but can overlook that considering all. Breakfast was pretty good as well and was included.

Exceeded all our expectations.
Service was extremely professional. We arrived late due to bad traffic but they were waiting for us to check-in and reserved us table for dinner. Food is amazingly delicious - try their own Chianti wine. We couldnt join their tours but definitely recommend it. The room was tidy and spacious, the service and level of hospitality was beyond our expectations. Staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The view and surrounding are gorgeous. The location f the castello allows you to travel in entire Chianti region and examine their great wines and picturesque nature.

Beautiful Castle, Great Value and Views!
Really beautiful castle in the Greve area. We drove to Greve city center in a matter of minutes and had great food and shopping! This was one of my favorite stays in Tuscany. Our stay was such a great value! Be sure to check out the dinner availability as they are closed some nights. Lunch I believe was everyday. We did dinner one night and everything was really good!

This is an outstanding property from the employees to the beautiful hotel itself. This is the 3rd time I have stayed here. The view from the pool is amazing. Just wish they offered drinks and food at the pool. Innes, at the wine shop, was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We shipped many bottles of their fine wine back to the states. Highly recommend staying there. Wish we had spent several days enjoying it. I will be back!

The property and ambiance is breathtaking. However, this is a very remote property, no bellboys, staff was not friendly. Dinner is offered only on certain days, forcing you to go in town for dinner, which normally would not be an issue at any other resort. The issue here is for a non-resident, driving up the narrow, winding roads in the dark could be a daunting task. There are no phones in the rooms, and reception closes before 6:00, making you wonder how quickly emergency help would arrive if required.

Gorgeous property quite close to the main town. Superb spot to relax and lay by the pool. We did the Wednesday night wine dinner which was WELL worth the money. The dinner was incredible, the staff were lovely and Marco playing the piano made the night magical.

An amazing property in a truly fabulous location. Unfortunately for us though, the property didn't live up to it's potential. The buffet on the first night was very poor and the breakfast wasn't much better. The internet connection was terrible (could be down to location, but we really needed to be able to use our email) and there was no bar available for guests. The actual property has so much character and is in a phenomenal location but needs to be given a new lease of life.

There was no lift, traveling for two weeks with quite a bit of luggage I had to carry it myself up the castle steps to the room from the car wasn’t easy
