Learn more about Qadah

Head to Khasab Fort and Khasab Beach—just two of the sights around Qadah.

If you continue through the village of Qadah, you will find yourself on a road through farmland. It is very green and pretty. Continue on the road up the wadi (dry riverbed) until you are almost at the end of the road - you end up in Tawi village and there is a wall of mountains in front of you. On the left hand side of the road, just before a large white house (from memory after a white house too), there are ancient petroglyphs carved into the rocks. There is a fairly open space with a tumble of rocks and some are on these and some on the rock face behind or next to them...

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Qadah?
The best area to stay in Qadah is along the scenic coastline, particularly within the dedicated resort areas that offer exclusive access to the Gulf of Oman.

This region is primarily a resort destination, meaning most visitors will be staying within one of the established hotel properties. These resorts are designed to be self-contained, offering a full range of facilities, dining options, and activities directly on site. They are generally spread out along the coast, providing stunning sea views and a sense of seclusion.

Couples seeking a tranquil and luxurious escape will find these resort areas ideal. The focus is on relaxation, with private beaches, infinity pools, and high-quality spas often available. Many resorts offer bespoke dining experiences and excursions directly from their premises, such as dhow cruises or snorkelling trips in the clear waters, making it easy to enjoy the natural beauty of Musandam.

Families looking for a convenient and activity-rich holiday will also appreciate the resort environment. These properties often feature dedicated children's clubs, family-friendly pools, and a variety of supervised activities, ensuring entertainment for all ages.
When is the best time to go to Qadah?
The best time to visit Qadah is during the cooler months, from October to April.

During these months, the daytime temperatures are pleasant, typically ranging from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius, which is ideal for outdoor activities. This period avoids the intense heat of the summer, making it great for exploring the fjords, enjoying boat trips, and relaxing by the water.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will find these months particularly appealing. The comfortable weather allows for leisurely dhow cruises through the stunning Musandam fjords, snorkelling in clear waters, and enjoying evenings under the stars without the stifling heat. Many resorts offer special experiences during this peak season.

For families, the cooler season provides the best conditions for outdoor adventures. Children can comfortably enjoy swimming, beach activities, and exploring the natural beauty of the area without the risk of overheating.
