"We had a great stay at Casa Escondida. It is in an area being developed as a gated community with only one other home so far that was unoccupied, so we felt nice and isolated. There is construction noise but it was never too bad or too early. If you are there when they are falling trees, like we were one day, the noise from the chainsaw will be terrible but we left for the day and they were gone when we returned. Thankfully, that never happened again while we were there. The house is spacious, modern and well designed. It had very comfortable beds and pillows, large closets, bedrooms and bathrooms. It was terrific having the pool. We used it as much as we could considering it was the rainy season. The A/C in the bedrooms was quiet and worked great, wifi is strong and the kitchen is well appointed. The sliding doors are accordion which was a nice surprise. It gave a wonderful indoor/outdoor feel. The host also provided a mid wk clean -that was a lovely bonus. The nature experience was the best. There are a multitude of animals at the house. From our yard we saw macaws, howler monkeys, tucans, parrots, exotic frogs and so many different bird species. You will absolutely need a 4x4 vehicle that can manage a steep climb up to the house. The road is beat up by the construction delivery trucks so it's not a smooth way up. Also, if you arrive at night know that it is pitch dark. Overall...we loved our stay, found the house very comfortable and the host responsive."

"The property is great, well maintained, staff amazing, just steps from the ocean, matter of fact you can hear the waves. The only thing for me was not TV in the room but other than that everything amazing!! Good selection of breakfast."

"The most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed. There has been a sloth in the tree ten feet from the kitchen for the last few days. It’s even nicer than the pictures. AC works so well. I will be sending friends and hopefully coming back soon."

"This was our favorite place we’ve ever stayed! I’ve never been more relaxed sitting on the balcony, drinking coffee in the morning. The view is beautiful and the surrounding plants are beautiful. Everything on the property is meticulously maintained and the pool is great! I hope to return one day!"

"Ein typisches karibisches Strandhaus mitten in der Natur. Kein Luxus, kein Schnickschack, aber unglaublich authentisch und direkt am Meer. Herzliche Begrüssung bei der Ankunft und sogar Spiele für die Kinder sind vorhanden. Wer naturverbunden ist und ruhige, unkomplizierte Tage verbringen möchte, ist hier richtig. Agoutis, Kolibris, Faultiere und Affen sind direkt im Garten zu beobachten, wunderschön."

"The house was beautiful. Wonderful location. Safe and clean. The only complaint is that the stay is advertised to have air conditioning however only one of the two bedrooms has this (the room with the double bed and NOT the room with the double and single bed). This was not an issue for my partner and I as we only used the one room but if travelling in a bigger group it would become an issue."
