Very moldy smell and the bedding was damp. The hotel has humidifiers but none had been in this room for a while.
We changed room at Midnight on our second night as in the end as it was so bad. Staff dealt with it well, however was not happy that we paid for this upgraded room and they would not reimburse us due to the hassle and terrible room experience. If you go here make sure it has a humidifier and doesn't smell. If it does- as to move ASAP. Everyone else was FANTASTIC.
Imanta Resorts - January 14 - 18, 2016
Imanta Resort is a world-class escape, and ranks top of any resort (even Bora Bora) I’ve had the pleasure to experience. The location, staff, and feel, is magical. You are greeted by name, and there are no receipts to sign, it’s done seamlessly while you are at the resort. A stay at Imanta is a true escape to relaxation and imagination. The sunsets are beautiful, and the canopy of stars greets you each evening like an old friend. The rolling Pacific waves rumble ashore in a rhythmic cadence which lulls you into a deep sense of wonderment.
The hotel is in a Golf property that houses two hotels, the "Iberostar playa mita" (another hotel which looks more "common" i.e. more like the all inclusive type, it looked more crowded and not that special at least from the outside) and "La Tranquila".
The Tranquila areas are beautiful and very well kept, staff is very profesional and courteous, room was very spacious and had excellent distribution including a bath tub inside and a small two person pool on the outside terrace overlooking the hotel areas and sea.
What i really liked was that the hotel was not crowded with people, there was almost no one there when you went out to the pools or sea, no music playing or when they did have some it was only in certain areas and very soft so you would hardly notice it.
The pools are so big you can be on one side and not even know who might be swimming on the other end, the beach area is very clean, well kept and you would have it all to yourself, some people walking by from the other hotels in the area but it is great if you like to have the beach to yourself.
The pool restaurant staff was very attending but at the same time they were not all over you trying to force any food or drinks, food was not A+ but not bad at all, i'm a vegan so i didnt eat much, if you're a meat/fish eater the food may be great as the chefs looked like pro's.
Overall great vacation, i would recommend it for adults, i would assume kids would not have as much fun in a quiet, relaxing environment.
The hotel was fantastic. Great staff, awesome room, and in the middle of everything that we needed. The manager Horratio lined up surf trips, boat trips and took care of restaurant reservations. The roof top breakfast with the best view in Punta Mita is a great way to start the day.
Hotel des Artistes located in the Punta de Mita Beach Club and Spa- is a new five star boutique luxury beachfront Hotel …More
We have been to many hotels in Mexico and the St. Regis was at the top of the list. We have stayed there twice and at the Four Seasons in Punta Mita, as well. We are getting the sense that the prospective takeover by Marriott is causing some complacency in the staff and personnel. The staff remains excellent in service and attitude, and the grounds are well cared for, but the rooms are not as impeccable as they used to be. One irritant is that the bedding does not smell fresh and clean.
We make it a point to stay at five-star hotels - e.g. One and Only Palmilla in Cabo, Nizuc resort in Cancun - this one is slipping. That is regrettable.
A very nice hotel but it could certainly use some updating. The bed was very uncomfortable but the staff were fantastic. Food on this side was very good and better than Palladium side. Great views and most days the pool is very quiet and relaxing. The challenge is the people marking chairs and then walking away for the entire day. Why save the chair and take it from someone else???
We took the bus to Punta de Mita from Bucerias, so we walked down the hill into town. We walked past the hotel twice because the sign for the hotel is on a 3 foot tall wall to the side of the entryway to the hotel with a plant in front of it.
At check in the staff were very pleasant.
The price is very reasonable for Pubta de Mita.
Our room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable.
They have a nice pool area with access to the beach.
So Senior is the restaurant at this hotel. The food must be good because it was full when we tried to eat there.
We would stay there again for sure.
We stayed for five days and four nights and it was not enough. Pictures do not make justice to the place. Food is excellent, staff is friendly and knowledgeable, facilities are amazing, and it is a great place overall. The only bad part was when we had to check out. We are returning for sure!
Perched on a peninsula that juts into the Pacific Ocean, Punta Mita offers exquisite beaches and picturesque views of Banderas Bay and the ocean. The highlight of the peninsula is the award-winning Pacifico Golf Course, set amid white-sand beaches and the surrounding Sierra Madres. A variety of prestigious hotels and beach clubs offer visitors tranquility and luxury near the city.
