beautiful room in the castle with private swim up pool- unbelievable service and personal attention- just right in terms of size- not so large that it' feels public - very comfortable beach front loungers and pool loungers- all around wonderful place.

Pros: Absolutely everything, but the best was the food and staff!!!!!!!!!!
Best hotel/resort I have ever been. I don't give them a rating of 5, instead I give them a big 10!!!!!!

Awesome Hotel. But Not for Vegetarian

Pros: The staff is very friendly and smiling always... The rooms are very clean and neatly maintained...The main pool area is very fun......
Cons: More options of food for vegetarians...Plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Location: Cap Cana, is a awesome locality....Neat clean and filled with lush greenery.... Ziplining, ATV rides, Snorkelling and many more...........
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. We had been here for our honeymoon and our 5 nights stay was memorable.... My wife is a vegetarian and I eat only chicken, so the options for food was very limited for us and we had to content with fruits and salads. But the hotel service and quality was beyond our expectation... Awesome place..................

Best experience ever

I can’t describe the feeling. From The staff to the chef , everything was more than I could ever imagine. We are so honored to have shared our first couple vacation with sanctuary. They made ya feel like a family. Chef santos is one of the most beautiful person I’ve encountered in my life. He made my husband and I feel so welcome and always had the best dishes. I can’t express In words how this hotel is and has made us feel. Honestly all I can say is they are the best in service. Our next vacation will definitely be there again. Thank you so much for An amazing experience guys!!! This hotel should be 10 stars.

Awesome Honeymoon

Pros: Just overall service and how beautiful it was with the Spanish type architecture. Everything was super clean.
Cons: A little more entertainment but that is a stretch. Clearly a resort designed for couples and private scene.
Location: We mostly stayed on the resort. Didn't seem like much to do outside. Resort had a ton.
Wonderful time on our honeymoon. We stayed in the Castle Honeymoon Suite with a private balcony pool which was excellent. Perfect for couples. Staff and butler are excellent and always available for anything you need. Provided us endless Champagne and fully stocked bar at all times. The Castle is about a 3-5 minute walk to the main pool and resort area but staying at the Castle is a more private couple experience. The main area and pool are more lively and host all the entertainment. Castle does have a pool area and also is connected to the Spa and Wok restaurant. Our honeymoon suite was great with an amazing view of the ocean (not oceanfront technically). Food was all around great. If you include all of the restaurants at Sanctuary Town, there are almost endless options. The main pool area and beach area are great during the day with beautiful views. Nightly entertainment was also great. We would highly recommend Sanctuary for any couple looking for a great relaxing time with each other. There is great entertainment nightly, a small late night club and late night food but overall it is more of an adult only couples resort. There were groups having a good time but there really is only one main pool area that accommodates a "party" scene, so if that is the type of trip you are looking for, Sanctuary might not be the place. It is more quiet relaxing, feels extremely private even though they were at full capacity, it felt like we were one of only a few there.

Castle Suite with swim up

Best Vacation I ever took!

Pros: Location-we were not near anyother hotel and it wasnt open to the public, you had to have a special pass to get in the gate.
Cons: More staff that speak and understand english!
Location: Kayaking, water sports, shopping, there is a lot of different things to chose from!
This hotel is amazing!! From start to finish you are treated like royalty!!! Everything is literally all inclusive, the only thing that was not included was the spa and lobster but you have so many options you dont care. I recommend traveling with about 50-100 singles for tips for the drinks and dinner. Everything was simply amazing, I will be going back!! There is a photographer that does photos as well from Argentina, he is perfect!!!

Great place for a quiet vacation.

We had a birthday celebration and the staff at the resort really made it special. The place is beautiful and food is amazing. We went in February so it was windy and did not swim much; nevertheless, we highly recommend the resort.

Beautiful Boutique Resort

Pros: Boutique resort! Beautiful grounds, good beach, plentiful pools, and good choices for food.
My husband and I stayed here 2/8-2/13. This is a beautiful resort. Beach is wonderful with very fine sand. The grounds keepers work tirelessly to keep the beach free of debris. Due to the sand being so fine, the water gives off the appearance of being murky. We paid for the Castle Ocean Front Junior Suite, and because the hotel over booked this room category we were switched to a different room. I’m not sure it was the same level that we paid for, but they made it seem as if it was a better room. We were put in the “new” model room, that the other rooms are going to be designed from when they shut down in April. I can tell you, this was not a plus. Nobody knew where our room was. We were definitely not the “first” people to stay in that room as advertised by the concierge, and it was tucked away in a dark corner on the 2nd/3rd floor with no outside lights at the front door or on the balcony. The plus to being moved-we were a lot closer to the restaurants/lobby/pools/beach. Everyone gets a “butler” assigned to them- however I’m not sure what they do. We never met our butler, we finally went to the checkin desk to ask what his name was. The term butler is probably stretching it a bit-from what we saw they really didn’t assist very much. Be prepared to get up early if you want chairs or loungers by the pool/beach, my husband had to get up at 5:40 am to “get chairs” by the pool. Definitely some things to improve on, but all in all, we had a very relaxing vacation.

On the water

Rooms are ok but in severe need of updating. No coffee makers, just espresso, fan did not work in living room, switches, door handles and bathroom floors were dirty. Quality of workmanship on the rooms is very poor. Gaps in doors, Windows ECT. Food is resort food very bland and cheap. It's not all inclusive as the resort says.
