Everything was top notch and the employees were all extremely attentive, friendly and willing to do anything to make our stay exceptional and relaxing. Not one thing to complain about and has to be one of the best resorts out there. We would definitely be back.

This is a huge, beautifully maintained property. The food selections are delicious and fresh. The staff are beyond friendly and fun. Better than any place I’ve ever visited. It’s close to the airport. For an all inclusive, it’s the best one I’ve ever been to.

I loved everything about the property except that the beach is very small and half of it has lots of rocks that can hurt your feet and even make you fall when getting into the water

The Sanctuary is a beautiful meandering resort with multiple different residence types, pools and restaurants. This was our first all-inclusive, adult only resort. We were worried that we would be bored. We were not! Lots to do, or not do as you prefer. We would come back.

My wife and I stayed here for our Babymoon and this place is amazing. We absolutely loved staying here. The food at every location was excellent. The staff is incredibly well trained and are always looking to help us out. There was never any pressure to tip but it was always well appreciated. This was great for us because we had $400 stolen from our bags at the airport (forced to check a carry-on and unfortunately was easy access). Luckily still had $100 to tip. That being said the staff would have earned all $400 from us, so if you can, be generous to them. The site is clean, safe, fun, with tons to do. Exercise room was top notch. Drinks and breakfast/lunches were all perfect. We will definitely be back!

The food at this resort was excellent! Good quality, with lots of variety and options. The service was very good as well. The air conditioning in the rooms, not so good. Lowest setting on the thermostat was 22 C. Usually stayed 23 C in the room with the AC running non stop day and night. The pools and grounds very nice and well kept. The beach there is not for swimming. It is a small area that is rocky. The water is very murky as well. The beach area itself is fine for lounging however.

Overall our stay was enjoyable. Except some miscommunication issues at restaurants. Servers tend to forget to bring what was ordered or bring totally different order, mostly it is regarding drinks. So in my opinion service at restaurants needs better management.

The staff is extremely polite. The dining options could be better though. Majority of the restaurants are available only for dinner, and then have strict dress codes and aren't open every night. Why have a dress code if I am already paying thousands of dollars to be in your all inclusive resort? And why not have all restaurants open daily? Also, for breakfast you only have 2 options - the buffet or room service, and then 3-4 options for lunch. I could never get a reservation for the hibachi at the japanese restaurant, and fusion was closed. Also, they charge you $5 per pizza if you order them to go back to your room or the pool etc. The responsiveness of the staff when calling could be better. Numerous times I would have to call a few times for front desk or room service before anyone would actually answer. And then when you tell them to take your plates/food away from your room from room service, they never came. Would I come back? Yes, but only for the steal of a price I got (about $1500 for 6 nights with an ocean view suite). But at the normal rate which is closer to 5-6K I definitely would not and would consider other resorts.

The resort is good. The grounds and pools are beautiful! The beach is small. The main pool bartender (Manuel) is rude and dismissive. The shower in our room smelled of sewer. Ruby at the beach bar was amazing. The pizza’s are delicious, the sushi was fantastic, and the piano bar was wonderful. I would go back but wouldn’t agree to stay in a smelly room or put up with bad service so I would complain at the property next time.

My biggest regret with the sanctuary cap Cana was that we upgraded rooms to a villa. A big reason we upgraded was due to the love seat swing on the back porch. My wife loved that. After the first day, they took it down and never brought it or a new one back. Really upsetting

The buffet was subpar (you have to select your food choices through a glass partition while an employee puts your plate together and serves to you through a slot in the glass partition). The dining menu options are extremely limited (5 items to choose from max). Not a 5 star. I paid for a beachfront junior king suite and got a poolfront ground level suite with a distant oceanview. I did not appreciate that at all. Property is gorgeous, gym is amazing, pools are abundant and best of all is the staff.
