I was only at the resort for two nights and I did an excursion the full day that I was there, so my experience with Now Larimar is somewhat limited. Check in was effortless and even though my room wasn't ready yet, I was able to go to the buffet for lunch and wander the property afterwards. The grounds are well kept and there was no sign of any damage from the recent hurricanes (Irma & Maria) that had happened weeks before. I do, however, have two complaints that affected my stay. The first is that the lighting in the room was very dim. I understand that being energy efficient is a good thing, but using low wattage lamps behind decorated shades made it very difficult to see. Even with all of the lights on, I still needed the light of my cell phone to read a menu. My other complaint is about the vendors allowed on the property who constantly harass the guests to buy their goods. That was a huge turnoff. Can't relax very well when people keep bothering you. One last thing, not really a complaint, more of a feeling, I was doing a "me" vacation before meeting up with some friends at another resort. Every time I went to a restaurant and asked for a table for one, I got the feeling that people thought it was strange that I was there by myself. I had to explain a couple of times that I was meeting other people later on in my vacation.
