It is ok resort, friendly stuff. Make sure to get the VIP access zones, then you will be fine

Amazing resort

We spent 9 days for our honeymoon at Now Larimar and we couldn’t have the best service ever! Food is amazing, rooms are very big with a big jacuzzy, room service is 24h, pool is not full all the time, a lot of restaurants to choose for and it is very, very clean. It was incredible! Thank you Now Larimar!

Nice resort

99% of the staff was excellent. Most of the bartenders in the lobby lounge at night could care less. They were to busy playing on their phones or with each other. The only real complaint we had was there were a couple of roaches in the room. We told the gentleman at the front desk about it and he said sorry. Other than that (which was a big deal to me) the resort awesome.

Ok hotel, disgusting food

Pros: The hotel staff was nice once I had gone to the front desk to complain.
Cons: The food, the maintenance on the rooms, Our Tv was broken, When you press the front desk button on the phones it sent you to another hotels operator..
Upon arriving to the hotel they did not have me in the room that i had booked. I reserved a room with 2 double beds for my friend and I. When I requested what I had booked the hotel claimed i would need to wait 45 minutes as they would need to clean a room to be ready. I said ok, and waited. Upon returning to the front desk, they still mentioned the room was not ready because they were prepping it for us. After 2 hours of waiting the hotel finally gave us the original room they had booked us in ....1 king bed. When we got to the room the mini bar was not stocked (this was included in the all inclusive package) and the shower had a huge glob of dark brown hair on it. I am blonde and that was disgusting. As we waited all that time i expected the room to be clean....it wasn't. Later that afternoon we went to the buffet to get some food. The choices that they offered looked like it had been sitting out for about 6 hours waiting for people to eat it. Lets just say it was VERY unappetizing. We proceeded to the pool and from there we wanted a drink, the cocktails that were included in the all inclusive were basically juice and no alcohol at all. When we went to the Mexican restaurant on property later the food was even worse than the buffet. We were STARVING at this point. Wanted a good margarita and a meal. We got neither. It was so bad we had to leave. Not sure how you can mess up an easy quesadilla but they did. It was disgusting. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

When it comes to the food, it is sad our dining options were not of your like, nonetheless it is importan to mention that we follow up rigorous quality standards process, as consequence the food placed at the buffet don't stay there for hours and are daily prepared. Related to the room cleanliness, it surprisses us your comment, as it is pretty atypical, although we have feedback the housekeeping team about this regard.

Lovely hotel, staff very friendly and the food offerings are good - proper restaurants as well as buffet also room service menu available. Entertainment in the evenings good

Not my Idea of Ocean Front

Pros: entertainment staff was excellent
Cons: hotel food could improve, the hotel needs renovated as well.
Location: stayed at the resort
We had 3 people (2 rooms), King sized beds, ocean front, preferred club for lots of money! There is no way this hotel is a 4.5 star hotel. Their idea of ocean front was a pool in front of you and then the beach. I at least had the 4th floor, my son was on the 1st floor and his view was blocked by trees for privacy from the pool right in front of him. We did manage to get him moved to the 3rd floor. The hotel needs some updating for sure (broken tiles), ice machine only worked on floors 1 & 2 (not 3 & 4), buffet food was not good at all but the restaurant dinners were pretty good. I felt robbed of my money for spending all of that - I should have loved my room and the hotel itself, very disappointing.

Brief stay

Pros: I think that the hotel staff did a great job with the upkeep of the resort.
Cons: I suggest replacing the lights in the rooms with LED lamps. Much brighter with low wattage. Also, get vendors off of the property.
I was only at the resort for two nights and I did an excursion the full day that I was there, so my experience with Now Larimar is somewhat limited. Check in was effortless and even though my room wasn't ready yet, I was able to go to the buffet for lunch and wander the property afterwards. The grounds are well kept and there was no sign of any damage from the recent hurricanes (Irma & Maria) that had happened weeks before. I do, however, have two complaints that affected my stay. The first is that the lighting in the room was very dim. I understand that being energy efficient is a good thing, but using low wattage lamps behind decorated shades made it very difficult to see. Even with all of the lights on, I still needed the light of my cell phone to read a menu. My other complaint is about the vendors allowed on the property who constantly harass the guests to buy their goods. That was a huge turnoff. Can't relax very well when people keep bothering you. One last thing, not really a complaint, more of a feeling, I was doing a "me" vacation before meeting up with some friends at another resort. Every time I went to a restaurant and asked for a table for one, I got the feeling that people thought it was strange that I was there by myself. I had to explain a couple of times that I was meeting other people later on in my vacation.

nice hotel close to the beach

Pros: the location
Cons: cleaning the rooms a little late sometimes 5pm
Location: you can go to the clothing stores near and a kind of mall for gift shops
this is a nice resort food is good accommodation are good and the hotel staff is really good always making sure customers are happy, i will go back to the hotel, just remember to carry cash because the atm at the lobby never gives money when you have a foreign atm card, but next to it you can exchange use your card to get money but they charge you 20% fee of the amount you are taking out, its a little outrageous

Excellent hotel

This hotel was great! The staff was super friendly, very attentive to our needs. The food could have been better, but either way, it was edible. The pools are amazing, all of the activities are great...I just loved this hotel and I’m coming back!
