hotel right on the beach

Hotel is awesome....only complaint is that the sun screen is WAY over priced 29-45 USD for something you can buy at Walmart/Costco for 6-10$ So make sure you bring lots Good is good...like all all inclusives gets tiring. I'm a VERY picky eater and I liked the food. Def will go back to this hotel

Relaxing, private resort

This is a nice, relaxing place - but like most resorts in the area, is entirely secluded from Punta Cana and, really, the Dominican Republic. It's designed to pretty much ensure you never leave the compound. Two negatives really stood out: 1) the food is awful. Probably some of the worst food I've had at an all-inclusive resort. The preparation is fine, they just use really low quality products. 2) the constant barrage of resort staff and locals trying to sell stuff (everything from drugs to kite sailing) gets really, really old and fast. I get that this is a big part of their business, but it's painful to constantly say no.

Let us mention that our hotel is exactly in the center of Bavaro, close to malls, restaurants, nightclubs and others, but in fact Punta Cana and Bavaro are aproximately 2:30 hours from the capital of the country. We would like also mention that we use quality products to prepare the food deliver to our guests, as we are commited to offer a completely excellence experience. Regarding to the sales, we are sorry if this prevented you from having a great time. In Dominican Republic beaches are public, in consequence vendors can stay in certain area of the beach. But our security doesn't allow them to enter the property, and before any report of a guest, they are willing to take actions, even more if it could includes ilegal things. Best regards.

not my thing

Pros: Hotel staff was very kind.
Cons: The food was not good unless you went to Castaway and were preferred.
Location: never left the resort.. about 30 mins from Airport
So why would you fly to a DR beach all inclusive? I don't have a good answer. I wish we had pooled our money and rented a house in South Florida. We went because the teenagers wanted to feel like they were on their own. They were but so what. If you want that kind of feel go on a cruise ship. You really don't leave the resort anyway. Not enough to do for me.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, close to the beach

Nice hotel with good food options, close to the beach. Great nightly entertainment on site. View out of balcony was terrible however, overlooked an area that housed old beach chairs/equipment but I'm sure many rooms had better views. We did not upgrade and we were just as pleased with dining and drink options, they do really try to push it though. Overall a nice hotel, good food, friendly staff.

Nice viewing horrible servers

Towels, drinks are never stocked when they clean the room... they put 2 towels every morning with 3 guest.. I can go on and on, the food is okay, most of the staff is good, my friend got charged 175$ for pretty much nothing. The views are nice, there are shopping tables by the lobby some nights. These people literally PULL you to there table to check out what they have. I called for towels one night and they never came, I called for beers 1 night and they come with 2 beers. The hotel maids I guess either threw out or stole because I lost socks and they touch your stuff, like they rearranged the room how they like it, touching my belongings. I got there at 1. Yes checkin is at 3 but my friend arrived at 3 and he got his room then I had to wait till 4 to check into mine. When I was there 2 hours before. They said my room isn't ready. But my friend who just arrived his room is? lol it's a joke, the best art about everything is the restraunt but even there. EVERYNIGHT for example I will order steak with no side, I get the side anyway, I ask for a water it comes 15 minutes later. I was tipping these people Left and right and still didn't get correct service. And I'm very kind with my money but the employees like wait for a tip. That's out of control. You guys have poor management. I had a great time, but 100%. Not going back to that resort.

Pros: Everything about the hotel was great.
Cons: They need shuttle service to the airport.
I had an awesome stay at the Now Larimar. The food was delicious at the Hibachi and Blue Nile Steak house.

Pros: The service was amazing, all the staff were very professional and respecful, especially the waiters
Location: there is a lot fun things to do.
it was an amazing experience, personaly im willing to come back at any moment.
