Hotel zu empfehlen

Posted 25-Jan-2016
2 Lichter gingen garnicht an.

Large resort, food average to disappointing

Posted 16-Jan-2016
Pros: Mini bar included, nice room, friendly staff
Cons: Quality of food in restaurants
Location: Don't waste money on snorkelling excursions, nothing to see. Waste of money
Nice resort, very large so need to stay close to central area and pool

Great resort to take the family

Posted 06-Jan-2016
Pros: You cannot beat the outdoor experience at this place: beach, pool, and main courtyard are incredible. The entertainment staff is one of the best.
Cons: No key cards for beach towels or charges for internet. Service at the special restaurants was not good.
Location: Beach, beach, beach
Okay, first of all, I had a lot of fun and would go back again. However, there are some things that you should keep in mind. The hotel acquired another adjoining hotel. Our friends were put there, not at the main resort as we were. Those are 3 star accommodations that allow you to use the main 4 star resort. The hotel should be more clear about the difference. We were also upgraded to premier level which is nice for special rooms, pools, and bars and one restaurant which was actually not that great. This resort really makes a big deal about some people have premier level and some do not. I prefer it when a resort has it but doesn't constantly put it in your face with all the signs, etc.

Our first all inclusive

Posted 04-Jan-2016
Pros: What I enjoyed most was a staff who cared, seemed happy to be there, very professional and polite. Plenty of beach and pool seating for all
Cons: The food was plentiful but lacked tast, no flushing of toilet paper was tough to get use to. Picking your room/bldg before you get there would be nice
Location: We did not leave the resort and never felt like we had or wanted to, plenty to do if you choose to
First time doing the all inclusive. We went over Christmas and had a great time. I woul rate it right along with a cruise as far as being a value. Blue oceans, white beaches and wonderful weather along with a great staff made for a great trip

Dear, What a great news to read you had a great time during your stay with us. We would like to express our concern since, regardless the fact you had a good time, it was not completely like your expectation due to some details that you mention, wich we are going to use to improve our performance. You can be sure in another visit, you will have an even better experience. Best regards,

Nice hotel with beautiful beach and pools

Posted 03-Jan-2016
Pros: The beach, the pool, the shade areas, the cocktails, the smoke-free laid back casino, the all inclusive dining options, the relaxing atmosphere.
Cons: The see-through bathrooms were uncomfortable; the rooms/beds often felt damp; preferred guests should have better access to wanted dinner reservations
Location: Just relax on the beach! Windsurf and catamaran free! There were snorkeling, diving, city tours, and other excursions but we weren't interested.
Our family of 5 (husband, wife, 3 twenty-something kids) had an excellent stay in two adjacent preferred guest rooms. We didn't see such benefits to paying extra for preferred except that we were quite close to the beach (some non-preferred guests were also close, however) as nobody ever checked when entering the preferred guest only areas. The beach shade is plentiful, lounge chairs comfortable, with soft white sand and ocean water perfect - clean with gentle waves. Cocktails are plentiful - served on the beach, at swim up pool bars, etc. - and bartenders (and much of the staff) are a lot of fun. Tipping is optional, but if you choose to, bring lots of singles since nobody is able to make change! It's a pretty resort with comfortable beds, but the see-through bathroom is really weird - especially since one room was shared by my two sons and one daughter. Dinner reservations are needed to be made at restaurants unless you don't mind a 45 minute wait at peak times; however, it still was difficult to get reservations for 5 people or less at times other than 6:00, 6:30, or 9:00, 9:30. The food is plentiful, but just okay - after a while, it seemed that everything tasted the same! Gluten-free options are available but somewhat limited. The nighttime shows varied - very talented staff of dancers, and a visiting magician was excellent; the visiting hypnotist was not as engaging as others we've seen. The casino was low-key which meant for us, non-gamblers, it was inviting.

Dear Holly, We appreciate you left your detailed comment about your stay in our hotel. As you said you didn´t notice quite difference between a Preferred guest and a regular one, we would like to mention that when a guest upgrade to Preferred not only get a room closer to the beach and pools, but you also have acces to exclusive areas of the hotel, where our team check if you belong to Preferred by your room number. Adittionaly you receive upgrade in your amenities, butler service, one restaurant just for Preferred, private check- in and some other benefits. We expect you could experience our Preferred Club again. Best regards,

Beware of bait and switch!

Posted 02-Jan-2016
We thought we would be staying at the resort Now Larimar when we selected "garden view" instead of "pool view or ocean view." Instead we ended up at a 2 star econo lodge about a 7 min walk to the NL main lobby. They have shuttles, but the rooms are not nice and the beds are very uncomfortable. Everyone we spoke to had a similar experience. We had access to the resort, food and staff which were very nice. Do not book Garden View!!

Dear, We would like to clarify that your inconvenience was due to a misunderstanding. Before, the Garden used to be a section of Now Larimar, but it was renew completely and become an independent hotel, as there were added many facilities more like bar, spa, Kids Club and some others, and the person still have fully access to the facilities at Now Larimar without any additional cost. This said, if you reserve a room before the Now Garden started as an independent hotel, your room would be located in the same place, since this Now Garden was the Garden Section. Because of it, we offer to our guests shuttle 24/7 to Now Larimar for their convenience. We apologies if it wasn’t correctly clarify, and consequently you were a little bit confused. But I can assure we respect the room category our guest’s book. We would like to see you again.

Great Beach!

Posted 02-Jan-2016
Pros: The hotel grounds were kept up nicely. Beach was large with plenty of chairs and umbrella huts for shade. Bars, food, rest rooms and pools close by.
Cons: always room for improvement...the wifi was not great and would be nice it was free.
Location: we did not leave the resort...content with activities offered on the property.
Everything was very nice, the rooms, the grounds, pools. Food was good, plenty of choices. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The nightly entertainment was good and the New Year's Eve celebration was fantastic. Would definitely suggest upgrading to Preferred Status.

Dear Stephanie, It is pleasant how you describe our facilities and the conditions of all of them, because it is the efforts of a team with the objective of make sure all our guests have the excellent stay we promise to them. I´m sure your advice for upgrade to Preferred would be helpful for those visitors who probably haven’t consider yet the Preferred, due to all the benefits that it represents. Best regards,

Tis was the trip from hell

Posted 02-Jan-2016
Pros: There wasn't anything that I liked about this hotel.
Cons: The Managers and staff should be replaced.
Location: Bring a bag full with all your life savings here. That's the only way you'll see or do anything.
This was the worst hotel I ever stayed at. The workers weren't helpful, they always wanted to sell me something. Upon arriving at the hotel, they told me I'm nowhere near the beach or the pools. I ended up paying more to upgrade my hotel room. This hotel isn't all inclusive; it has a cost to everything. The workers hound you for tips like it's the end of the world. The food is terrible. They serve the same thing EVERYDAY. All their restaurants were terrible. They did't have any decor or personalization. The drinks were watered-down. The shows were horrific; it was just like a school play every night. The people here only want your money. They think people from other countries print money. The room wasn't any better. The shower head was broken, the door from the balcony was broken which I was worried to sleep at night. I called for it to be serviced but they came like they knew what they were doing and still left it the same way. The maids don't clean anything. Before us even going into the room it's supposed to be spotless. Their were several mosquitoes killed on the walls and it was still there after we left the hotel. NEVER EVER AGAIN I'M GOING HERE. Thanks Now Larimar for ruining my honeymoon.

Dear Ariel, We are deeply sorry to read your experience was far from you expectancy. I would like to clarify that we have two categories: deluxe and Preferred, and people how gets Preferred Club have additional benefits from a regular guests, as consequences we offer to guests to upgrade to Preferred if they want, but it is always up to them. It leave us sad that you couldn’t fin attractive option for dining in our different seven restaurants, but we hope you consider change your mind and return in another opportunity. Best regards,

Bate and switch

Posted 02-Jan-2016
Be aware that you will be "awarded" coupons that are little value but advertised they are. The food is marginal although there is a variety of it. We had to call every night for them to fix the toliet and there was not enough pressure for a decent shower. We would not recommend this hotel.
