Les points positifs: - la diversité et qualité de la nourriture, avec un buffet étoffé par des restaurants à la carte. - la taille humaine du complexe et tout à proximité, même la plage - assez de transats sur la plage nettoyée. - personnel très aimable mais pas toujours volontaire Points négatifs: - prix exorbitants à la boutique de l'hotel alors qu'il un petit supermarché à 50 m à droite à la sortie de l'hotel est à prix normaux. - le wi-fi n'est pas constant mais gratuit - il manque un bar sur la plage pour le soir - excursions très chères

Notre déception de fin de voyage...

En fin de séjour sac à dos à travers la Rép Dom, nous décidons de nous arrêter une nuit dans cet hôtel pour décompresser...quelle déception...Certes la chambre est grande et tout illimité mais nous dormons dans des draps moites et sentant l'humidité et oh surprise ...d'autres clients (ivres) entrent avec leur pass dans notre chambre en pleine nuit!...Seule explication apportée par l'accueil de l'hôtel "cela peut arriver en cas de mauvaise activation du pass...". Nuit désastreuse.

Great location, great staff…

Cons: A bit too "americanized"… missing some real Dominican atmosphere, like for example bachata and merengue…
Location: San Juan mall (don't go there, prices too expensive). Swimming with the dolphins, very nice experience
Nice experience. The people in this hotel are simply wonderful. I only found it too bad that most of the tourists there don't take so much attention to these hard-workers. Great animation staff, great concierge staff, great people a bit everywhere…. very nice location. Nice beach. Good food. Nothing to complain about, except that I would have loved to feel more the Dominican culture. But I think it is the same in any hotel in Punta Cana.

Location: Very popular place in Punta Cana. Bavaro is the tourism destination. Over 100 resorts in the area.
I want to first preface this review by telling you a little bit about my wife and I. We are both enthusiasts for great Food and Beverage. We both work in restaurant management in Chicago. Our passion for the industry, travel, and hospitality are above average. We just got back from our Honeymoon for 5 days and it was very memorable! ENTERTAINMENT: The entertainment at Now Larimar is top notch. The team is very interactive and talented. Each night there is a show and throughout the day there are events on the beach and at the pools. We saw the following shows while we were there: Circus Show with acrobatics, Beach Party with Fire, Hour long montage of lip syncing and dancing, A Capella Concert, Authentic dancing and singing from Dominican. The Supervisor Charlie Brown is hilarious and made our trip. Spaghetti, Mr Kool, Scooby Doo, Sexy Bon Bon, and Shaggy were there all day everyday! You won't be disappointed with this amazing team! ROOMS: All the necessities are met with your room. Minibar stocked daily with different sodas, bottled water, beer, and juices. Beds are semi firm. Our room came with a jacuzzi tub, shower, walk out patio, coffee maker, and WIFI. TV has both spanish and english channels. GROUNDS: Well Kept. Everywhere is walkable. Lots of pools and bars spread out… Nothing is a far walk. Beach is clean and have lots of palm trees. FOOD: Here is where the disappointment came. There is a great variety of dining options. Fantastic holiday

We stayed at the Now Larimar for 7 days all inclusive and had a great time. The restaurant options are excellent and the food is quality. We particularly enjoyed the French restaurant. The buffet also had really good options. The room was a standard pool view room - nothing special but exactly what you would expect - a nice, clean room! The staff were brilliant (Ayri from guest services) and the Entertainment staff were amazing! We enjoyedany activities including a palella cooking conpetition on the beach, beach volleyball, beach yoga, aerobics and the fire show was great. The evening shows were incredible and super entertaining. In particular, we absolutely loved Charlie Brown, Scooby, Shaggy, Spaghetti, Coca Cola and J Be Good. The other entertainers were also great (too many to remember!) The dancers were also amazing! We will definitely be coming back next year!

Ok Hotel

The Hotel does not have the advertised amenities. The food was ok not great at a few restaurants but at others it was just bad.

beautiful location

Great stay.Wonderful resort. Staff go out of their way to ensure you have a good time. Food was so so in the Blue water grill and the the Tamarind. Food was outstanding in the Mercure, Spice and the Italian place.

The Hustle

Beautiful hotel, but you are always being hustled to buy something. I witnessed one of the staff being rude to two older couples who didn't want to participate in a one hour tour. We also had trouble in the restaurants trying to get water, asking 3 or 4 times before being served. For the kind of money you have to spend to stay here, the daily hustle is obnoxious and the service should be excellent.

Beautiful resort on the beach

Pros: We like the pool areas, entertainment, drinks, food, and friendly staffs.
Cons: My husband and I paid good money to stay at this resort. We did not want to be bothered by hotel staffs trying to convince us to buy anything.
Location: There are water sport activities on the beach of resort, such as kayaking, tubing, parasailing, wind surfing, paddle board, etc. Buggy ride nearby.
It was unpleasant when me and my husband first arrived to check in at lobby. We were tired from our flight and it was late. Our room was not available due to hotel over booked. We were given an upgrade to Preferred room with tropical view which comes with Preferred benefits. Our original booked room has ocean/pool view which we paid extra for. We didn't care for the tropical view or the preferred benefits. We got our ocean/pool view the next evening. The other unpleasant experience was, we were introduced to few other staffs after we checked in. one of them was trying to sell us spa or tour package while all we wanted to do was to go to our room and settle in. My husband got frustrated and finally told the guy we weren't interested in signing anything that night. Other than people trying to sell you things, we loved the resort! It has great drinks, great buffet restaurant, plenty of activities for all age group throughout the day and evening including wAter sports. Night club and casino in the resort are also a plus.
