Loved the night lighting, the lobby and the patio areas. The whole property was very pretty and it was very well laid out. As well, everything was easy to walk to. The beach was cleared of Sargassum daily and staff regularly picked up trash and empty glasses and plates. Things I did not like: Everyone being told to report back to reception for check in at 3pm and then having to wait to be called. The staff were very polite but we never got into our room until 5pm by which time it was too late to even go for a swim.

This was my second trip here, and I was severely disappointed. The food was average to say the least and the service was not great. With the exception of Joel at the pool and two of the gentlemen at the Supreme Buffet. The hostess at the Taino restaurant was downright rude. You are definitely treated better if you upgrade to the colonial club, which wasn’t fair. Their GoMajestic staff was rude ans well unless you were trying to book a in the excursion with them. We will look for another resort on our next visit.

The bartenders are very rude. Whether you are tipping or not, they don't want to work. You wait, standing there at the bar sometimes for 10-15 minutes for someone to acknowledge you. Also, when you order a drink, they'll do everything but make that drink. They'll finish cleaning, make jokes with their coworkers, go in the back somewhere etc. Also right when we go there, we were rushed off to the ViP Lounge and was told no further information. I started talking to other people in the room and they said they were waiting for 2 hours with no information. What a welcome, you arrive at a beautiful resort and then you're told to wait in this room? We finally find out that its because our room wasnt ready. Our room wasnt ready until 6p, and we arrived at 330p. It wasnt pleasant. Also, they book up at the restaurants so quick that you wont eat at the two "reservation" only while you're there. The only reason I was able to get into one, was because I started yelling at management about it. It wasnt a positive stay.

In general we had an excellent experience. My only feedback for improvements are that need to be more pending to some restrooms in comunal areas, to be in the best conditions (cleanliness and odors). Also, the check in for Club customers take too much.

Staff has a hard time understanding English. Booked a Oceanview room and they gave us a different room. Had to wait until the next day to receive the right room. They did upgrade us to a full suite and gave us a $100.00 in hotel credit for the mistake. Unfortunately the only pace to use the credit was in there logo shop. Not much selection. Bartenders was amazing. Not much around for souvenir shopping. Locals did set up at the resort one evening. Very pushy and WAY overpriced. Food was decent at the restaurant. Buffet was average.

Endless things to do especially for kids. The staff was absolutely amazing especially Rachel who was amazing with our kids. We loved the warmth from everyone there and the enthusiasm. We’d absolutely come back again.

Overall beautiful location. IMO the facilities needs updated but clean. The pool was amazing! Only negative was the food options. Was not impressed with any of the restaurants nor the food at the buffets. Breakfast was the exception. Overall very nice!!

We have stayed at Majestic Colonial in April 2024 with our two kids, 11 and 17. Location is perfect, from the pool to the beach there’s literally couple of steps. The beach is pretty clean, with lots of sun beds and umbrellas, but you still need to come early if you want to find a free sunbed. There’s a good choice of water sports activities, from parasailing to a banana ride. The pool is huge and stretched along the hotel. Entertainment was amazing, the animation team was always present with all sorts of activities, from yoga to funny competitions, foam party in the pool and dance classes. There’s a big selection of bars and restaurants on site. Food was good quality and wide choice. Room was quite spacious and cleaned daily. Minibar was topped up daily too. We also had a jacuzzi in the room, which we haven’t used, to be honest, as we were always out. There are some shops on site as well, where you can buy local souvenirs or some essential items. From the improvements, I wish there would be a drying rack for wet towels and swimsuits on a balcony as we had to use chairs to dry our wet clothes. And more electric sockets would be great too, as there were four of us and we had to take turns to charge our devices. But these are only minor downsides. We would definitely recommend this beautiful hotel to anyone and if we were to come back to Punta Cana we would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic stay at the majestic colonial. Food was great with different restaurant options, also the buffets switch up offerings too. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The beach was amazing, snorkeling, and daily activities everyday. We will definitely return.

All inclusive was very good. A lot of variety. Grounds were beautiful. The resort is getting older. Little things are showing their age. Our air conditioning had 2 settings OFF and VERY COLD. Had trouble with plumbing but was rectified.

The staff was very nice however room service was not great, food was cold. Made a reservation at a steak restaurant and the guest services lost our reservation, we were told that we had to go back and figure out what happened, even though i had a ticket that showed reservations made. Not worth to figure out on our last night. Kids running up and down hallways at 2am was ridiculous with no one from staffing stopping the issues, theres camera all around the resort. The resort was dated and needed many upgrades.

The entertainment staff was excellent pool side and at night. Friendly and joy to interact with!!!! Selene was terrific!!! Buffet service for breakfast and dinner were hit or miss! First 3 days of breakfast GREAT last 3 could not even get orange juice… one dinner and lunch interaction was met with rude hostesses and just led to a bad experience! Both at the beachfront restaurant. Could have used a few more presidenti beers in the room! Room service food excellent ! Swim up bar server Junior was excellent! Highly recommend!

Great property overall, food could have been better. Staff should care more about the food they are serving or how the food is cooked. Excursions are not worth it in my opinion. The experience that my family and I received was not the best, we’ve had better at other hotels. However, the property is beautiful and the staff is really nice.

Majestic Colonial is absolutely amazing! All of the staff is extremely helpful and they all work very hard to make your stay wonderful. The property itself is beautiful and very well maintained. There is an abundance of good in all of the restaurants and lots of options. I would not think twice about going back there again.

Last minute booking resulted in a great option. VIP access was great, however the rooms with the two beds didn’t make sense, four poster bed gives poor view of tv, we had a child so adult section didn’t work, BUT Luis in reception was my hero! For a decent fee we upgraded to a swim up room. Room a bit outdated, but comfortable and worth it. Thank you Daniela for tidying up, good job. Tropical vibe on point, the food was good, access to Club lounge a life saver for expresó machine and great snacks. Not impressed with seafood restaurant, the steak one was better. Breakfast at Gourmet, delicious! The staff superb. Good Friday buffet was noteworthy as well. Entertainment was fun with volleyball games, yoga, sushi making class. Several ping pong tables, though pool cues need to be retipped. Kids splash area very cute, gaming room and maze looked fun. The Colonial seems to be more family friendly. Not modern, but sweet. We travel to punta Cana every year, visited at least 8 different resorts, I would come back to this one despite it’s older and not as fancy and modern as many others and less expensive than all others we have visited. Spa: the hydrotherapy area amazing, thanks Ricardo! The massage with adalgiza was relaxing, I fell asleep. Drinks, good selection and great staff! With the amount of 18 year olds and kids, their patience was surprising. The beach, clean with plenty of loungers. The club beach area the best! The staff are very friendly and helpful.

This resort was fantastic!! Beautiful property. The pools were pristine. It shows they take a lot of pride in giving the guests a great place. The bartender at the lobby bar, Fausto, was great! Never had an empty glass! The food at the buffets was OK. But the Japanese restaurant was outstanding. One thing that bothered us was that we were there for our 20th wedding anniversary and we told them 3 times (at booking, pre-check in and when we got there) but didn't get any kind of recognition. We saw happy birthday banners all over but nothing for us. Overall a great vacation

upon arrival we didnot receive any vip greeting, food selection was poor. there was poor selection of top shelf liquor. They charge for swim out rooms but they do not have swim out pools they are community pools outside your room. All pools and beaches are closed at 6pm, room services closes are 11pm. They charged me for a bottle of liquor that they serviced at the front of the resort but not in the back end of it.

We had a great time at this resort, the beach is amazing. The staff made our time fun and relaxing. However, we found the food lacking in flavour and the 3pm snacks were not fresh. You cannot get reservations at a decent time or the wait is more than 2 hours at the restaurants that don’t require them. This is due to a lack of staff as the restaurant was half empty at both our reserved times. There are a lack of pool towels, toiletries and room service takes a long time. The resort is in need of a refresh. You’ll receive so many emails asking about your stay, but, the basics aren’t met. I wish I could say different, but, I chose this resort because of the higher reviews and it still didn’t live up to the reviews I did read.

Generally speaking, property is absolutely stunning although old. We stayed 5 days and 4 nights. Noted some cockroaches which disgusted us 😒… mattress was super uncomfortable. Cleaning and beds are made twice a day which is great! Mini bar is replenished twice as well. Bars have a nice variety of drinks and cocktails. Staff and service is great! Pools are nice and clean. Would love to see more international cuisine incorporated in buffets and more variety in hot food. Basically, the food options are same for lunch and dinner with minor variations. Vegan people have limited options. No airport shuttle service is provided. Evening events were alright! Private beach is nice and clean with butler service! Be aware of the beach vendors!
