It was lovely and very pretty and clean. I did not like that you could not cross the lobby without the timeshare crew chasing you down. It was a nuisance.

Overall this is a very nice hotel, very clean, and a lot of rooms have been renovated to meet what you would expect from a luxury resort. A few things were a letdown, starting with the fact that they limited you to only 2 beers in your room for restocking per day—2!! That to me is beyond ridiculous for a luxury all inclusive resort. I don’t know if that has something to do with the recent events with the area, but even so, it’s a very stupid policy, especially when you have a swim up room and really want to chill with some drinks. We had to buy our own tequila to enjoy which sours the experience of all inclusive—what’s the point? Secondly, the food, it wasn’t that great. It’s probably my American stomach, however my other 2 friends were all as sick as me during the trip( Portuguese & Guatemalan), and everyday we spent too much time comparing toilet trips. I don’t know what they use for cooking oil or maybe the water but it doesn’t sit well and it ruins your trip when every day you have to think about what am I going to eat? And finally there’s just too much back and forth processes with something as simple as booking a dinner reservation, which we didn’t do in advance so we ate at 2 a la cartes and that’s it out of 5 days, then there’s having to go to another hotels lobby for airport transportation, it’s all just totally unnecessary and makes you feel like you’re wasting so much time scheduling and booking when you just want pool and beach time.

Everything was great, all inclusive truly means all inclusive. The drinks at the beach experience was remarkable, the buffets are huge and a wide variety to choose from. The staff are very friendly, the manager is really nice. I did waste my time for a 60 min presentation trying to sell me a travel plan. Oh and if you want to add someone to your room, it's a really complicated procedure with security and reception. Takes hours and it's stressful waiting for an answer Even though I'm paying top dollar (140$/night to add someone) but all worked out nicely at the end. Overall experience 8. 5/10

The renovated swim up room was amazing. The pool the high end room was to died for.

Everything is perfect! The grounds are beautiful. The staff are so friendly! We loved the addition of the gym, which we used several times. We just had our third visit and already planning to come back next year.
