A+ Service!

Posted 17-May-2015 on Hotels
I have spent 8 nights in this great hotel, Kings breakfast, the service was A+. The bad is the wi-fi in this hotel!! Very slow and if you want a fast connection you have to pay 10 dollars per night! It wasn't written when I booked the hotel, when you come for business it is very important !!!

I stayed both in a room and in a suit, both we're excellent. That's why I again chose your hotel to stay on my visit to Pune, which will be quite soon.

Very nice hotel

Posted 08-Jan-2015
Pros: Workout facility was top-notch. Breakfast was always enjoyable.
Cons: The transportation costs to take a car anywhere were very expensive. Given a specific address, the driver got lost and had to pull over 3 times.
Location: Nice location, easy to find.
The overall experience was positive. Food was great, staff was friendly, the workout facility was terrific.

Comfortable stay at the Taj

Leisure getaway with family. Hotel and its facilities was very good. I found it a little "unknown" by the riksha drivers until I realised that it was known as "Taj Blue Diamond". Great Stay - would recommend it.

Good hotel in a convenient location

Posted 05-Jan-2015
Pros: The staff.
Cons: See above re: experience.
Location: Bund Garden has a children's playground and a poorly-maintained jogger's park. Take an auto to get there.
The staff were all excellent. The room was comfortable, and room service (bed turndown, roll-in bed set-up) was prompt and courteous. The restaurants (Latitude and Mystic Masala) were good and once again restaurant staff were friendly and gave good service. The only strange thing was the absence of clean glasses next to the self-service juice bar in the lobby. Why have a juice bar if you don't intend to provide glasses? The first time I asked for clean glasses nobody delivered -- although they did take away the dirty ones! The second time (the next day) when I asked for clean glasses a staff member actually came and served juice to my two kids, which was very nice.

Very nice hotel in the heart of Pune. Excellent fitness center with free weights, lower body machines and cardio equipment. There is also a steam room. Breakfast and lunch buffets rock; however, the fish curry leaves much to be desired. There also isn't a mattress cover--just a flimsy sheet. For the value and amenities, a great hotel.

Good prices...but that's it.

Posted 29-Dec-2014 on Hotels
Average hotel, good prices. Once upon a time it was the crown jewel of Pune hotels. How the mighty have fallen. Newer hotels have sprung up everywhere. Blue Diamond hasn't been able to keep pace. Not with the checkin process, the restaurants or the decor or the facilities. The food was so-so. The pool was not heated. The training of the front desk leaves a lot to be desired. They do not work with the guests. Instead it seems like they are government officials asking for everything in triplicate. That was probably the worst I've seen. Everything took an hour to sort out from the check-in to the check out. Travelers beware: They will ask for ID for ALL the guests, not only the person whose name is on the booking.
