The location is fantastic and the accessibility to both the beach and the marina was great. The service on the other hand was nothing to brag about. Check in was just that - they checked you in, gave you a key and that was it. No welcoming smiles, no welcome drink, no help with luggage or finding your room. We've come to PV several times to other resorts and never has the service been so unimpressive. Our room attendant did not replenish any toiletries and our phone in our room didn't work so every time we needed something we had to go downstairs to the desk and then tell them and back to the room and wait for the amenities to be delivered. Once would have been forgivable but this was literally every day of our 7 night stay. In fact, when we first arrived in the room there weren't even towels. I hate to even write reviews but this time around we brought it to the front desks attention everyday after the 3rd day of no amenities and still repeatedly did not get what we needed, therefore, here is my honest review.

The location of this resort is stunning, especially with all the yachts along the marina. However, there was little to no daily games/activities on the resort, only 4 employees spoke English which was very challenging if you couldn’t find them and had to ask any other employee. The cleaning crew daily forgot to give us hand towels, shower towels and face cloths. There was small layers of mold in the grout and shower head in the bathroom. The view is what makes the resort nice, but other then that it was quite below any other resorts I’ve ever been to in Puerto Vallarta and I am a yearly traveller to PV.

Where to start? I've been to PV 3 times, the west coast 4 times, and Mexico in general 7 times. 5 of those visits were within the last 9 years. This was, hands down, the worst resort I've ever stayed at. For starters, the rooms look nothing like the photos. They're either from another Vamar resort or stolen off Google. The rooms were *extremely* basic, no wifi, a sliding deck door that was broken, a window with a bright light outside of it that had no curtain or blind for it, a toilet that barely flushed, a shower that was clogged and suffered from random drops in water pressure and temperature, dead cockroaches left in the bathroom ceiling lamp cover, and thick dust *everywhere*. One couple we met even had mold all over their bathroom when they checked in. Then there was the god awful facilities and staff. First, the only place with complementary wifi was in the lobby with a tiny seating area for about 15 people. The coffee they offered in the lobby was practically just slightly brown water, *if* they even actually made any - half the time there was no coffee, or sugar, or cream, or mugs. You also were only *ever* allowed one free bottle of water per person in your room. There were supposed to be free refill stations but they were always empty - but you could *buy* another bottle of water at the front desk. Buffet was unsanitary and staff rarely took drink orders. And as soon as you check out, they cut your bracelet - No facility access unless you pay hourly. Horrible.

We take very seriouse any inconvinve that you might of had with us. In no shape or form do we take these comments lightly. Checking your reservation stay we dont have any complaints on your behave. We could have helped to correct problems or misconfort we might have been esperiencing. We have extra amenities such as refrigerators or coffee pots. Upon request. We understand that sometimes we have alot of miscomunication and it really affects any stay. So we regret not being able to have the opportunity to solve the inconvinces.

Not sure about all the negative reviews. I guess it all depends on what you want. The only thing I could see is the rooms are dated, but were clean and comfortable and everything worked. For us, thats's all that matters because we don't spend a lot of time in our room. The grounds and pools are clean and nice. The service was beyond excellent and polite. The buffet was fine with fresh grill options the nights we ate there. To us this resort was budget friendly so we could go out to some of our favorite restaurants at the marina. The location is excellent being only a few steps from the marina and fishing docks. Having a marina side and ocean side was great also, the best of both worlds. Under a three minute walk between the two. If you are looking for high end furnishings in your room then this may not be the place for you but if you want a nice place to stay with great service, excellent location for a fun time in Puerto then I would say yes. We had a superior balcony room with great views of the marina and boats going in and out.

To better our interaction with our guest. And we have 4 bars all threw our resort. And our lobby bar area opens at 6 in the afternoon and closes at 1 in the morning. And also you have a great option of requesting a alcoholic breverage in our Marina buffet upon request. About our wifi yes you are in future plans in upgrading our service to provide a much broader converage threw the resort. And about extra amenities such a fridges or silver ware. That totally free of charge but its upon request and we would of gladly helped in this situation. But sometimes there is alot of miscomunication and alot of things can be handled in the best way.

We were given the wrong room at first, then they got us the room we ordered. Then had plumbing issues, so we upgraded to the penthouse and still had plumbing issues. The place needs some updating and better cleaning standards. I also didn’t like that there was no fridge available. The food was good and location was great, beautiful views and nice beach.

That people dont have the opportunity to try our different options of restaurants that our resort provides. When it comes to any currency the Hotel itself has money exchange of any currency. So maybe the lack of comunication is a big factor. So we really regret not being able to fix any bad situations.

Really liked being near both the marina & the beach, even though it required transportation to get to the downtown area. The staff were excellent- going above & beyond to accommodate us on every level. It was very clean. Really enjoyed the nightly shows in the theater- a fun family activity. Things I missed were a hot tub, bikes to rent & use to get around, ice cream available at the buffet or snack bar

I thought it s/b a lower rating than noted (4*) and was a little aged, but we really liked the place! Pool and deck were fairly quiet and spotlessly clean and like new. We never worried about “saving” chairs. Rooms were spacious (we had to upgrade to get a balcony (160US$). Location is superb! Right on the marina and a short walk across a small road to a very quiet beach. Shopping, etc excellent. We had the grandkids. They loved it. Wifi, as with most Mex resorts was very spotty. I will buy a Mex Sim card next time I go to Mexico to avoid the hassle. Food was fine. Not great like some resorts we’ve stayed at, but fine. Staff were excellent. Very friendly. Ya, we’d stay again (from Canada Mar 24).

It was affordable and the pools were nice. The liquor options were also quite good. I've been here several times and it doesn't make an effort anymore to engage guests. It's the same music on a short loop by the pool, often way too loud for the crowd and poorly chosen. The shows are also a joke. They used to be at least entertaining. Don't bother with the excursions they offer. Quite poor.

My only complaint was that we weren't given an explanation of what was available at the resort and the kids activities weren't advertised at all. When we found a schedule we had a hard time locating the activity and there was a big language barrier once we were there.

Villa was not as depicted in pictures, maybe 20 years ago but today no fridge, no microwave, screaming plumbing, screen door on patio did not lock, dining table was tilted and wobbly. Dust built up under the beds, no cold water or wash cloths. Buffet was just OK, dinner not available until 7:00 pm. Slow dinner service and cold food. Shout out to the maintenance team they responded and very helpful.

There was good and bad about this resort. Good: Staff, location (marina), pools and outdoor areas were very clean. Not so good: The pictures of the rooms online are not close to what the rooms actually look like. It is an older resort, but the problem is the disrepair of the rooms. Our first room had a safe that didn't work (as did several other guests we met). It had black mold around the bathroom taps and shower head, and chunks of plaster out of the walls. The chain on the door was broken, the room only had 1 chair to sit in, and there was no fridge in the room. We were moved to another room, and while it was in somewhat better shape, the patio door was broken. The bottom frame had been pushed in, so the glass was no longer attached to the frame. There was a 1/4" gap between the glass and the frame. One good push and that whole glass door would have come crashing down. Staff was great but ownership really needs to step up their game. The staff are taking the abuse for something out of their control.

Staff was great - Drinks were inconsistent and half the time undrinkable. Very spread out complex from main hotel to the beach access. Reservations for almost everything but the cafe and buffet. Smaller variety at the buffet than other options at other resorts. Cafe needs to improve the food - same sandwich from one day to another guest wasn't consistent. Overall this is a ok place. No chairs at the pools only loungers. Improvement on some items would help a lot.

The first villa 622 had sewer smell. The second 621 had toilet that squealed loud. They sent a repair person but it didn’t get fixed. So we had to shut the water off to the toilet when not in use.k otherwise we where very happy with the room. The bedroom AC worked good. But the living room AC did not. But that was fine we open the patio and enjoy the outside breeze. All staff are amazing. The only thing that would make it better if coffee and some type of pastry was served down by the pools by the oceanfront. Then person could have a early morning coffee and watch for whales or the cruise ships come in.

Definitely not how it looks in the pictures. The food was horrible and only one pool was heated. Will not be staying here again.

This is an older hotel but it is in fairly good shape, easily accessible to both the marina and the beach. Food was generally good but not wonderful.

I like the location of this hotel as i have stayed here in the past but this time the lobby bar was not open till later in the evening and some days the buffet was closed for lunch no option for a later check out and the service was not up to par.as well as in the past and the drinks were mediocre at best
