Dear Terrence, thank you for your feedback. All new rooms vary in size and decor. We wish you had expressed your feelings while you were here. If so, we could have possibly moved you to another room. We are indeed in a Mexican neighborhood, with more restaurants and shops opening up around us all the time. The beauty of staying with us is that we are a short distance from the busyness of the more touristy part of zona romantica, but can come back and enjoy a more mexican experience away from it all. There is always a cost to change rooms I will see who authorized the discount as they shouldn’t of as you were not staying in the room you booked. It is not unsafe.I am thinking you were looking for more of a resort experience rather than what we are - a unique boutique hotel.
