The bed was very comfortable. The view was mediocre...just rooftops and other buildings. The location is the winner here. Everything is very walkable. The description of "No Hills" is slightly exaggerated. Stairs and railings made the last 100 feet or so manageable but it's definitely not flat. ##### Tracy K. The apartment is accurately depicted in the photos. Spacious , comfortable and has everything you need. Located in a quiet building close to restaurants and nightlife yet far enough away. Loved the location, just enough set back from the noise/crowds of Badillo and Olas Altas and the beach, but close enough to be there quickly. The photos are terrific but they don't do this incredible place justice! It has a super layout and easy flow. The pool is very private, the rooms incredibly spacious, and all the luxury you need is contained within this tucked-away jewel. Very quiet and tranquil and we had a lovely stay! This location is also situated ideally for a stroll to the nearby restaurants or cafes. For all you yoga lovers, Yoga Vallarta is just a few blocks from here (5 mins. walk), and the Malecon is just a 10 minute walk from here. I would recommend both this property and Joe, the owner, at any time for a positive PV experience. We arrived at the condo, and it was as expected. It is a great large condo very nicely furnished. If this unit was in a better location it would have been ideal. As we checked the area, there was a major road directly out the front door. As we look out from the balcony there is a large ugly building blocking the view. We did not mind not having ocean view but the photos in the listing showed a different view than what we saw from the balcony. It was blocked by buildings and the view was terrible. As we went down to the pool area there was a large 8 to 10 story building under construction just next to the pool area. Upon closer inspection we noticed construction debris in the pool. We were not going to spend our days hanging by a pool with construction workers looking down at us 24/7, as well as objects falling down on us. We immediately called the owner and explained our dissatisfaction with the unit. Joe was very pleasant and explained that he wanted us to be 100% satisfied or we did not have to stay there. We told him that we would be finding other accommodations. He would be happy to give us a full refund minus the VRBO fee. He then called back and stated that since it was such a late notice he would be charging us 1 night for cancelling. I felt that was fair,a and was comfortable agreeing to that. We both agreed and I waited on my deposit return as well as our money back for 6 nights. We originally booked the unit for 7 nights. After 10 days or so without any return, I made contact with Joe once again by phone as well as emails. At this time he stated that he has many rentals and didn't realize that we booked through VRBO and they have a 0% return policy, but he would be willing to give us back 1/2 of our money. Since payment is made in full before you arrive you are in no position to argue so we once again agreed with Joe hoping we would at least get 1/2 of our money back for a condo we never used. Apparently Joe's word is only as good as his financial situation. If you don't mind views that are blocked this is a good unit to rent, obviously in about another year or 2 after the construction next door is complete. ##### Donovan P. I have never been more impressed with the quality and maintenance of the residence and the complex itself. First, it is truly in the heart of the Romantic Zone and has very little incline to get there. Everything is within walking distance or a short Uber/Cab ride. The residence itself is very well equipped. It goes beyond the "full kitchen" term! The owners are very nice and respond quickly. The condo is very large and airy making it comfortable for everyone. First the hosts were very easy to communicate with and have a hands on approach sending someone to check in on us when we got there and quickly answering any texts or emails questions that came up during the stay. The location is perfect and as described, right in the heart of the romantic zone. A quick walk down the small hill to one of the main streets brings you to a host of restaurants, bars, clubs & shops. It is about a 15 minute walk from the gay beaches and even less time for the rest of the beaches. As for the hill it is not that much of a climb, we have climbed much worse. If you have trouble walking it will be the cobblestone streets in town that you will need to be careful of. The unit was as described, large and spacious and perfect for two couples and maybe a tagalong. I think you could make the little TV room nook into a non-private sleeping area if you travel with a larger group. The kitchen was well stocked with the basic spices and stuff for cooking or heating up meals. Under normal circumstances we don't come to this city to cook but during our trip the city shut down at 8:30 due to COVID-19, this was the perfect place to stay when our nights ended around 8:30\. Now for the only downsides. The balcony is great to hang out on at night but mosquitos love it just as much as we do! This is a residential building and you can hear life go on above, so I assume those below us heard us too. The pool closes at 10 which is also typical for places like this. In conclusion this is not the place to have large noisy groups or late night parties, but also under normal circumstances the loud noisy party and good times on the warm Mexican nights would be out on the streets and on the Malecon where the people watching and street food never end. We hope to be able to come back here and stay again in the future. For those who might want to travel during this pandemic and are worried you might end up spending a lot of time at your vacation rental, this is a great place to choose. ##### Joe B. Condo 202 Copa De Oro is a HUGE two bedroom with 2 king beds and a big living, kitchen, and dining room. The unit is modern and well equipped. Booking could not have been easier, the owner Joe is friendly and personable and made sure we were comfortable. The location is 2-3 blocks from everything, but far enough away to avoid the nightlife noise. Nearly flat walking that made it easy for this 60 year old. Big balcony with a city view.
