We had a very disappointing experience at Hotel Tropicana in Puerto Vallarta. Despite an initially smooth check-in process and beautiful location, our stay quickly turned sour due to numerous issues.
Firstly, the unexpected construction on your balcony was not only disruptive but also invasive, as workers had a direct view into your room while they were working. This lack of privacy is unacceptable and undoubtedly made for an uncomfortable stay. We also booked a King bed, and we received two double beds, which was not big enough for two.
Furthermore, the promised amenities such as an iron and towels failed to materialize despite multiple requests. We called the front desk multiple times, and even got hung up on twice.
It's concerning that basic necessities were not provided, forcing you to resort to taking towels from unattended housekeeping carts.
The disregard for your comfort and well-being reached its peak on our last day when construction activities began as early as 8:30 am, disturbing our sleep. They were literally hammering and chiseling tiles from the balcony, I have a video of this occurrence as well. The dismissive response from Adrian at the front desk when we voiced our concerns reflects a lack of empathy and customer service. I asked for a Manager or Supervisor, and he stated that there was no management staff there for that day. The noise continued, so we checked out early from our room due to the fact that we could not get any peace on our last day.
