The room smells like an old rotten rugs , I was told to pay extra to get a new renovated room.

Great room. It was clean, cool, renovated, all plumbing fixtures had excellent pressure. The beach along the ocean and pool were gorgeous. These again were kept clean.

Hidden Agendas

House keeping doesn't change the sheets or towels! They just fix them for you. The hotel will charge you an additional insedetial fee/Resort fee if you are paying for meals as the days go by. The location is beautiful but the hassle of getting my $400 back was a huge inconvenience of the trip. They will not tell you that they will b taking an addition charge off of your card either. The manager would not speak to me directly to resolve the issue, so I had no other choice to speak with a hotel representative. I would visit the beautiful island again but I wouldn't stay at the Courtyard Marriott. That experience really rubbed me the wrong way and put an unprofessional taste in my mouth.

Great experience here and very safe!!! All the hotel staff did a wonderful job taking care of our every needs! Only thing is there's not much amenities included with hotel and food was expensive. 24hr casino was cool and we won $ to come home with.

Decent Stay

Posted 18-Aug-2016
The hotel amenities were decent. There were somethings that could have been better. The carpet in the hotel room was in need of a serious cleaning. And the hallway on the 9th floor had a "mildew like" smell. And I think some of the hotel fees were unnecessary and should be included with the purchase price.

We arrived on Saturday August 13 and checked in the price they gave me on expedia was $661 and some change ..alright sounds good but when we arrived they tacked on some resort fees. Ok I can understand that ...we get into the room with a nice view of the beach beautiful sunny day. We wake up the next morning to a damp floor ! Due to the ac leaking . Called every day about it and they kept saying we're sending someone up but never did . Only seen the people in our room once . Problem was never fixed so we had a damp floor on one side of the room the entire stay. Breakfast was 16.95 a person plus drinks pretty pricey. Taxis at the hotel were pretty expensive but the taxi driver Juan was very wonderful and helpful. The pool swim up bar is nice but expect it to be pricey . Make sure you bring OFF or some sort of bug spray. We went out on the beach at around 5:30 and were swarmed by these tiny insects like sand flies . We were bit head to toe. We had about 20 bites within 10 minutes. We stayed for 5 days 4 nights . Ate breakfast twice and had two snacks and drinks at the pool , when it came time to check out they had tacked on resort fees tourist taxs and fees . Left paying $1045 instead of the price Expedia quoted.

Great!

Posted 15-Aug-2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Cleaner pool water, it was great that pool was opened 24hrs but water just looked cloudy & dirty on all the days we were there. :(((
Location: Very close to SJU airport We took public transportation to old San Juan was a nice experience
This trip was very memorable. We traveled with 2 children and it was perfect and very relaxing. I would go back for sure. Unfortunately it was short and sweet 3nights/4days wished we could stay longer. Made the best of our time and loved the fact that the property was right on the beach.

Nice hotel next to a beautiful beach

Posted 11-Aug-2016
Pros: Layout of pool and how close to the beach was great!!!
Cons: I noted that on my experience above. Also girl at kiosk needs to speak and understand English better.
Location: Jet sking, walmart, horseback riding, rain forest & bacardi factory.
Nice hotel next to a beautiful beach without rocks & seaweed. The pool is beautiful with a swim up bar. The swim up bar had three stools blocked off for repair the entire week so it limited people at the bar. The staff was wonderful! I really would've loved to give a 5 star rating. The buffet food for what you pay for either it be breakfast or dinner was edible. For dinner on the personal menu was good, but be prepared to pay. Drinks were made good but are double of what you pay in the states. Then add their 11% sales tax. To me this is a 3 star hotel with great potential to be a 5 star with fixing a few things as listed. (Buffet, drinks & swim up bar).. Yes, I would go back :-)
