This hotel was just OK

Posted 25-Aug-2015
Pros: Location is great and very convenient to the beach for the price.
Cons: Upgrade the AC units. Needs elevator access
Location: The beach is about a block away. Walgreens and CVS very close.
This is a simple, clean hotel in Condado. The location is great, within walking distance to beach, bars and restaurants. However, there is no sound absorption whatsoever and as people were yelling and slamming doors all night long, it echoed throughout the hotel and we couldn't get any sleep. Also, the AC unit in the room was not consistent. All in all, it was an OK hotel stay.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel...close to the beach, walgreens, during the night it was fun to walk and see many tourist..it was busy.. Which i like instead of bring sucluded... The only thing was the parking... Even if you had to pay for it ..it was never guaranteed...I had to looped around a couple of times just to find a free parking on the street...other than that I loved it!!!

Otima localização e bom custo benefício.

A minha experiência foi de um curto período, porém achei boas as instalações, atendimento, limpeza e o melhor de tudo a localização, já que fica próximo à praia e avenida com bares e restaurantes.

Great location & excellent staff

Posted 15-Jul-2015
I'm a single female who stayed at this hotel in July by myself and every one of the staff members whr excellent. It looks just like it's pictures They wr all very helpful and the fact they speak English was a plus. The hotel was very clean and is in the perfect location minutes alway from the beach, restaurants, Walgreens, you can even walk to Walmart & the 99 cent store. I walked the area day and night alone & never felt unsafe. The hotel is on the bus line &it was only 75 cent to catch bus 53 to old San Juan. The only down side is that it can be a little loud so bring ear plugs if you are a lite sleeper & breakfast is muffins & bagels. All & all I would definitely recommend me them to friends and hands down all the staff deserve a raise...excellent,excellent,excellent

Unique and close to the beach!

I had a fantastic stay here. The staff (Miguel and Noel) was helpful and friendly. We arrived a little early and the staff gave us all the ins and outs of the neighborhood and such. Our room was clean and adequate as we really only needed a place to sleep. The location could not be better - two blocks from the beach and hundreds of things to do. We were a short ride (cab or bus) to Old San Juan. In short, this hotel really made my trip incredible!!! I am definitely staying here again!

Not a good choice

Posted 24-Jun-2015
Pros: Nothing
Basic room to say the least. The lady that works over night was outstanding and a great asset to your staff. The guy and gal that we met at check in are something else.

Very nice old style hotel. Close to beach/shopping

Posted 19-Jun-2015
Pros: Very authentic, excellent staff, and we really liked the open-air concept of the main areas. (Very much like my wife's hometown growing up.)
Cons: The continental breakfast could handle at least some muffins or something besides plain bread product. Or at least some jelly for toast.
Location: Shops 2 blocks away. Beach 3 blocks away. Old San Juan a quick bus trip away. Lots of nice restaurants nearby.
The staff at the hotel are amazing. We arrived a little before our room was ready (check in is at 3pm, we were there at 12:45.) They agreed to hold our luggage there at the desk and gave us a map and some directions on how to get around town. We got tips on how to save money on transportation instead of getting taxi's to take us around for $15-25 each trip. The hotel is an older style hotel, very well kept. No elevators, only stairs, so keep that in mind if you can't do stairs. The main areas are open air, with a nice open deck on the 2nd level. There is no view of the ocean, but it's a nice deck to enjoy the outdoors. Otherwise, it's a very minimalist hotel, which is just fine by us. If you're looking for a place to stay all day and keep you busy at the hotel, then this is not your hotel, but if you're looking for something that will be a more authentic-style, open-air place (there's still air conditioning in the rooms) then this is for you. The beach is three short blocks away. Literally at the end of the street. (The street dead ends into it.) The beach is shared with some other hotels, but it was not crowded when we went (though we also went later than many crowds.) There is a Chinese restaurant attached, and some other good food nearby. The main dishes in the Chinese place are big, so consider splitting. The only real negative is that they advertise a continental breakfast. It's bread, bagels, a toaster, cream cheese and orange juice. Nothing to get excited about.
